Leadership style of nurse managers from the viewpoint of regular nurses.
BRILOVÁ, Marie
The most common techniques used in the nursing process include the inspiration of both the nursing team and its individual members and influencing the thinking and behaviour of the individual members of the nursing team for the purpose of affecting the outcome and success of the team as a whole. One of the key elements influencing the others is the manager?s leadership style. The first objective of this Bachelor?s thesis was to determine the leadership style mostly commonly used by nurse managers. In order to assess the leadership style of nurse managers, a managerial grid was used. H1 was determined as: Nurse managers mostly use the ?team management? style. The second objective was to determine whether regular nurses are considered to be partners of their respective nurse managers. In order to assess the relationship between regular nurses and nurse manager, five statement describing their relationship (cooperation, personal and work space, work skills, goals and human relations, respect) were selected. H2 was determined as: Regular nurses consider the relationship with the nurse manager to be a ?partnership?. The first part of the Bachelor´s thesis is dedicated to the theoretical knowledge in the area of leadership and management, classification of leadership styles and their use within the system of leadership and provision of the nursing care. The empirical part of the Bachelor?s thesis was drafted using a quantitative research method. In order to obtain the necessary data and information, a questionnaire designed for regular nurses was used. The research survey was conducted at Nemocnice Rudolfa a Stefanie Benešov, a.s., Hospital of the Central Bohemia Region. The survey was conducted at a total of 21 inpatient department centres. A total of 190 questionnaires were distributed. The return rate was 92%. Therefore, 175 questionnaires were processed. The research survey revealed that the leadership style most commonly used by nurse managers with respect to regular nurses is the ?middle way?, with an average result of 4.46, closely followed by the ?team management?, with an average result of 4.44. The expected H1 was not confirmed. The relationship between nurse managers and regular nurses characterised as ?partnership? was supported by affirmative answers with respect to the five selected statements in 85% of the cases. The expected H2 was confirmed. In practice, it is possible to build on the most commonly used leadership styles to have been identified. Based on the evaluated leadership styles, nurse managers may be trained in leadership techniques, development of individual managerial activities and their practical application. Future managers may then be selected in a consistent manner, meticulously prepared for the managerial position and taught managerial skills.

Effect of organic and conventional potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) farming on selected characteristics of potato tuber proteins
MÍČKA, Tomáš
Diploma thesis follows the influence of organic and conventional potato management (Solanum tuberosum L.) on tuber protein content. Potato protein represents from 1/3 to {$^1\!/\!_2$} of total tuber nitrogen compound and belongs among the most valuable plant proteins - its high value is given by high level of essential amino acids. Important group of potato proteins is a patatin (complex of patatin proteins), which is considered as a major storage protein and has many important physiological functions such as antioxidant activity and function of defense system against pathogenic organisms. The aim of the the work was to determined content of crude protein, pure protein and patatin proteins representation in the total protein of potato tubers. The diploma thesis was solved using 5 potatoes varieties, 2 year{\crq}s repetition and variant of organic and conventional potato production system. The obtained data were statistically evaluated. It was found, that content of dry matter in potato tubers was significantly influenced by a year and locality of the field experiment. Crude protein content in potato tubers was significantly influenced by a year, variety and type of potato management system. The potato tubers produced under conventional and organic management contained 9.93 and 9.16 % of crude protein in dry matter, respectively. Pure protein content was significantly influenced by variety. The affect of crop management on the pure protein content was not statistically signifiant. However, slightly higher content of pure protein was evaluated in dry matter of potato tuber produced under convetional than under organic crop management resulting in average value of 4.23 and 3.86 %, respectively. Representation of pure protein in total content of nitrogen matters was significantly influenced by variety and a year of growing. Complex of patatin proteins (40-45 kDa) was detected for all of the evaluated potato varieties and variants of the field experiment. Higher number of patatin isoforms (with rather physiological function) was investigated in potato tubers from organic crop management.

Meaning of localization factors in production of entrepreneurial program of company
ŠÍSL, Zdeněk
Small companies play an important role on the market and make part of the developed market economics. They create a sound environment of competition and mainly fight against unemployment of the given region. When setting up a company, the enterpriser forms his aims and visions, according to which he creates the entrepreneurial activity plan. Every form of business is connected with some risk, which the plan attempts to minimalize. An important part of the entrepreneurial plan form location factors, which are the basic aspect in the choice of the placement of the entreprise. The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze such factors and choose the appropriate positioning of such form of business. The selected alternative for the placing of this production element is Strmilov, especially thanks to the cooperation of Josef Prokop with company KORES, which appears to be very suitable for both sides. Strmilov is a town in the South Bohemian region, which belongs to the township of Jindrichuv Hradec. A detailed analyse has revealed that this area has a very eligible infrastructure for this kind of cooperation. However, the most important criteria is the influence of human resources, mainly the height of the wages, which is under the national average. The entrepreneur has enough sources of his own capital and that is why the entreprise has a low rate of insolvency. Josef Prokop is going to take advantage of the {\clqq}soft regional loan``, which will be used towards purchase of the assembly machines. His company is going to be profitable already after the first year and very prosperous in the following years of its existance. It is not going to get affected by the economical crisis either. This diploma thesis refers to the cooperation with a settled company and mainly points at the eligibility of the choice of the region for this kind of commercial use.

Title: Comparison of performance in test of skating with and without the puck among the Extraleague U16 competition defensemen and forwards Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare basic ice hockey skills of defensemen and forwards in a skating test carried out with and without the puck. We would like to analyze the data we receive, draw conclusions about the skills of players and come up with practice recommendations for defensemen and forwards. Methods: The diploma thesis was written from a methodological point of view based on experiment, which resulted in a comparative analysis by using different statistical methods. The testing was done on ice hockey stadiums of HC Hvězda Praha, HC Slavia Praha and HC Letci Letňany. The tested group of ice hockey players came from HC Hvězda Praha, HC Slavia Praha and HC Letci Letňany who play in the Extraleague U16 competition. Results: From the results and comparison of average performances of the U16 players we can conclude that the defensemen did not dominate over the forwards in backward skating, tests carried out with the puck. The difference performances of backward skating without the puck was 0,12sec (in favor of the forwards) and in backward skating with the puck 0,69sec (in favor of the forwards). And not even when comparing deficient...

Vojtková, Katarína ; Dittrich, Milan (advisor) ; Berka, Pavel (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Candidate: Katarína Vojtková Supervisor: Doc.RNDr. Milan Dittrich, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Influence of reduction agent on granulometric parameters of silver nanoparticles The aim of this work is to test the influence of different technological parameters on the production of silver nanoparticles. The method used along the experiments was the Tollens reduction method. As reduction agents, there were used various monosaccharides, mainly glucose, oligosaccharides, maltose, lactose and branched polysaccharide Litesse® Ultra in different concentrations. There were used mixtures of two reducing agents as well as addition of surfactants. The concentration of silver reducing ions was increased also. The work contains comparison of the effects of different concentrations of the reducing agents used and also comparison of any changes of the conditions used for the preparation samples (e.g. freezing). Both phases of nucleation and growth were modified either by microwave radiation or ultrasound irradiation. In case of the later the samples showed very small nanoparticles with an average intensity diameter of 20 nm. The outcoming results are presented in tables and pictures. The resulting products...

Sound track
Švarcová, Johana ; BENDOVÁ, Helena (advisor) ; ŠERÝ, Ladislav (referee)
I am interested in the sound track's autonomy within the framework of a film, and in the specific characteristics of a sound track's relation to the missing picture. I am equally interested in sound tracks in movies that are almost devoid of picture: films where the picture retreats and leaves the film space to sound. At present, film is usually understood as an audiovisual medium, with most audiences preferring picture to sound. In other words, in film, the majority views the picture as the foreground and the sound track as the film's background, something that accompanies it. From this perspective, I am interested in what is "hidden" for an average film viewer in the background of the film. In his text The Aesthetics of Failure, Kim Cascone explains the focus on the background in the following words: The basic composition of 'background' is comprised of data we filter out to focus on our immediate surroundings. The data hidden in our perceptual 'blind spot' contains worlds waiting to be explored, if we choose to shift our focus there. A part of my text is an analysis of Walter Ruttmann's film Wochenende, 1930. The text is also partially dedicated to works researching the border of visuality (e.g. Malevich's Black Square).

Resuspension chamber as a tool for determination of resuspendable fraction of soil and street dust
Civiš, Martin ; Hovorka, Jan (advisor) ; Ždímal, Vladimír (referee) ; Střižík, Michal (referee)
A purpose-built cylindrical resuspension chamber (V=0.437 m3 , S=0.35 m2 , S/V=8.38) was used for the dispersion of samples of soil and various kinds of dust. The samples were studied from the point of view of the number and mass distribution of aerosol particles which could affect the concentration of atmospheric aerosol. The samples were taken from lignite, power plant flue ash and from overburden soil in the North Bohemian surface mine Nastup. The individual samples were pneumatically dispersed inside the chamber under defined temperature-humidity conditions (20řC and relative humidity (RH) 50 %). An APS (Aerodynamic Particle Sizer) processing provided us with average size distributions of particle mass and number. Lignite and flue ash probably have the greatest potential impact on the concentration of atmospheric aerosol in the studied locality. The amount of the resuspended mass of the samples varied between 0.001 % (overburden soil) and 0.32 % (mine road). The lignite and flue ash samples were then analyzed by gravimetric methods using the HI (Harvard Impactor) and the SCI (Sioutas Cascade Impactor). The flue ash contained higher amounts of fine particles than the lignite. Subsequent chemical analysis by electron microscope of the filters with deposits of power plant flue ash showed that the PM2.5...

The fish community in the Divoká Orlice River near Kostelec nad Orlicí, and the genetic diversity of the local common gudgeon population
Mendel, Jan ; Lusková, Věra ; Lusk, Stanislav ; Halačka, Karel
The fish community was investigated in two localities (r. km 46.7 and 49.1) on the Divoká Orlice River near Kostelec nad Orlicí . Besides the species characteristic of salmonid waters (Salmo trutta, Thymalus thymallus, Phoxinus phoxinus, Cottus gobio ) there are species typical of a barbel community (Barbus barbus, Leuciscus cephalus, L. leuciscus, Gobio gobio). The occurrence of Lampetra planeri has also been recorded. The abundance attained 4,294 and 6,612 exx..; the weight, 363.8 and 509.7 kg respectively, converted to 1 hectare of water surface. The allozyme analysis of G.gobio has shown that the diversity of the population under study is average, compared to other populations examined in other streams Using the RAPD method, two identification markers have been found for the fish in the population examined. The genetic analysis of mtDNA provided a unique haplotype serving to differentiate the gudgeon population.

Speaker identity indicators in the domain of the temporal modulation of the speech signal
Weingartová, Lenka ; Volín, Jan (advisor) ; Machač, Pavel (referee)
AbstractAbstractAbstractAbstract This diploma thesis aims to contribute to the field of speaker recognition in the domain of temporal changes in the speech signal. After a brief introduction into forensic phonetics, it gives an outline of approaches and factors which help or hinder successful recognition. The focus is then shifted to the temporal structure of speech and approaches to its analysis currently in use. The practical section of this thesis consists of an experiment designed to assess the contribution of certain temporal measures to speaker recognition. The variables used here are %V (the proportion of vocalic intervals within a sentence), ΔV and ΔC (the standard deviation of the duration of vocalic/consonantal intervals within a sentence), VarcoV and VarcoC (the previous variables normalised for average interval duration) and the Pairwise Variability Indices, both vocalic and consonantal, raw and normalised. Beside these, another variable is used to capture the local articulation rate and especially final deceleration in the utterances - LAR (the inverse of the distance between successive midpoints of the vocalic intervals). Whereas the first mentioned variables are not very successful in distinguishing the speakers, LAR seems very well suited for capturing speaker idiosyncrasies, although...
