Charles University in Prague, Fakulty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of: Department of Pharmaceutical Technology Candidate: Mgr. Olga Wanková Consultant: RNDr. Marie Musilová, Csc. Title of Thesis: Thermal analysis of interaction of epidermal lipids VII. The main components of epidermal lipids are ceramides and cholesterol. Using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), this dissertation explores the interaction between cholesterol and pseudoceramide 14S24, synthesized at the Department of Inor- ganic and Organic Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové, Charles University in Prague. Eleven samples of different composition were analyzed. The concentrations of individual components in the samples ranged between 0% and 100%. The mixture of components was weighed in measuring cups. It was then heated and cooled in DSC until subsequent records showed changes in temperature characte- ristics. The temperatures characteristics of individual mixtures were determined. Key words: ceramides, DSC, epidermis, cholesterol, stratum corneum, pseudoceramide 14S24

Poetics of Dramatic Works of Mara Zalite
Česnohlídková, Barbora ; Lemeškin, Ilja (advisor) ; Štoll, Pavel (referee)
The first chapter of the thesis presents Mary Zālīte's personality. The next chapter deals with sources of inspirational works. Here are the figures mentioned by name, that affected the author so much, that their legacy is in her work very noticeable. The following chapter examines and also analyzes the author's poetry, which has features in common with her drama. Another chapter has been focused on the Zālīte's drama, particularly the poetic drama, where the author's analysis in the form of plays and librettos found connection between, that were typical for the authors motives. These analyses were also helpful in the creation of the last chapter of the thesis, which explores the poetic drama M. Zālīte's Margaret. Based on a detailed analysis of the play Margaret was performed comparing the modern play with the Goethe's classic work Faust, which revealed a number of common elements but also innovations of the author.

Self-concept in Motherhood
Kalodová, Lucie ; Loneková, Katarína (advisor) ; Horáková Hoskovcová, Simona (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the topics of self-concept and motherhood. The part that deals with self-concept contains its definition, possible ways for it to be studied, its aspects, structure and dynamics. It also describes aspects examined in the research part i.e. self-concept clarity and self-esteem and provides an overview of commonly used methods for self-concept research. The part about motherhood formulates motherhood as a social construct and a biological aspect; it deals with the ambivalence to motherhood, motherhood and partner relationships, motherhood and work. Finally, it deals with the published research on the topic of self-concept in motherhood. The research part deals with self-concept clarity and self-esteem during motherhood. The aim is to explore self-concept clarity and self-esteem of mothers on parental leave with their first child old between (0.5-4 years) and compare them with mothers, which are also on parental leave with their first child old between (0.5-4 years) and work regularly; and also childless women aged 25 to 35 years. The following diagnostic tools were used that purpose: Self-concept Clarity Scale, Rosenberg's Self-esteem Scale, NEO-FFI.

Comparison of philosophic and ethic motives in the literary work of A.Camus and J.P.Sartre
Bečvářová, Lenka ; Blažková, Miloslava (advisor) ; Prázný, Aleš (referee)
RESUME My diploma thesis is focused on the comparison of opinions of Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus concerning existential and philosophical motifs in their literary work. I tried to compare the occurrence of individual existential categories, based on selected philosophical and literary works of both authors, who rank among the French branch of atheist existentialism. The first chapter deals with basic characteristics of existential philosophy and its changes between the two wars; and the consequential spreading of this philosophy thinking in the post-war Europe, in which it achieved a great success in a few branches. Majority of this chapter is devoted to French existentialism, whose goal was to explore and describe concrete existence, while human being (existence) is identified as freedom there. It was due to Jean- Paul Sartre that French existentialism has become the most significant way of thinking. The two following chapters briefly describe the lives of Sartre and Camus; because the lives of authors who write philosophical and literary works are always interconnected with their work. The second and third chapter contain the analysis of selected works of both authors, while I didn't forget the dramatic work which is a part of philosophical ad literary work and by means of that I presented mainly...

Ethnographic entities in Notes of Marie Červinková-Riegrová
Svobodová, Jana ; Štěpánová, Irena (advisor) ; Sochorová, Ludmila (referee)
The study deals with analysis of perception and description of ethnographic entities by Marie Červinková-Riegrová, as reflected in her Notes. The basic source is completed by other sources, mainly Memorial book of Maleč and family correspondence. The first part is paid to the study of biography of Marie Červinková-Riegrová, which is a necessary framework for exploring her relation to ethnographic issues. In another part are analyzed the Notes and their potential use for the Ethnography. The next chapter deals with the concept of patriotism as the author of Notes understood. Patriotism is introduced as one of the starting points of Marie's interest of ethnographic entities. The next chapter deals with specific manifestations of folk culture, folk customs, etc., and their reflections by Marie Červinková-Riegrová. The main emphasis is placed on the folk costume description. The following part is relating to religious pilgrimages and sacred places. The last chapter analyzes folk customs and traditions followed in the Rieger family and on the farm of Maleč.

There are four dominant themes: the aggression, the death, the masculine and feminine element and the. The "material" is made up by following dramas: Bodas de sangre, Mariana Pineda, Doa Rosita la soltera, Yerma, La casa de Bernarda Alba, Amor de don Perlimplín con Belisa en su jardín, La zapatera prodigiosa. The results of the own investigation is preceded by the chapter which recapitulates the conclusions of the exploration of the themes up to the present day. This accesses are comentated: psychoanalytic method, fenomenologic and and hermeneutic method, sociocultural and anthropological method, autobiographic and hermeneutic method, folkloric and symbolic method. The first chapter which deals with the aggression in Lorca's dramatic works focuses on the malign aggression and presents the symbols and metaphors associated with the malign aggression. It comments the aggressivity and the immanency and the potenciality of the aggression. The second chapter investigates the representation of the death inklusive the symbols, images and presages of the death. A particular attention is dedicated to the types of the death, to the fatality and the parsonification of the death. The third chapter concentrated on...

Nonlinear modelling of meteorological data
Pop, Lukáš ; Raidl, Aleš (advisor) ; Mikšovský, Jiří (referee)
Thesis deals with possibilities of application of nonlinear methods based on the theory of dynamical systems, for meteorological problems. In the first part there is explored description of the dynamical systems, namely deterministic chaotic systems, for them this methods were introduced. There is described the concept of attractor and its typical invariants. In the next part there are summarized different ways of reconstruction of phase space of system by means of time series produced by it. A modification of Cao's method is proposed here. Possibilities of prediction of meteorological quantities are proposed here. In the next part there is described influence of different sorts of signal noise and inaccuracies of measuring to the dynamical system that is described by logistic equation. That is a simple example of deterministic chaotic system. In the last part there are analysed single types of errors, of them nonlinear methods of prediction are encumbered. There are described typical properties and specialities of meteorological data. There are tried modifications of local linear models also, what is applied to data of NCEP/NCAR reanalysis.
