Recycling plants in the Czech Republic
Průžková, Kateřina ; Kropáč, Jiří (referee) ; Gregor, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on recycling the municipal waste components (glass, paper, plastic). First part of the thesis contains a research into the current state of the waste management and its collection technologies. The following chapter consists in description of the waste components, their recycling and utilization as secondary raw materials including resource efficiency during the plastic recycling. The next part of the work comprises the list of recycling plants, which is sorted by the type of the waste processed. A separate chapter is focused on the technology of the plastic processing recycling line and its energy intensity. Subsequently, the cost of this recycling line and its components is introduced.

MERINA 2.0
Ambrosová, Katarína ; Goluchová, Martina (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The aim is to create a vision for the future development of a problematic brownfield near the city center of Trenčín. The territory of former MERINO textile factory next to the military barracks, park and railway station is for long neglected, but still valuable in terms of urbanism, industrial heritage and new urban potential. The project will focus on the realistic spatial restructuring of the area and on the search for its new functional content.

The construction of the magnetic metal powder separator
Papaj, Lukáš ; Suchý, Jan (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of construction for recyclation metal powder, which is used in multi-material 3D printing with SLM technology. More specifically it is separation of mixed metal powders by magnetic separator, which is capable of separating two powders with the same distributions. Based on knowledge from industrial separators and successful experiment method of separating with magnetic drum was chosen, on which is equally driven metal powder from vibrating feeder. In executed experiment was discovered, that the method is appropriate for separating non-magnetic powder but for high quality separation of magnetic powder must be adjusted speed of feeding. Next was processed drawing documentation for this variant. By this documentation can be separator assembled and used in laboratory for separating metal powders.

Experimental comparison of recycled and non-recycled filament of ABS plastic
Grygar, Filip ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
Plastic waste which arises from 3D print could be recycled. One of the most used materials is ABS with which this degree work deals. During recycling of ABS mechanical qualities rapidly deteriorate which is compensated by adding non-recycled ABS. This degree work dealt with a ratio of 25% of recycled to 75% of non-recycled material which is a ratio not have been tested so far, and most likely represents a boundary ratio when recycling still makes sense. Unfortunately, it was not possible to extrude from a recycled material a filament of high-quality enough which could be used for problem-free print. It was influenced by non-homogeneity of crushed components and the construction of an extruder. For improving the characteristics a more complex extruder would be needed, with a bigger screw diameter or with two screws, and also a cooling system with more zones. Professional grinders with screens would have to be used for improving homogeneity of the material. The melt flow index of the liquid alloy and the testing of the filament itself showed that this way is practicable and such a recycling is realistic.

Use of FRP Composites as Reinforcing Material for Concrete
Kratochvílová, Denisa ; Prokeš,, Jan (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
Because FRP composites have high fiber strength and good durability, they are increasingly used for repairs, modernisation and reconstruction of concrete structures. In practice, however there is a risk of premature separation of FRP reinforcement from concrete. This can be avoided by appropriate selecting the fibers and the matrix and the appropriate shape of the reinforcement. The actual materials and consistency of FRP reinforcement with concrete are also covered by this diploma thesis.

Harvesting and reuse of cellulose from wastewater
Kobzová, Kamila ; Úterský, Michal (referee) ; Hlavínek, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to highlight the properties of cellulose fibers obtained from waste water and the importance of recycling of raw materials. The main objective is then to further explore the possibilities of using cellulose fibers as a valuable product on the market. The practical part of the thesis is focused on specific research of cellulose properties and design of equipment for sewage treatment plant according to its size.

The issue of heat treated waste and optimization of properties for their use in construction
Čermák, Jan ; Mareček,, Jan (referee) ; Žižková, Nikol (referee) ; Kohoutková,, Alena (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
Given the increasing consumption of plastic materials their reuse becomes a very topical issue. Recycling the single-cleaned plastic waste is simple, these products can be used as raw material or additive in the manufacture of new products. The problem remains the energy, economic and environmental demands in sorting, cleaning and eventual regranulation of waste to a suitable feedstock. This problem can be solved using technology that is able to handle multiple-type waste thermoplastics in further useful products.
