Political discourse of infertility in the years 1989 - 2012 in the Czech Republic
Kostelecká, Hana ; Dudová, Radka (advisor) ; Vávra, Martin (referee)
This thesis describes and analyses discourses that preceded the legislation changes regarding assisted reproduction in connection with setting an upper age limit for women who are undergoing assisted reproduction treatments in socialist system as well as in democratic system. This work defined discourses of both political systems compares with the accent on governmentality as a tool for population control. This analysis is valuable primarily because of describing principles of working the whole "system of assisted reproduction" and provides insight into the political discourse of infertility, respective on its part concerning the Czech legislation taking into account the phenomenon of reproductive tourism. No one from the topics - both the political discourse of infertility then the reproductive tourism have not had been in the Czech literature written up yet. The work shows the establishment of proper parenting standards in the political discourse through the topic of artificial insemination. Key words Infertility, assisted reproduction, reproductive tourism, discourse, frames, normality of motherhood, prekarization of infertility, governmentality, biopower, Michel Foucault
Two video-processing problems by means of nontraditional methods
Kánský, Antonín ; Mangová, Marie (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to solve two problems from the field of video editing by means of sparse representation of signals. The problematics of the traditional realisation of two effects, which are background separation of and separation background from moving foreground, is clarified here, as well as the problematics of sparse signals. The solutions was achieved through the method of Principal component analysis (PCP). The resulting algorithm is implemented and tested by simulated and real data.
Restoration of degraded audiosignals using sparse representations
Mokrý, Ondřej ; Veselý, Vítězslav (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the problem of inpainting a segment of missing samples in an audiosignal. The signal is represented as sparse vector using discrete Gabor transform. The problem of inpainting missing samples while preserving the sparsity of the representation is formulated as an optimisation task, which is then solved using Douglas-Rachford algorithm. In contrast with the state-of-the-art approaches, the algorithm is extended by proposing method for compensating the energy decrease which occurs in the restored signal.
Modern audio signal restoration methods
Kalník, Jan ; Mangová, Marie (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with modern methods of audio signal inpainting. Main methods used will be sparse signal representations. Those will be implemented into MATLAB software using LTFAT and UNLocBoX toolboxes. Next we would like to accomplish the best results with the audio inpainting and then compare these results as well as subjectively as objectively.
Java AST Query Language
Bílek, Jiří ; Matula, Peter (referee) ; Křivka, Zbyněk (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to design a Java AST query language and implement tool that uses the query language. This work overviews graph databases and their libraries with focus on Neo4J and Titan. This thesis overviews tools Java bytecode analysis as well. Libraries Procyon and BCEL are described in detail. The work includes a proposal the query language and detailed description of the tool implementation, together with the detailed description of the way how Java entities are stored into the graph databases. In the end, the work deals with experiments and the evaluation of the time complexity of the library.
Evaluation of Complementary Car Body Equipment from the Point of View of Legislation
Knebl, Vladimír ; Tylšar, Vladimír (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis discusses the possibilities of additional equipment on vehicle body. The content of the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the fundamental concepts, including the issue of legislative regulations and laws. The practical part deals with specific examples of changes in the body, which are then examined in terms of legislation and clarify their possible assembly and conditions of use.
Audio inpainting algorithms
Bartlová, Hana ; Veselý, Vítězslav (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with audio inpainting problem. Firstly, basic concepts are summarized. Then, sparse representation of signals is introduced along with several algorithms. In the main part dedicated to the audio inpainting, the problem is defined and actual methods are presented and compared. The newest approach using the harmonic strucure of sound signals is then introduced, followed by several experiments and evaluation. Lastly, an algorithm ensuring the maximal computational efficiency is derived.
Audio inpainting algorithms
Knowledge representation methods
Verbík, Josef ; Polách, Petr (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of knowledge representation within expert systems. The thesis describes the expert systems and their history. Furthermore, it provides a description of individual types of expert systems and their components. Following this description, there is a characteristic of the knowledge representation. These characteristic has been divided into two parts. The first part describes the requirements neccessary for efficient knowledge representation. The second part describes the following individual methods of knowledge representation: rules, frames, semantic nets and predicate logic.
Software module generating "atoms" for purposes of overcomplete signal representation
Špiřík, Jan ; Průša, Zdeněk (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is generating new "atoms'' for purposes of overcomplete signal representation for toolbox Frames in MATLAB. At first is described the principle of overcomplete systems and so-called frames. In the thesis is introduced the basic distribution of frames and conditions of their constructions. There is described the basic principle of finding the sparse solutions in overcomplete systems too. The main part is dealt with construction single functions for generating "atoms'', such as: Gabor function, B-splines, Bézier curves, Daubechies wavelets, etc. At last there is introduced an example of usage these functions for reconstruction signal in comparison with Fourier and wavelet transforms.
