The effectiveness of high intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis.
Pitnerová, Lenka ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Author: Bc. Lenka Pitnerová Title: The effectiveness of high intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the effect of high and low intensity laser therapy for plantar fasciitis compared with therapeutic ultrasound. Methods: The study included 50 patients with diagnose of heel spur syndrome. Patients were divided into three groups according to undergoing therapy. Group A (n = 20) received 10 applications of high intensity laser therapy, group B (n = 20) obtained 10 applications of low intensity laser therapy and group C (n=10) received 10 applications of therapeutic ultrasound. Intensity and character of the pain were assessed before and after therapeutic intervention using non- standardized questionnaire and numeric pain rating scale. For the assessment and description of the results were used standard statistical indicators and methods. Results: High intensity laser therapy had according to the obtained results positive effect on the clinical course of the disease and was markedly more effective than therapeutic ultrasound in treatment of plantar fasciitis. Almost all parameters reached the highest percentage improvement in the group treated with high intensity laser. The results are influenced by a smaller sample of patients and by inhomogeneity of...
Distant effects of muscle electrostimulation
Koláček, Michal ; Slabý, Kryštof (advisor) ; Demeková, Júlia (referee)
This work is trying to identify possible non-stimulatory effects and distant effects of muscle electrostimulation musculus quadriceps femoris based on a literature search. Furthermore evaluates the influence of High Tone Electrical Stimulation (HTEMS) muscles of lower limbs on the activity of the autonomic nervous system, expressed by heart rate variability, a spectral power in the individual frequency bands. Randomized crossover study involved 20 healthy subjects (12 men and 8 women), average age 24.6 ± 5.6 years. Heart rate variability was evaluated before application of HTEMS and immediately after. Measurements were performed with electrostimulator HiToP 191. The results did not show statistically significant increase in spectral power in the individual frequency bands. The study also deals with the reproducibility of measurements of sensitive and motor threshold for electrostimulation HTEMS method, which was confirmed. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Electrotherapy
Vodochodská, Andrea ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with types of physiatric treatment as phototherapy, thermotherapy, cryotherapy and mechanotherapy. But primarily with electrotherapy, which is divided into two groups, distant and contact. In this thesis modes and principles of using electrotherapy are described. The main attention is paid to analysis of individual electrical currents which are mainly used in the process of electrotherapy. The final part of the thesis deals with design of battery powered generator for electrotherapy.
Electrotherapy
Fernandová, Dominika ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the methods of physiatric treatment and realization of a generator and a device for electrotherapy. In the first part, electrotherapy is analyzed in detail and other methods are mentioned only briefly (they are listed here for completeness). When analyzing electrotherapy main attention was paid to electrical currents that are mainly used. Diagnoses for which electrotherapy is suitable are also mentioned. The second part of this thesis deals with designing a generator in LabView software and designing and implementing a device for electrotherapy.
Micro-pulse stimulation and its use in physiatric treatment
Nedvědová, Marie ; Kolouch, Jaromír (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
General part of the Bachelor´s thesis follows the electrical current with all its effects on the human organism. There is confronted both positive therapeutic usage in physiatric treatment and negative influence on man because of its electrical dangerous activity. The following research brings the newest information about pulsed current use in electrotherapy. The research results are summarized in an overview of the selected electrotherapeutic methods. This is also a point of departure for practical part of the project – micro-pulse stimulator design. The early conception of the stimulator´s circuit function was based on the simulation with the usage of PSpice. The theoretical device draft peaks with the functional sample realization and there were taken some records of the pulse time course by the oscilloscope measurements with this sample.
Apparatus for electrotherapy
Kopečný, Josef ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
In the beginning of this thesis are described principles of physiatric treatment. The electrotherapy is analysed in more detail. Firstly with respect to the conduction of current into the skin, secondly with respect to using of various kinds of currents, which are normally used for this electrotherapy. Also electrodes and conversion of current between electrode and the skin are mentioned. The last part of this thesis focused on the proposition and realization of simple apparatus for this electrotherapy.
Design and implementation of revisions devices for the treatment of hyperhidrosis
Vejnar, Pavel ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
Thesis deals with the design and realization of revisions devices for the treatment of hyperhidrosis. One of the methods how to treat hyperhidrosis is iontophoresis. This prevents sweating using an electric current. The work is divided on the parts. First part is a theory, which deals with basic principles of treatment. Next part is the analysis of original solutions and hardware design of new solutions. In conclusion I revive device by microcontroller programming and checking its functionality. I was able to create a prototype board, programmable firmware and successfully tested a prototype.
Electrotherapy
Slavíček, Milan ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
Aim those work is suggest simple generator for electropathy. In exordium deal with features weaving and fission current used in the electrotherapy. Draft part then includes proposal single part generator and calculations needed to achievement purposes. Result is then diagram simple generator for production Träbert flows and list parts.
Family House with Rehabilitative Centre
Jurutková, Zuzana ; Hlásková, Michaela (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis solves with the new building object with establishment – the rehabilitative centre. The building has a partial basement. There is a garage and other technical rooms in the basement. On the first floor there is an operating part, other rooms on the first floor and in the attic are apointed for living.
The forms of regeneration and its contemporary trends
PEKÁRKOVÁ, Petra
The thesis comprises a comprehensive summary of particular types of regeneration and their contemporary trends. The introduction focuses on regeneration and relaxation in general, and then the attention is given to the mechanotherapy- massage, its types, health effects and history. The heat therapy which is specialized in sauna and its new trends is connected with the mechanotherapy. To the heat therapy belong also packs and compresses. The hydrotherapy and its several types are characterized in the next part. Further this work attends to the electrotherapy and phototherapy. The last part of the research deals with the cupping therapy, acupuncture, oxygen therapy, salt chamber and vacuum carbonic acid bath. The result of the research is a complete list of types of regeneration designed for the general public.
