The diploma thesis deal with the proposal of connector manufacturing from bronze sheet CuSn6, thickness 1.5mm in production volume of 1.600.000 parts per year. From considered manufacturing variants there was chosen shearing and forming technology of thread in the progressive stamping die. For part production was selected pressing machine Bruderer 1250 with nominal pressing force 1250 kN from company E. Bruderer Maschinenfabrik AG. In the economical evaluation there were determined expenses 21.6 Kč per one piece including demanded profit. The turning point was calculated at production of 165.522 parts.
Assemblying effect on cable lines quality
Dočkal, Martin ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
In the first part is explained what actually a structured cabling is. Its beginning, from what and why it was created. Its history when at the beginning were applied unbalanced coaxial cables, those were later replaced by balanced cables. In cabling for TVs are still used coaxial cables. Balanced cables are according to type named UTP, STP, FTP, and so on. Whit growing popularity of this type of cabling and its wide spread application was necessary to set some rules, standards, specifications and demands, how to build up the cabling from project to realization. According to these rules is the system built so there are strict rules for length of subsystems and interfaces and the whole appearance of the structure cabling. Next important point is projecting of cabling that is related to the previous points and when it’s finished, we should strictly follow it. With the project is closely connected characteristic of this cabling as attenuations, cross-talks and other transmission parameters which are measured in the practical part. In the second part is spoken about all the parts of which the structured cabling consists - metallic and optical connecting elements and cables. There are also mentioned their mechanical, electrical and transmission features. In the third part is described influence of man on the quality of structured cabling and the most common causes of lower quality and the ways how to prevent this from happening and how to manipulate with cabling not to destroy it. The final (fourth) part considers the measurement. There are measured qualities of metallic wires as the attenuations, delay, cross-talks on the near- and far-end, impedance and resistance. To all the features are mentioned schemes of the measurement on the twisted pairs. The measurement is divided into two parts. In the first part are measured five types of balanced cables of different length, category and damage influencing quality of these cables. In the second part is measured one balanced cable if it’s corresponding with category 5 for that t was made and if it would be possible to use it also for higher category 6. Values are tabularly sorted in tables.
Influence of optical connectors and of other effects on optical link attenuation
Winkler, Aleš ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
In this time the metalic wires meet not the requirements of high capacitance and rate wire and so the new, modern fiber wires are more and more being used. This bachelor`s thesis deals with three basic kinds of connections of fiber wires, optical connector, mechanical coupling a optical weld, and their effect on optical link attenuation realized by fiber optics. The optical link is possible realized number of kinds fiber optics. In this thesis are most often used multimod and a little multimod fiber optics. By mechanical coupling are explored their effects of attenuation on optical link a their detrition after disconnection and next connection back to the optical line. For optical weld is explored quality assignet optic welder. For optical connectors is explored their quality of cleanness through apparatus OTDR( Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and geometrical properties through apparatus FIBO 250.
Standards for application of polymer optical fibres
Stiburek, Martin ; Tejkal, Vladimír (referee) ; Šporik, Jan (advisor)
The aim of thesis is description of polymer optical fiber (POF). In particular, focusing on their application and its associated standardization. After explaining the principle of signal transmission by polymer fibers, glass fibers are compared with the polymer fibers. The attention is then paid to the types of POF and their connectors. Another part is engaged in standards of polymer fibers, according to their area of application. Following chapter describes the application of polymer fibers in practice, especially in the automotive industry and sensor technology. Standalone chapter is dedicated to deploying POF fibers in LANs. It mentions comparasion with copper and wireless networks, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages. Chapter also provides an overview of the components used in POF - optical converter, switch with optical interfaces, optical network card, etc. In the practical part is created the design of home network for two-storey family house. The proposal was implemented by CableProject CAD software, first using copper cabling (UTP category 5e) and then using polymer fibers. Finally, both proposals are compared with each other. It has been made detailed financial analysis, compared performance of instalation and methods of cable instalallation. The practical part is also dedicated to measuring the parameters of POF networks, the impact of the attenuation loss, explores methods of joining glass and polymer fibers and is engaged in IPTV transmission simulation in real conditions.
Transmission parameters of optical access networks
Ježek, Jaroslav ; Kapoun, Vladimír (referee) ; Havelka, Dušan (advisor)
The essence of this thesis is the cognition of theoretical basis for measuring on optical fibres, elements and optical wireway as well. This work describes the methods of measuring and detection of parameters of these networks. The gained knowledge is followed by its application on two laboratory tasks. The first task is focused on usage of method of embedded loss for measuring of attenuation of fibre and followed by usage of the method OTDR for localization of defect. The second task is focused on measuring of attenuation on passive optical element using only the method of embedded losses. The laboratory tasks were described and respective conclusion and findings were drawed from each other.
Effect of optical connectors quality on transmission
Bernkopf, Miroslav ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with optic fiber connectors and their influence on transmissions realized via fiber optics. Optical fibers and lightguides play the key role in telecommunications because of constant demands of higher bandwidth and data rates. Original metalic wires do not meet market requirements and so the fiber optics are more and more being used. There are various types of fibers and there are also many ways of connections. This work deals with demountable way of connection – optical connectors, which have the biggest influence on a total attenuation and route length. Connector has to meet various requirements such as cleannes, quality, mechanical construction and ferrule polishing.
Manufacturing of connector
Kočka, Jiří ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a concept of the production technology of the connector. It is made of CuSn6 bronze plate of width 0,25 mm, production batch of 1 200 000 pieces per year. There was performed a recherche based on the topic. Out of available technologies for the production were chosen cutting and forming in follow die. For the cutting of the bronze plate was chosen high-speed press machine Bruderer 18 with nominal pressing force of 180 kN made by E. BRUDERER Maschinenfabrik AG. The production costs per one piece were evaluated in the economic analysis including manufacturer profit and there was defined break-even point which occurs after production of 876 282 pieces.
