Dokoupilová, Barbora ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Hana (referee)
This Bachelor thesis is focused on an accounting policy of the Samsung Electronics Czech and Slovak, s.r.o., company. Especially, connections between accounting methods and financial analysis of the company are studied. The aim of the thesis is to verify the reflection of accounting policy in resulting values of financial analysis. The work includes two theoretical parts; the first one describes the current state of the art of the company's accounting policy, and the second one presents methods used in the enumeration of financial analysis. Afterwards, described procedures are applied in the following practical part where the analysis of specific accounting methods and the financial analysis calculation of the aforementioned company are proceed. The results are compared with company's five major competitors.

Methods and possibilities of operation analysis use in logistics
ERHART, Jan
Main purpose of this thesis is finding the possibilities of operation analysis methods{\crq} use in logistics, proposition of specific situation{\crq}s optimal solution in specific company, confrontation of the above with reality and proposition of possible improvements. The use of scientific methods during decision making should have been the reason of this thesis. The theoretical knowledge that has been gained from literature research has been verified in factual conditions at company CSAD JIHOTRANS, Inc. To gain the knowledge of the environment I used the consultations with company management, system studying based on provided data and collective service{\crq}s trading conditions. ABC analysis and MODI and VAM methods were used as a scientific approach. In the thesis I processed data given to me concerning shipments that had been registered in collection centers for each month of the year 2008. 6 possible alternatives evaluating the basic and also sub-optimal solutions came out from solved problems of methods VAM and MODI. Option I is the most suitable from the point of optimization standard {--} minimal value of special-purpose function. Option VI will be the most suitable if I proceed from the current system functioning. But option VI satisfies the optimization standard the least. Therefore I suggest shifting the original pick-ups S5 into the competence of S2 and then to place it in between the 8 regional centers that are connected by the central trucktransport.

Lot-sizing problem
Kafka, Ondřej ; Branda, Martin (advisor) ; Bejda, Přemysl (referee)
Title: Lot-sizing problem Author: Ondřej Kafka Department: Department of probability and mathematical statistics Supervisor: RNDr. Martin Branda, Ph.D. Abstract: In the present work, we define the basic concepts of lot-sizing. We introduce Wagner-Whitin's dynamic lot size problem and derive a dynamic programming algorithm for the solution. Next we look at the case of PCLSP (Profit maximizing capacitated lot size problem) problem with fixed prices and negligable setup costs and solve it using specialized linear programming algorithm. Everything we try to explain with concrete examples. In the end we verify the efficiency of those algorithms by numerical study on random data comparing the performance of programmed algorithms with the professional optimization solver Gurobi. Keywords: Lot-sizing, dynamic programming, linear programming

The principles of modelled training in tennis game

BIBLIOGRAFICAL IDENTIFICATION Title of thesis: THE PRINCIPLES OF MODELLED TRAINING IN TENNIS GAME The goal of thesis: The main goal of this diploma's thesis is to verify the occurence of most common models of stress in competitive situation and answer a scientific question - "Can a stress environment, which is already simulated in training, improve stress environment in tennis match? To fulfil the main goal a following hypothesis was set up - H: During training preparation tennis coaches are more engaged in modelling of technical aspect of game situation than a modelling of psychosocial stress of tennis game. Method: This diploma's thesis as a main method of research uses the statistic explorative method of research whose main component is questionning on the anonymus way (29 questions) among coaches. Nonstandard questionary was set up on the base of expert leading of Professor PhDr. Václav Hošek, DrSc., literature retrieval, tutions with an specialist in area of tennis PhDr. Jiří Šlédr and natural experiences of author. Results: Set up hypothesis was verified - During training preparation tennis coaches are more engaged in modelling of technical aspect of game situation of specific situation than a modelling of psychosocial stress of tennis game. Keywords: Modelled training, Stress, Oppress, Psychics,...

Assessment of interpretation performance by different groups of users
Nekula, Libor ; Čeňková, Ivana (referee) ; Rejšková, Jana (advisor)
The objective of this theoretical-empirical thesis is to investigate the assessment of interpretation performances by various groups of recipients. In the theoretical part, we provide an overview of the research results achieved up-to-date by theoreticians such as Hildegund Bühler, Ingrid Kurz, Andrzej Kopczynski, Peter Moser, Barbara Moser-Mercer, Daniel Gile, Franz Pöchhacker etc. The research results suggest that users' expectations can differ depending on their experience, education and/or professional background. This fact prompted us to test the validity of this assumption by having interpreters' performances assessed by various groups of users, the hypothesis being that different groups of users are likely to assess performance differently. To verify the hypothesis, we recorded three interpreters, who consecutively interpreted an eight minute speech from English into Czech, and asked the three groups of users (interpreters, lawyers and regular users of interpreting services - employees of multinational companies) to rate the performance in questionnaires designed for the purpose of this experiment. Subjects were asked to evaluate different criteria. Having processed the data collected in the questionnaires, we found that the differences were of statistical relevance in two categories only -...

Belan, Vladimír ; Kašparová, Eva (advisor) ; Valenta, Jiří (referee)
Impulse to write master's thesis was effort to use knowledge from book "7 habits of highly effective people" by Stephen Covey in practice in company Green Ways. Experiment was chosen as method of research. The goal of master's thesis was verifying hypothesis that certain volume of (non)work activities should lead to better work results in concrete amount. Experimental stimulus as (non)work activities influenced experimental group (10 people from company Green Ways) but did not infulenced control group (another 10 people from company Green Ways). Research lasted from the 2nd September till 3rd November 2013. As conclusion it was realised that hypothesis was not confirmed. This certain volume of activities did not lead to supposed work results (quantitative results). As people from experimental group are concerned, side effect of research for them were different findings from (non)work topics (qualitative results of survey).

Persuasive techniques in lifestyle magazines and their effect on lifestyle-forming : content analysis of Spy magazine
Jeřábek, David ; Klabíková Rábová, Tereza (referee) ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "Persuasive techniques in lifestyle magazines and their effect on lifestyle-forming : content analysis of Spy magazines" generally deals with media effects on audiences. It introduces the historic development of perspectives on mass media and mass communication and the effects of media and their research. In particular it focuses on the effects of the so-called lifestyle media on the lifestyle and identity of mainly younger consumers of media products. It specifically evaluates the way in which such media present potentially harmful content. It describes typical persuasive techniques used by media in advertising, political campaigning and other types of content. It introduces main outlooks on the topics of lifestyle and identity from media and sociological perspectives. It describes the most significant methods of media content research, namely, qualitative and quantitative content analysis from the historic and methodological point of view. Using a combination of these two techniques it attempts to verify the research hypothesis predicting that media utilize persuasive techniques to present attitudes and opinions which are not immediately obvious and subsequently manipulate audiences into assuming particular patterns of behavior and thinking.
