Possibilities in vaccination of dogs and cats
Čejková, Štěpánka ; Berka, Pavel (advisor) ; Daniel, Daniel (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the vaccination problems of domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris) and domestic cat (Felis silvestris catus). The first part describes the basic information about the immune system to better understand formation of protection against infectious diseases in the form of memory cells, the principle of vaccination. Attention is also paid to the conditions to achieve the desired result of vaccination, including knowledge of the causative agent, the right technology of making vaccine, appropriate vaccination schedule, a suitable method of vaccine application and immunocompetent healthy individual, which will be able to react correctly to application of the vaccine. In veterinary medicine there are most commonly used vaccines with weakened or killed pathogens. Application is carried out mainly in the subcutaneous tissue or muscle, but the latest studies have shown significant benefit of application to the nasal cavity in connection with diseases affecting the respiratory tract. The primary vaccination of dogs and cats begins at their age of 8 to 12 weeks. It is necessary to carry out at least one revaccination at the age of 3 to 4 weeks after the primary vaccination. This revaccination serves as a stimulation of memory cells. In case of negative epidemiological situation two or even three applications can be made. Notwithstanding the fact that the memory cells in the body of an individual persist for a long time, yearly booster vaccination is still recommended for the majority of diseases. In the case of rabies, for some vaccines this revaccination is implemented once every three years. In the Czech Republic only the vaccination of dogs against rabies is required by law. Other diseases can be vaccinated optionally, depending on the disease situation, the use of dogs (hunting dogs, service etc.), and the possibility of travelling with a pet abroad. In connection with the vaccination, the basic information about infectious diseases of vaccinated dogs and cats are listed in this bachelor thesis. As a part of this thesis a survey to find out awareness of dogs and cats´owners was carried out about the possibiliy of vaccination (and its use). These results are presented in graphs and provided in an appendix at the end of this bachelor thesis.

Bayesian classification of digital images by web application
Talich, M. ; Böhm, O. ; Soukup, Lubomír
The contribution introduces web application for image classification that has been developed at the Research Institute of Geodesy, Topography and Cartography in the framework of grant project InGeoCalc (supported by Ministry of education of the Czech Republic). The web application is aimed to display, examine and classify digital image data. The data are expected to be obtained from Internet by means of Web Map Services (WMS) or from other sources (possibly non-registered). Image data from different sources can be combined and presented as composition of layers (coverage) with adjustable degrees of transparency. After gathering the data, Bayesian (supervised) classification is applied to distinguish separate regions in the image. User can choose between several classification methods and adjust pertinent parameters. Furthermore, several subsequent basic analytical tools are offered, namely computation of distances, areas or perimeters related to the classified regions, simple statistical summaries about classification results (e.g. distribution of classes, percentage of non-classified regions, etc.). The classification results and registration parameters can be saved for further use. The web application is based on common Internet standards (HTML, Javascript, SVG). The only requirement for running the application is an up-to-date Internet browser supporting SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics). Typical usage of the web application can involve land cover mapping based on satellite or aerial images. The application is available free of charge for any Internet user.

Influence of bioeffector RhizoVital on the soil phosphorus availability and P uptake by maize
Beneš, Zdeněk ; Kulhánek, Martin (advisor) ; Černý, Jindřich (referee)
Phosphorus is likely to become, in the near future, a critical element in plant nutrition. The main reasons are primarily limited resources of P for fertilizer production. Therefore, it is necessary to look for a long term solution. One option is to use P -containing waste, such as sewage sludge, digestate or ashes. Another option arises from the fact that approximately 90 % of P in soil is found in non-bioavailable forms. Therefore, mobilization of these forms could secure enough P for plat growth in the long term horizon. So-called bioeffectors are developed for this purpose; to promote the accessibility of nutrients for plants. It is evident, however, that the application of bioeffectors alone could lead to a gradual outflow of the most P from the soil. Therefore the most favourable appears application of bioeffectors in combination with various phosphatic fertilizers or wastes. Especially rock phosphates, ash and digestate contain significant amounts of non-bioavailable P-forms. That implies that the joint application of these fertilizers and bioeffectors should lead to more efficient utilization of P, and thus reduce the input of fertilizers into the soil. The aim was to verify influence of a combination of 3 bioeffectors (effective microorganisms: Bacillus amyloliquefaciens, strains FZB42 and FZB45, and the combination of FZB42 strain with Paenibacillus mucilaginosus strain JX - 1) in combination with rock phosphate, sewage sludge, torrefied sewage sludge, separated digestate, straw and wood ash on increase of aboveground biomass of maize and on the content and uptake of phosphorus and other selected nutrients. The evaluated alternatives of fertilization regardless of applied bioeffectors suggest that the greatest effect on the yield of above-ground biomass showed sewage sludge, wood ashes, and especially straw ashes. These fertilizers significantly increased the content and uptake of S as well. In other monitored parameters it was not possible to clearly identify the tendencies. The application of bioeffectors alone or in combination with the above mentioned materials did not bring the positive effect on the monitored parameters. On the contrary, the combination of Paenibacillus strains FZB42 mucilaginosus showed in many cases significantly negative impact.

Investigation of nano zero-valent iron and zinc interactions with plants in the hydroponics
Švengrová, Denisa ; Vítková, Martina (advisor) ; Petr, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of nanoscale Zero-Valent Iron (nZVI) application for the chemically assisted phytostabilization of zinc (Zn) in order to decrease mobility of this element in the environment. The interactions of nZVI and Zn have been investigated during the experiments using tomato plants (Lycopersicon esculentum L.), which were grown in a hydroponic solution. Furthermore, the effects of the interactions on the uptake of water, macronutrients and iron (Fe) have been assessed. The use of nZVI proved to be an effective solution for the stabilization of lower concentrations of Zn (100 micromol) in the root system or for purposes of the assisted phytoremediation. However, the impact of nZVI was not significant high concentrations of Zn (500 micromol). During the application of Zn at increased concentrations a decrease in water uptake has been observed, which can limit the macronutrient uptake. It is necessary to pay attention to further research and study the effects of the nanoparticles application and their interactions in the environment.

Application of the Fibonacci sequence in asset markets
Míšek, Tomáš ; Soukup, Alexandr (advisor) ; Šrédl, Karel (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of using the Fibonacci sequence in asset markets. First, it introduces the issue of asset market and describes the individual assets. Then it explains, twhat it is the Fibonacci sequence and what mechanisms cause that it can be applied to conduct market assets. Describes the various technical analysis tools, which using this sequence. In the next section, the reader is familiar with various business strategies that utilize the tools and indicators based on this principle. As a brief description and as an example of using this strategy in the trading platform MetaTrader5. Finally, it applied Fibonacci tool to chart the development of prices of selected market for the year 2015 for the purpose of verifying that the market reacted to the level of the Fibonacci sequence. The author's subsequent assessment recommended to carry out more detailed statistical examination. Methods based on the Fibonacci sequence, when used properly, increases the chances of profitable trading. They are the accurate method of exploring capital markets. Above that, it will be able to predict future results and determine future trends of macroeconomic aggregates. However, it is necessary to observe the principle of risk management.
