Agreements on the protection of investments between the EU and China
Zamrazil, Jakub ; Balaš, Vladimír (advisor) ; Šturma, Pavel (referee)
The purpose of my thesis is to analyse Bilateral Investment Treaties between the EU and China. The question that passes through the entire work is whether there is indeed a homogeneous relationship in FDI between the EU and China as a whole, or whether the practice is rather different relationship with the EU members with some common and different elements. I have chosen the theme of this thesis because I am interested in investment relations, and China is a very attractive destination for the investment, that has from a European point of view its specific features. The thesis is composed of six chapters. In the chapter one I decided to take historical approach by researching the needs and motivations that inspired and influenced the emergence of the BIT program between the EU and China. From a historical approach to the development of FDI in China is obvious that the policy of FDI in China follows the national interests of China. From the beginning FDI was an unwanted tool for China that did not correspond with national policy, however it provided the necessary capital. Over time, China has changed its approach from receiving investment indiscriminately into the consistent direction of flow of FDI into desired sectors. The second chapter provides an analytical view of the current legal framework...

Spanish Real Estate Market Analysis
Melnikova, Yulia ; Procházka, Petr (advisor) ; Václav, Václav (referee)
At the beginning of 2000-ies the real estate market of residential property in Spain considered to be one the most popular and fast-growing real estate market in Europe, which attracted a great number of investment into the country and thus contributed greatly to the development of the national economy of Spain. However, because of the economic crisis in the country, residential real estate market collapsed significantly. At the present time, the Spanish real estate market of residential property market is recovering from the recession to the pre-crisis level as the prices for residential real estate property has started increasing due to the high demand for it. All this factors positively affect the national economy of Spain. In order to obtain the major aim of the thesis, it is crucial to conduct a retrospective overview of the residential real estate market of Spain before the crisis and provide a bene-ficial real estate market analysis of the current situation on the market of residential proper-ty.

The purpose and the function of Archives and Records Service in the state administration. The effect of documents storage on the national economy.
Belzová, Aneta ; Kadlecová, Eva (advisor) ; Civínová, Denisa (referee)
This thesis is about Record Services in the state administration. In the theoretical part I mention the legislation relating with the Archive and Record Services. Then there are described various phases of the cycle of documents. In this thesis are presented possible forms of Record Services and also determined which entities are obliged to keep Record Services and if so, in what form. In the theoretical part I also mention the National Archive and National Digital Archive. In the practical part is the graphical view of the evolution of the state expenditures on the National Archive. Then there is a short cross-section of the amendments of Act no. 499/2004 Coll., about Archiving and Record Services and amending certain laws and there are listed the most frequent mistakes which are made in the performance of Record Services. In the last part of this thesis are illustrated the graphs, that shows, how many files annually establish some state authorities and explained what could have caused potential increase or decrease.

Analysis and modeling of the structure and development of mixed forest stands in the Sudety mountains
Vacek, Zdeněk ; Remeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Hlásny, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis deals with analysis and modeling of the structure and development of selected mixed forests in protected areas of the Sudeten system, especially in the Giant Mountains national parks, Protected Landscape Area Broumovsko and Orlické Mountains, but also in other areas of the Czech Republic. This study is composed of a set of six published manuscripts that are covering three thematic ranges: structure of forest stands, regeneration of forest stands and forest modeling. The main objective of this work was to evaluate a vertical, horizontal and species structure, total diversity and development of mixed forest stands in central Sudetes. The partial aim was to analyse production parameters of forest stands, effect of microrelief and game on natural regeneration and assessment of dead wood in the area of interest. Further, the objective of the study was to develop explicit and non-explicit crown width and slenderness quotient models for Norway spruce (Picea abies L.) and European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) and to predict the development of mixed forest ecosystem using growth simulations and to evaluate parameters and interactions among stand structure, climatic factors and natural regeneration, using especially analysis of variance, correlation matrix, spatial statistic and multivariate analysis. For this purpose a system of permanent research plots was used, which are regularly monitored since 1980 or were newly established. Using mapping technology FieldMap, selected parameters were measured for tree layer, natural regeneration individuals and dead wood. The results showed that the spatial distribution of beech stands in optimum stadium changes with the altitude from the regular pattern through random to aggregated spatial pattern of beech forests near the timberline. The spatial distribution of natural regeneration is highly aggregated, distribution of stumps is random and horizontal structure of the centroids of the crowns is always more regularly distributed than stems due to crown plasticity. Browsing damage of the leading shoot by game is an important limiting factor for height growth of natural regeneration, especially for silver fir (Abies alba Mill.), rowan (Sorbus aucuparia L.) and sycamore maple (Acer pseudoplatanus L.). The study of the influence of microrelief on the growth of beech regeneration showed that the highest average height was found on slope and pits, while the lowest on the mounds. From the effect of climatic factors on the radial growth of trees, it was found that temperature is a limiting factor for growth in mountain areas, respectively that positive effect of temperature decreases with decreasing altitude and conversely the influence of precipitation increases. Finally, spatially explicit models (as opposed to non-explicit) described a larger part of the crown width variations for spruce and beech and of the slenderness quotient for spruce. The largest contribution to the models after breast diameter was dominant height.

Proposal of Procedures for the Transformation of Accounting Data to the Tax Base in Accordance with the CCCTB
Kuchařová, Ivana ; Valder, Antonín (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
Globalisation as well as on-going integration make the authorities accelerate their harmonisation and approximation efforts not only in the field of accounting and book-keeping -- to secure harmonised interpreting of books -- but also in respect of international business entities' corporate tax. My dissertation describes the efforts of the European Commission towards full harmonisation of the process of determining the corporate tax base in respect of business entities formed as supranational groups of businesses registered in various EU member states or in combination of members from the EU and the third countries. The pending harmonisation should prevent the said entities from aggressive tax "optimisation" in the course of which they transfer their tax base to countries with the lowest income tax and abuse gaps and incomprehensiveness of tax regulation in individual EU member states. Such practice may, in some cases, result in double non-taxation thus further reducing the income of EU member states' already suffering public budgets. The EU has recognized the need to implement measures to stop this practice and will take action. One of the measures that should lead to an improvement in tax collection is the fastest introduction of a common consolidated tax base for corporate income (Common Consolidated Corporate Tax Base). The genesis, structure and characterization of CCCTB has become a crucial part of the theoretical background research. Other issues that arise in connection with the introduction of the common consolidated tax base and which are addressed in this work are as follows - what similarities and differences are there between the European and national rules on accounting and taxes, which procedures will be used for a transformation of the initial accounting data presented in accordance with the national legislation to the European tax base and what impact will have these transformation processes on the final amount of the tax base.

ICT support for regional development
Očenášek, Vladimír ; Havlíček, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Vostrovský, Václav (referee)
There are many of different rankings in the world, which relate to information and communications technology. For example, United Nations e-Government survey evaluates expansion of e-government administration in 193 countries in the world every two years and publishes worldwide ranking of EGDI (e-government development index). Since 2003 web portals of the capitals of the largest countries in the world are evaluated evaluated by - Digital Governance in Municipalities Worldwide (Holzer et al., 2014) every two years. This rating is organized by the "The E-Governance Institute" which is part of Rutgers University Newark. Prague (15 in) was included for the first time in 2007. Prague was ranked in excellent 2nd place in 2009, in the period 2011 - 2012 was in 4th place and in the period 2013 - 2014, Prague ranked 10th. Our methods of evaluation are based on methods of Digital Governance in Municipalities Worldwide, which is focused on regional web portals. We evaluated 6 regional web portals using 40 parameters in the area privacy, usability, content, services, citizen and social engagement. For instance, we evaluated if web portal provides: online publications, multilingual access, GIS, calendar of events, searchable database of articles, accommodation reservation etc. For evaluation of regional web portals, we chose two regional touristic headquarters (Centrála cestovního ruchu -- Jižní Morava (www.ccrjm.cz), Jihočeská centrála cestovního ruchu www.jccr.cz)), one regional touristic web (Posázaví - vítejte v turistickém regionu kolem řeky Sázavy (www.posazavi.com)), two Austrian web portals, which represents cross-border cooperation between Austria and Czech republic (Urlaub am Bauerhof -- dovolená na selském statku (www.agroturistika-v-rakousku.cz), Rakousko -- přijeďte a ožijete (www.austria.info/cz)) and official touristic web portal of Switzerland (Officielle Website von Schweiz Tourismus (www.mojesvycarsko.com)). As it turned out during our model usage, which took into account five important areas, level of regional web portals significantly differ. Some criteria are fulfilled across the all sites, but some of them are partly or completely missing. Individual solutions therefore often prefer different criteria, thus providing different perspectives on the region and its issues. If all criteria were met, the informational content and thus even usefulness of the individual portals would rise. Theoretically, this would lead to a "content compatibility" of individual solutions, which would ultimately bring profit to users and consequently the visitors of their respective regions.

Hereditary and non-hereditary factors affecting starch content in potato tubers
Malá, Lucie ; Sedláková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Dvořák, Petr (referee)
This literature review relates to the starch which is presented in potato tubers, and hereditary and non-hereditary factors that influence content of the starch. At the beginning of the work, the attention is paid to the potatoes itself, especially their general characteristics. It should also mention the content of substances in tubers and their impact on human health. Further, the work is focused on the main thema, especialy starch present in potato tubers. Starch has considerable importance for the entire national economy, currently used not only in the starch industry, but it is more frequently used in other industries, for example paper or textile industry. Starch is composed from two important polysaccharides, amylose and amylopectin which are described in details. There are factors, that may influence starch content in potato tubers, like genetic and environmental factors. The simplest genetic factor that can influence the content of starch in potato tubers is crossing. The biosynthesis of starch is very important, which depends on several enzymes that initiate the metabolic pathway. It is pyrophosphorylase, starch synthase (SS), enzymes branched starch (SBEs) and enzymes unbranched starch (DBES). Starch synthase plays an important role here, in particular her isoform GBSS (granule bound starch synthase), which synthesizes amylose. Amylopectin is synthesized by a complex of enzymes SSI, SSII, SSIII, SSIV. The manipulation of single sugar genes metabolism can affect the formation and composition of starch in any variety of potatoes. This manipulation is called transgenesis and her goal is the creation of new potato genotypes. We can produce potato starch with high amylose by inhibiting enzymes SBE A and SBE B. A starch with a high amount of amylose is highy asked from the industry, because starch has unique functional properties. It should be mentioned DNA markers that has connection with the cultivation of potatoes and offers new opportunities for selecting potatoes genotypes. With DNA markers is linked MAS analysis and the associated method PCR polymerase chain reaction method. Another important method is QTL method. The environmental factors which influence the starch content of potatoes, which are mentioned in this work, are drought, light, cold. It should also be noted that even postharvest stress has a negative effect on starch content in potato tubers. Environmental stress affects and changes the yield of the starch.

Monetary policy of Czech National Bank
Orlovskij, Alexandr ; Kopecká, Lenka (advisor) ; Svoboda, Roman (referee)
The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the monetary policy of Czech National Bank. Thesis is also addressing on the issue of low acceptance of euro in Czech Republic. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical part is focused on the essential characteristic of central banks, as well as the functions and objectives of the monetary policy of the Czech National Bank and monetary tools by which the central bank achieve stability and balance in the money market and other financial assets. In addition, it defines the most common forms of inflation and deflation, along with impacts on residents and business companies. In the end of theoretical part, thesis characterizes the Maastricht criteria, which Czech Republic must fulfill to accept the common currency. The practical part is devoted to the development of monetary tools, their impact on the economy and the acceptance of the euro in the Czech Republic. It also outlines the development of the Maastricht criteria by Czech Republic. Furthermore the work is focused on comparison of the Slovak economy before and after the introduction of the euro. Also how did Slovak economy developed after the acceptance of the euro. In order to investigate public opinion, was created an anonymous questionnaire, which was distributed in electronic form and took place in the second week of February 2016. The subject of a research is an analysis of the preparedness of Czech citizens to adopt the common currency. In order to view the results of this survey there have been created a chart and commentary on the issue.
