The theory of communication with foreigners in nursing process

Bachelor thesis disserts on basic conceptions connected with communication in a plain field, related to communication with foreigners, multicultural themes and conceptions applicable to a labour. This thesis also deals with specifics of a nursing care for mothers - foreigners and there is a conceptual model of Madeleine Leininger mentioned there. There is information about Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Ukrainian and Nigerian culture, religion and characteristics of those national minorities included in this thesis. Integral part of Bachelor thesis is qualitative research solution, focused on communication, language skills and understanding of the problem and approach to the clients - foreigners with regard to nursing care during the labour. The examinated are mothers - foreigners, which gave births in the maternity ward of Podripska hospital in Roudnice n. L.

Detection of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producers in community and in a hospital

The incidence of bacteria resistant to available antibiotics has become an important problem. Statistics show the rising number of resistant bacteria worldwide. Bacteria have ability to be resistant naturally or they develop from point mutation of genes and relay it between species or kinds. The study was made because of significance and relevance of this problem. In theoretical part the study is focused on the functional parts of bacterial cell, which participate in mechanisms of resistance. Beta - lactam antibiotics are described in more detail. The research took place in Hospital České Budějovice, a. s. during 2013. The study aimed to determine the frequency of ESBL positive producers in this hospital and to compare with frequency in community, and to identify units with highest frequency of ESBL producers. Pathogens are isolated from clinical material, being delivered to bacteriology lab in Hospital České Budějovice, a. s. Resistant samples were examined with double disc synergy test (DDST) and quantitative method based on principle of minimal inhibition concentration in combination with chromogenic agar. The prevalence rate of ESBL producers is average to low in Hospital České Budějovice, a. s. During 2013, 12, 347 isolates were identified, ESBL production was identified in 226 isolates. Escherichia coli (183 isolates), Klebsiella pneumoniae (16 isolates), and Enterobacter cloacae (15 isolates) were the most prevalent species. The number of ESBL producers was lower compared to 2012, 2011, and 2010.

Analysis of Financing Research and Development in the Czech Republic

The topic of this bachelor Thesis is an Analysis of Financing Research and Development in the Czech Republic. Research and Development (R&D) plays an important role in improving the competitive ability of the Czech Republic, for it constitutes a source for increasing productivity, economic growth and employment. The results of R&D lead to creation of new products and services, which in return increases the quality of life of the Czech citizens. This bachelor thesis focuses on analysis of financing R&D in the Czech Republic. The objective is to find out who finances R&D in the Czech Republic, where do these funds go to, and what they are used on. This thesis also focuses on R&D employees and R&D departments in which they work. The bachelor thesis is concluded by comparison between the R&D data for Czech Republic and other countries form the Europian Union.

Logistic processes of e-shop

Master's Thesis focuses on logistic processes of e-shops. This branch is significantly developing and many sole traders and Small and Medium Enterprises join it. Due to strong competition it is necessary to find possibilities, how to be different from other e-shops. Such competition advantage can be reached with higher level of logistic services. Types of logistic chains that can be used in electronic commerce are defined in Thesis. Work of particular members of chain is described as well. Thesis also deals with evolution of e-commerce and various kinds of online retailers. I focused in great detail on function of e-shop that works according to pull-principle. Processes of this e-shop was compared with processes of e-shop that sell. goods from its stocks. The aim of this comparison was to find competition advantage that can be transfered to e-shop working without stocks. The last passage of Thesis deals with possibility of outsourcing that can make better services of e-shops.

The use of social and health services for people with multiple sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis cerebrospinal is a chronic inflammatory disease of the central nervous system which leads to demyelination of nerve fibres or to their direct loss. Multiple sclerosis is the most common neurological cause of chronic disability in young adults. There is no known effective cure for this disease. It is only possible to reduce the progression rate of the disease by recently available medication and their combinations. Social and health services bring significant benefit to life of people with multiple sclerosis. Health services are important not only for medical treatment but also for support because they try to improve or preserve physical condition and affect also mental condition. Social services become more important as the disease progresses when people are no longer able to cope with routine everyday activities. The objective of my thesis was to suggest suitable health and social services for people with multiple sclerosis. Furthermore, to find out which of these services are used by ill people. The hypothesis of the thesis was: Some types of social services for people with multiple sclerosis are not quantitatively provided unlike health services. In my thesis I used quantitative research, interviewing and the questionnaire method. Questionnaires were filled in by adults with multiple sclerosis in selected organisations {\clqq}Roska`` in the Czech republic. During the research I discovered problems with insufficient awareness of social services and not using contributions and allowances for social services. On the contrary, the results of the research imply that health services are being used. I assume that the hypothesis was confirmed. I find the contribution of the thesis in the fact that I suggested recommendations for suitable health and social services for people with multiple sclerosis. After completion of local contacts, this suggestion could be used as an informative brochure which would be available to people with multiple sclerosis.

Optimization of staffing services and technical equipment of the fire rescue Corps of the undertaking of the South Bohemian airport a.s. České Budějovice

Development of new aircraft and the increasing number of passengers goes logically hand-in-hand with the improvement of airport facilities and equipment of airport fire departments so passengers and all airport staff are as safe as possible. The submitted diploma thesis deals with the equipment of the fire department of Jihočeské letiště České Budějovice a.s. and staffing for the service at this airport. Its goals are, first, to assess the current level of this equipment and, second, to propose optimization of this equipment. The Airport in Planá u Českých Budějovic is one of a few airports disposing of own fire department. Apart from České Budějovice, there are fire departments at the airports in Brno, Karlovy Vary, Ostrava, Pardubice and Praha Ruzyně. Airports in terms of general issues and their technical equipment are dealt with, and public international airports and public domestic/non-public international airports in the Czech Republic are listed in the theoretical part of the thesis. History of airport fire departments is examined, too. The analysis of the Aviation Regulation L14 is an important area in the theoretical part. Further, individual selected airports in the Czech Republic, especially their history and current characteristics are described and air accidents of both Czech and foreign machines in the territory of the Czech Republic between 2008 and 2012 are mentioned in the theoretical part of the thesis. A hypothesis has been defined for the diploma thesis: "The current equipment of the fire department and staffing for the service is sufficient for the airport RFFS Category 4C". In order to confirm or disprove this hypothesis, the equipment of the airport in České Budějovice was compared in terms of equipment of other selected airports in the Czech Republic and evaluated on the basis of studying the regulations, Aviation Regulation L14 in particular, in the practical part of the thesis. Detailed information on equipment of these airports comprises a separate chapter in the practical part and sufficiency of this equipment discussed is assessed on the basis of comparison with the aviation regulations. As I failed to get the needed information on the equipment of the fire department at the airport in Pardubice and as the Václav Havel Airport in Prague is not comparable as for the equipment, size, arrival and departure rate etc., the airport in Brno, Karlovy Vary and Ostrava were selected for the final comparison of assessment of the level of the technical means and staffing at the airport in České Budějovice. Despite the hypothesis "The current equipment of the fire department and staffing of the service is sufficient for the airport Category 4C" has been confirmed, optimization of the equipment of the fire department at the airport in České Budějovice has been proposed on the basis of the results of this thesis in order to provide sufficient preparedness of the airport for extraordinary events at the airport and in its surrounding and the main emphasis is put on saving human lives mainly. The optimization was carried out using the methods of operation analysis while taking the current equipment of the Airport in České Budějovice into account. When selecting new vehicles for purchase, the price of a vehicle was not the only criterion but also its equipment. The outcome of the optimization is a recommendation to purchase a modern vehicle fully equipped and it is possible to choose one of the three vehicles placed first to third in the analysis. These are the vehicles Panther HRET 6x6 KHA62, Panther 6x6 CA5 ECE and Mercedes - Benz Actross 3360 A42 6x6. To conclude, confirmation of the above-mentioned hypothesis is stated and particular vehicles recommended to be purchased by the South-Bohemian airport and its fire fighters are listed.

In the US 2000 Census, the number of Indian-Americans reached 1,678,765 people. It is the second largest Indian diaspora in the world preceded only by that in Myanmar, which comes near to three million.1 In January 2008, the Indian-American community gained a very important victory in politics through the appointment of Bobby Jindal as the Governor of Louisiana.2 Although his political views and decisions have been a source of disappointment and have provoked serious criticism, he is nonetheless the first Indian-American to reach higher echelons of power. The American cultural sphere has also felt 'the Indian touch'. In 2000 Jhumpa Lahiri, a young Indian female writer, was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for her collection of short stories. Aishwarya Rai has successfully avoided being remembered only as the 1994 Miss World and has appeared in numerous Bollywood and Hollywood productions. In 2003 she was the first Indian actress to be a member of the Cannes Film Festival jury. Her male colleagues have yet to wait to be thus honoured. There are three basic areas of violence against women: 1. the area of a humanitarian law 2. trafficking in women 3. discrimination against women The humanitarian law is connected with a status of women in an army conflict. An army conflict does not necessary need to take place in several countries. There is also a possibility of a national conflict. The basic international documents in this field are Geneva Conventions and Protocols to them. Presently almost all the states in the world are contract parties of these Conventions. In 2002 The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court entered into force. International Criminal Court is the is the first permanent, treaty based, international criminal court established to help end impunity for the perpetrators of the most serious crimes of concern to the international community. The aim of this thesis is to search if drawings and paintings can become a bridge between non verbal and verbal communication and how can we use so called art-philetic approach for this intention. What can drawings or paintings say about a child and how can we communicate through the drawings or paintings, that's the main object of this work. We will introduce the art therapy mainly because the art-philetic has the origin in this discipline. Than we will concentrate on the art-philetic, we will describe its potenciality as a chance for communication with a child that is handicaped in the verbal speech. Realization of a CSP for tokens with PKCS#15 interface

The thesis is concerned with a design of a CSP (Cryptographic Service Provider) module for the CryptoAP I (subsystem of the Microsoft Windows operating syslem) that can be usedfor afamily oj hardware tokens withjollowing characteristics: a) they meet the requirements on tokens arisingfrom the PKCS#15 standard b) they communicate via the PCISC interface c) they conform to the ISOIIEC 7816-4, 8 and 9 standards The thesis contains analysis of the demands on CSP and card applications which influence the interoperability oj tokens, i.e. the ability of applications to work with tokens by different manufacturers without the need of rewriting the software.
