The Investment Instruments and Investment in the Czech Republic
Strašík, Jan ; Ulrich, Milan (advisor) ; Pfeiferová, Daniela (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the characteristics of the financial market in the Czech Republic. It is mainly focused on investment products that citizens of the Czech Republic can normally use, but also on terms such as risk, liquidity and profit. The goal of this work is to obtain information on the development of three products - retirement savings, building savings and collective investment - by using the method of analysis of information from public available resources dealing with the financial market. This information is then compared with use of the method of comparison and analysis of the acquired data. The aim of the thesis is also to determine how these products are developed in the Czech Republic and the attitude of people towards these products. The theoretical part is based on knowledge drawn from specialist literature which deals with financial markets.

Maděrová, Vendula ; Prášilová, Marie (advisor) ; Macháček, Otakar (referee)
This Bachelor thesis deals with an analysis of tourism in the Bohemian Paradise based on selected indicators. Theoretical basis of the thesis provide the information about the definition, subjects and typology of tourism. Furthemore, the services of tourism and the relationship between tourism and national economy and regional development are characterized here. Subsequently, there is a closer introduction of a touristic region Bohemian Paradise and selected sights (ruins of the castle Trosky, the watchtower Kozákov and the Museum Škoda Auto). The practical part of the work, via the analysis of time series, deals with the number of guests in collective accommodation establishments, number of nights spent in these establishments in 2005-2014 and the assessment of prognosis of the future development until 2018. Furthemore, this part is dedicated to the analysis of the attendance of four selected touristic attractions in 2008-2015. Based on these results, at the end of the thesis there are presented the most important factors influencing the development of tourism in the Bohemian Paradise together with proposals and recommendation for improving the current situation.

Economic analysis of selected towns and villages
Hanušová, Lucie ; Homolka, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Aneta, Aneta (referee)
The thesis deals with analyssing and assessing fiscal management of two selected towns between 2011 - 2015. These autonomous regions in the east of the Czech republic, selected for fiscal management analysis, are similar in size and are situated less than 10 km from each other. These towns are called Slatiňany and Nasavrky. My work is divided into three parts - theoretical, description of the towns and analysis as well as comparison budget components. The first theoretical part focuses on secondary data collection. These data come from technical literature and introduce the idea of local government, city accounting and composition of their budgets. The following descriptions of Slatiňany and nasavrky present their past and the present. Information about both of the towns´ elected officials is given and the organizational structure of their town councils is also mentioned. The practical part aims to analyse there towns´ budget revenues and expenses based on the study of their financial statements. Budget components have been analysed and differences have been pointed out. The practical part also includes a questionnaire survey which intends to research the differences in the citizens´ satisfaction with different aspects of life as well as leadership and fiscal management between both communities - i.e. citizens of Slatiňany and Nasavrky and their suggestions for changes. These were subsequently processed, and along with the author´s suggestions, were included in the suggestions for improvement of fiscal management of both towns in the final part of this work.

Freshwater bryozoa in Úslava River at localities Starý Plzenec and Koterov
Steinerová, Michaela ; Vymazal, Jan (advisor) ; Magdalena, Magdalena (referee)
Freshwater bryozoans belong to a group of colonial invertebrates. Bryozoa in Czech translation means moss and animal. Representatives of bryozoans, are at first glance very similar to moss and plants from other species differ considerably. The main objective of this thesis is to determine the different species found in the territories Koterov and Old Plzenec, to check the ecological demands of species found, to evaluate the seasonal dynamics of occurrence bryozoans and to compare the data with the available literature sources. The monitored stretch of the river Úslava has been divided into 10 sites. Five locations were explored on the Koterov territory and on the territory of Old Plzenec another 5 locations aswell. At both locations, a total of 150 samples of these bryozoans have been collected and determined 233 zoarias. Total number of 5 species of freshwater bryozoans were founded in the observed area Koterov - Starý Plzenec: Plumatella emarginata (Allman, 1844), Plumatella fungosa (Pallas, 1768), Plumatella repens (Linné, 1758), Fredericella sultana (Blumenbach, 1779) a Paludicella articulata (Ehrenberg, 1831). Individual species were determined by a synoptical key from athors Wood and Okamura (2005) From the obtained results, there has been evaluated a seasonal dynamics of the representation of individual species during July, August and September. In addition to the seasonal dynamics, light requirements and preferences of the species and the occurences of particular species were evaluated. In the Koterov area, Plumatella emarginata has occured most widely, second common type was Plumatella fungosa. There were less abundant species of Fredericella sultana and Paludicella articulata. A type Plumatella repens was found only rarely. on the teritorry of Old Plzenec, most frequently Plumatella fungosa did appear, secondly, Plumatella emarginata. The least recorded species were Plumatella repens and Fredericella sultana. Most frequently, all the species were occiring on the top and sides of the stones. Plumatela fungosa, Plumatella emarginata and Paludicella articulata were mostly recorded on the upper and lateral sides of the stones. Types Fredericella sultana and Plumatella repens were plentiful on the upper sides of the stones. The reason for this occurrence on the upper side could be a rich food supply. On the flank, the species are probably well protected from predators. The undersides of the stones were inhabitated rarely, probably due to insufficient supply of the oxygen. My observation of Paludicella articulata being one of the shade-liking species are in line with the findings from the availiable literature . The other species were found both at shaded and sunlit sites and it cannot be percisely determined, if teh lighting conditions have major role in their development.

Sensitivity of Czech provenances of European common ash and narrow-leaved ash to invasive pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus
Kraus, Marek ; Pešková, Vítězslava (advisor) ; Čížková, Dana (referee)
This thesis deals with a survey of provenance areas and assessment of attacking Fraxinus excelsior L. and Fraxinus angustifolia by the pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. The aim of the thesis is to map the incidence of infected trees in these areas and to evaluate the sensitivity of the sites to the pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. The theoretical part deals with processing of data collected during field work on selected provenance areas Koneprusy and Veltruby. Amongst the evaluated parameters there were: trunk diameter at measuring height, tree height, and especially canopy drying caused by Hymenoscyphus fraxineus. As the outcome of the survey photographs were taken and records were collected for individual trees in the provenance areas. Each of the trees has its own unique label that has accurately defined its location to prevent potential errors in data processing. The processed data was then evaluated in NCSS 8.0 software and cluster analysis was performed in order to compare the provenances. This analysis only compares the provenances, which are located in both provenance areas. The results show that no provenance without the pathogen Hymenoscyphus fraxineus attack appeared in the provenances Koneprusy and Veltruby. Subjects in 4 ŠLP Kostelec nad Černými Lesy - Svojšice and 24 LS Czech Krumlov Chvalšiny proved to be more resistant than others. Although the increase in the tree height and the trunk thickness is the largest on those areas the defoliation rate is high. It is probable that the population of these provenances will gradually die. Due to growing abbility of some individuals located in other provenances it is obvious that habitat conditions and individual resilience are key factors.

Popularization of history at the example of Lidice and Terezin
Knotková, Kateřina ; Macků, Lucie (advisor) ; Zychová, Jana (referee)
The essence of bachelor thesis Popularization of history at the example of Lidice and Terezín is to define the methods of presentation and popularization of Lidice Memorial and Terezín Memorial. The aim of the theoretical framework is mainly to outline the topic of collective memory in it´s basic forms. The topic continues with definitions of collective memory products as are collective trauma and politics of memory. The separate chapter is dedicated to the bearers of memory among which are museums, memorials, books, movies and internet. Last part is focused on historical context. The purpose of the practical framework is to apply the theoretical base on the mentioned memorials and to analyze their activities, which are helping to popularize history. The thesis presents form and appearance of the both memorials Terezín and Lidice, their projects, education programs and also movie and book production.

Ecological state of the river Svatava
Laslop, Antonín ; Pecharová, Emilie (advisor) ; Karel, Karel (referee)
This work ecological state of the river Svatavy maps the condition of the watercourse, which rises in the Ore Mountains, south of the German Schöneck at an altitude of 710 m. N. M. The mapping was carried out in the stretch of the river from the village to near the town of Sokolov, in three sections. The first section forms part of the water flow away from the border, where the river forms the border Svatava, to the footbridge over the river, in front of the saw in the lead. The second section forms part of the watercourse from Oloví inflow in Luh nad Svatavou. The third section then from this tributary in Luh nad township Svatava to the very confluence of Ohře and Svatava Sokolov. Detailed measurements were performed on sixteen supply points Professional Plus instrument. Data collected in individual measurements, to individual extraction points, focused on the evaluation of the physico-chemical parameters of water flow. Based on these parameters was evaluated the current status of anthropogenic pollution watercourse Svatavy.

Habitat preferences of red deer and sika deer in the Doupov Mts.
Löwe, Radim ; Ježek, Miloš (advisor) ; Husinec, Václav (referee)
This master thesis is focused on GPS telemetry of red deer (Cervus elaphus) and sika deer (Cervus nippon) in the Doupov Mts., the Czech republic. Positional data from 14 red deer does and 2 sika deer does was collected during the study period of April 2013 to February 2016. The main aim was to determine habitat preferences of does with the use of the very precise vertical differentiation of vegetation created by air laser scanning of the surface (LiDAR technology). The study examines the dependence of the average maximum height of vegetation nearby positions of does on the time of year and time of day. For the evaluation was used two-way factorial analysis of variance. The highest average height of the vegetation nearby does was found during the day and the lowest during the night. Does of red deer and sika deer occurred in open habitats particularly at night, where they were actively seeking for food and more closed habitats with higher vegetation during the day, where they could hide themselves. Focusing on a period of the year, the height of vegetation in the summer period without hunting was significantly lower than in the summer period with hunting. This could be caused by starting hunting season but also it might be a response to reduced quality of available grass by aging. The two does of sika deer were treated individually. Significant differences were revealed between both does. However they both were occupying habitats with the lowest height of vegetation at night during the rut season. The gained results can now be used to supplement information about ethology of red deer and sika deer. The comprehensive knowledge of ethology can be directly used in the management of these two species, particularly for hunting efficiency and subsequent reduction of their population numbers, particularly in the case of sika deer. However these results can be directly used in forest management in active protection of forest stands against damage by wild game.

Species diversity and abundance of small terrestrial mammals in several types of forest stands in Třeboňsko study area
Dvořák, Jiří ; Kouba, Marek (advisor) ; Šťastný, Karel (referee)
The goal of this thesis was to find the diversity and abundance of small mammals in several types of forest and non-forest ecosystems in the protected landscape area of CHKO Třeboňsko. Further, the goal was to compare the collected data with analogical data from Krušné hory and finally discuss the findings in relation to the abundance of the Tengmalm´s Owl (Aegolius funereus) in both areas. Trapping by collapsible snap-traps was practiced in both of the abovementioned protected landscape areas. In case of Třeboňsko, six spring and six fall quadrants were established, while the area of one quadrant was designated to 270 m2with 40 traps laid. In contrast, the small mammals in Krušné hory were being caught on three spring and three fall quadrants. The area of one quadrant was designated to be 1 ha with each quadrant containing 121 laid traps. The result numbers of caught individuals were converted into the number of trapped individuals per 100 trap nights. The number of nesting pairs of Tengmalm´s Owl was established by regular visits of hanging nestboxes in both of the protected landscape areas. In 2014, 42 individuals were caught in Třeboňsko. The following species were recorded: yellow-neck mouse (Apodemus flavicollis), bank vole (Clethrionomys glareolus), and common vole (Microtus arvalis). For this year, the highest diversity of species was recorded in localities "pine north" and "open area south". The highest number of individuals caught (21) was in the quadrant of "pine north". The year 2015 was more colorful in case of recorded species, however the total number of caught individuals was only insignificantly higher (49 individuals in total). The following species were caught: yellow-neck mouse, wood mouse, bank vole, common shrew (Sorex araneus), and field vole (Microtus agrestis). The highest species diversity was recorded in the quadrant of "spruces north" and the highest number of caught pieces (24) was recorded in the quadrant of "pine north". In case of Krušné hory, there were 31 caught individuals in 2014 and 193 individuals in 2015. The species diversity of small mammals was equivalent as in the experimental localities in Třeboňsko, additionally, only the eurasian pygmy shrew (Sorex minutus) was recorded. The following numbers of nesting pairs of Tengmalm´s Owl were recorded through the regular visits of nesting boxes: in the year 2014, there was not a single nesting pair in the area of Třeboňsko; in the year 2015, there were 3 nesting pair. In Krušné hory, for the year 2014, there were 10 nesting pair recorded, and for the year 2015, 34 pair were recorded. Even though the food supply was similar, there was a significant difference in the numbers of nesting couples in Třeboňsko and Krušné hory. It seems probably, that the Tengmalm´s Owl simply prefers natural nesting cavities over the hanging booths in Třeboňsko.

Investment decision-making in collective investment
Toman, Lukáš ; Veselá, Kamila (advisor) ; Markéta, Markéta (referee)
The thesis is focused on using instruments of collective investment (mutual funds) for recommendations of more effective financial portfolios of ten real investors. For accomplishing goals of the thesis, firstly it is essential to define basic theoretical knowledge in terms of collective investment or more precissely mutual funds (chapter 2, Theory of collective investment). Subsequently it is necessary to set how will portfolio recommendations be formulated. It is also important to determine key investors characteristics, which are going to effect recommendations (chapter 3, Formulating portfolios). For real contribution it is vital to choose particular mutual funds, which are suitable for recommended portfolios (chapter 4, Selection of mutual funds). Pivotal part of the thesis is the chapter 5, Investment cases, which contains ten real financial portfolios. For each investor is recommended an optimal investment portfolio, which takes into account all known relevant information about the investor. For each case a comparison of current and recommended portfolio is created. The thesis is summarized by the chapter 6, Summary of investment cases, in which a discussion of aggregated results is broken into three areas: the most important investors characteristics, asset allocation of the portfolios and statistical differences between the current and the recommended portfolios.
