Grey Literature & CRIStin: Current Research Information System in Norway

CRIStine is The National documentation system for all research performance institutions there are publicly Funded in Norway. CRIStine is based on CERIF data model which is composed of IContextual metadata where Person, Organization, Output, Projects etc. are integrated. CRIStin holds the contextual metadata to the Institutional Repositories of the research performing institutions. Currently, CRIStine development is focused on tools which will serve for Organizations easier ways to access information within large data sets and to analyze that information in hopes of managing performance and making better decisions.

The Role of Scientometric Criteria in the Formation of Budget and Qualification Growth at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, the Slovak Republic

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, according to the number of its students (approx. 8,700), belongs to the group of smaller-size public universities in Slovakia. The major part of its budget income (approx. two thirds) comes from a direct state subsidy. The subsidy amount is defined by the Methodology of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic that is modified yearly. This Methodology uses various input data that are related to research activities of a university, the results of the last complex evaluation, the amount of financial resources obtained from home grant agencies and from abroad, as well as the publications of lecturers, research staff and students of a university, etc. The amount of publications as a scientometric criterion was for the first time used in 2005 and since then its proportional representation has risen substantially and it represents a strong motivational aspect for universities in Slovakia. The number of publications also plays important role in the qualification growth of P. J. Šafárik University lecturers and research staff. The specific requirements as to the categories and numbers of publications to be met by a candidate for the habilitation (associate professor status) and inauguration (full professor status) are defined by several legislative documents and are further specified by the documents approved by the Scientific Board of the University. The qualification growth of lecturers is also important for the University as it has its influence on the amount of the direct state subsidy. The presentation will focus on the importance of the publication activities as one of the scientific criterion relevant to the research and scientific activities of the University and the methods of publication registration by the Ministry and the University, their strengths and weaknesses will be discussed.

Documentation of Memrial trees in Prague

The objective of this thesis was to make a list of selected protected trees in Prague with evaluation of their current condition by dendrometric values and their subsequent comparison to values recorded in the Central Nature Protection Registry.
In 20 of the selected trees their height was measured using Nikon Laser 550A laser rangefinder, the trunk circumference in 130cm height was measured with a 30m textile measuring tape, with the exception of one Platanus hispanica specimen at Karlovo Náměstí and one Taxus baccata specimen in Franciscan gardens, where the measurements were made at the heel of the tree. Health and vitality were evaluated usind indirect methods, according to guidelines described in the book by Kolářík et coll. (2010). Along with dendrometric values, species recognition and photographic documentation was made using Canon PowerShot SX1 IS and Fujifilm FinePix JZ 100 digital cameras. The target area is located in Prague, Czech Republic. It contains following cadastral communities: Malá Strana, Nové Město, Staré Město, Smíchov, Hradčany, Liboc, Košíře. The data summary shows that the most numerous genus in the target area is Quercus (7 trees), three of which (Quercus robur) are located in Na Cibulkách urban forest, one Quercus petraea in Obora Hvězda, Quercus robur and Quercus frainetto (one of each) at Smíchov, and one Quercus robur in the Old Town. Another group are four Platanus hispanica trees, located near the Grand Priory, at Kampa, at Charles Square and in Kinský gardens. All four Fagus sylvatica trees are located in Obora Hvězda, close to a group of five Aesculus hippocastanum trees which are listed as one entity. On the slopes of Petřín, there is a Fraxinus excelsior tree belonging in Hradčany community and an Acer campestre belonging in Malá Strana community. The tallest measured protected tree is Fagus sylvatica in Obora Hvězda, the shortest is Taxus baccata near the Grand Priory. The Platanus hispanica, located near the Grand Priory as well, has the greatest measured circumference, the Taxus baccata the smallest. Most evaluated protected trees are in good health and good vitality. Measurements recorded in ÚSOP are from years 2007 to 2014.

Documentation of trees and shrubs of public garden "Hvezda" (Prague, Czech Republic)

This bachelors thesis is focused on a brief characterization of Obora Hvězda (Star Game Reserve) and determination of tree species and measuring basic dendrometric values.
The first part is a literature research summarizing knowledge about Obora Hvězda, especially history and biology. History of Obora Hvězda is described since its origin in the 16th century. Emphasis is placed on the Star Summer Palace, which is a part of it. The study also discusses the fauna and flora of the area and, finally, evaluating the state of health of selected trees. The thesis is complemented by photographs and maps.
The second part focuses on the actual determination and measuring dendrometric values. In methodology there is described each step of measurement that had to be performed to determine all of the dendrometric values and also every tool that was used. The results include tables and graphs which are explained and commented upon in the discussion. The resume includes the evaluation of the overall condition of the trees in Obora Hvězda, especially the state of health and landscaping values.
The selected trees were first determined, then their coordinates were found by GPS Garmin Dakota 20 and marked on the map. Dendrometric values like tree girth and tree height were measured using 30m tape measure Cabrio Komelon and altimeter Nikon Laser 550A, crown width and height of deployment was also measured. During the research, the health state, physiological age and landscaping value of each tree was assessed. The photo documentation was done by the LG L90 device.
In the area of interest 50 trees, which can be classified into five plant families, were measured. The occurrence of Quercus petraea, Fagus sylvatica, Acer pseudoplatanus, Fraxinus excelsior, Betula pendula and Pinus nigra was confirmed. The most abundant is Quercus petraea, which is widely planted and covers the vast majority of Obora Hvězda. The fewest is of Fraxinus excelsior and Betula pendula. B. pendula should be gradually removed, since it is an aerochoric tree. The same can be said about non-native P. nigra, which was planted in the past and currently has a negative impact on the forest development. Most of the area of the natural monument occupy deciduous forests. Physiological age of most trees was marked by number 4, which stands for adult trees that are starting to show signs of growth stagnation. Adolescents (grade 3) were also present. Most of the trees were in good to excellent health condition. The results showed that in the area of interest there are not any trees in emergency or highly disturbed state. Most of the trees also show a high landscaping value, which means that in the area of interest we can find, with a few exceptions, trees of good quality. Occurrence of the valued species in Obora Hvězda was also confirmed by two previous studies, in 1986 and 2010.

This diploma thesis with the title Creation of the integrated system of the quality management on the base of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in the particular firm has the target to develop the proposal of the procedure of the implementation of the system of the environmental management according to the norm ČSN EN ISO 14001 and of the quality management according to the norm ČSN EN ISO 9001 in the company LAMIVEX s.r.o. To reach the target it was necessary to hold a conversation with the senior management and the employees, to observe their every day activities and to make the internal audit. The following step was to elaborate the gained information and to create the documentation according to the norm ČSN EN ISO 14001 and the norm ČSN EN ISO 9001.

Reengineering of project management processes in selected ICT company

This thesis focuses on project management. The introduction defines the basic concepts of project management and describes the most frequently used project management methodologies focusing on PRINCE2 methodology. The main body of the thesis focuses on processes in the chosen ICT company, more specifically on process reengineering and on the description of related documents. After a brief introduction of the company and its project history the thesis moves on to describe the current project management processes and related documentation in detail. Following this, the processes are re-designed according to the PRINCE2 methodology. Recommendation regarding the processes are given as well as recommendation regarding the appropriate documentation. Drafts of selected documents are made.

Proposal of tree species on announcement memorable trees in the district of Kutná Hora

This thesis represents the culmination of years of work, dealing with the description, locating, inventory, photographs and mapping of protected trees in the district of Kutna Hora. Altogether, hundred and five memorial trees has been mapped and the work is completed with a proposal of six new trees that complement and thereby close the entire set of work that addresses memorial trees in the district of Kutna Hora. These documents will be forwarded to the competent authorities to ensure subsequent legislative action. The result of the thesis is a proposal of six major tree species on declaration of memorable trees which all the background data for the declaration has been prepared for by the competent authorities of these trees nature conservation. The proposed trees are four pieces and two avenues. A detailed documentation including geographic focus, according to inventory methodology Pejchal (2008), a detailed photographic documentation and localization of the proposed tree maps, has been created for each proposed memorial tree. The proposed solitary trees are 2 heart-shaped linden (Tilia cordata), oak (Quercus robur) and London Plane (Platanus x acerifolia). The first of the proposed alley consists of 39 heart-shaped linden (Tilia cordata) and the second proposed alley consists of about 390 deciduous larches (Larix decidua). A complete documentation for the initiation of administrative proceedings on their publication memorable trees has been established for all the proposed species. Proposed trees are supported by a memorable photographs and maps with precise location.

Archives and documentation of performance art: at the intersection between history and myth.

The PhD thesis deals with the role of archives in the contemporary artistic and curatorial practice, with an emphasis on the performance art. It also analyses the creation process, methodology and the contents of selected personal and institutional archives in both Czech and international contexts. The objective of the paper is to answer the following questions: In what way is the documentation and subsequent archiving of process-oriented forms of art performed? How is the history of the contemporary art formed and interpreted through these archives and with the help of the artistic and curatorial practice? To what extent are we able to reconstruct the history from records and performance documents that are only fragmented, thus making a reference to a real action? Do the archives leave some room for misinterpretation, creating a myth or personality cult through its system of classification of knowledge? How indeed is the performance art related to its own history; how is this history perceived by the performer alone; and how is it approached by the professional audience? The paper will also include the analysis of current state and possible solutions to the operation of the archive of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which is related to opening a dialogue among artists, theorists and institutions that might be interested in better accessibility of such an archive.

Documentation of Skalní zámek passage in Býčí skála cave - northern part

My bachelor thesis deals with speological mapping parts of cave system Býčí skála - Skalní zámek. Detailed measurements of plan view map are carried out with electronic method –through combination of measuring equipment DistaX2 and software application TopoDroid per the appropriate tablet. The resulting map is formed in the program Therion. The course of my bachelor thesis involves handling of apparatus and the instruction how to measure then process the data. The introductory part is devoted to the localization and extent of the thesis. The instructions of used surveying and software device are described in the subsequent parts. The final section is related to comparisons of mining suspension compasses.

Documentation of MTB Trails Malhostovice - Brno

The aim of this thesis was to focus MTB routes Malhostovice - Brno tourist GPS. From GPS measurements were then made the route directional and longitudinal profiles.They were then made longitudinal direction courses and profiles once the tourist maps. The result is a comparison of the direction of the route and longitudinal sections that are different horizontal and vertical.
