EVALUATION OF MASONRY BUILDINGS STATIC SECURING EFFECTIVENESS
Ledvoňová, Monika ; Šulák, Pavel (referee) ; Šulák,, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil,, Pavel (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The theses looks into the evaluation of the efficiency of statical support of masonry buildings based on the measurements of changes to the crack width of the building. Monitoring of building is one of the main tools for their evaluation, in addition to the initial inspection and survey. In this way, monitoring is given in standards, for example in ČSN ISO 13 822 Bases for design of structures – Assessment of existing structures [1]. The first theoretical part is focused on defects and failures of brick masonry and methods of its monitoring, especially the measurement of displacements in cracks in masonry buildings with a special focus on the use of Hollan crack measurement gauge. The research part listed chronologically alternatives of structural support, both implemented during the construction works or afterwards. The comprehensive chapter then describes in detail wrought iron rods, this work deals with the testing of these rods in its laboratory part. The entire issue of practical part closely focuses on masonry estates built between the 1850s and 1950s and it is divided into two separate chapters. One part deals with laboratory tests of wrought iron rods, as one of the main reinforcing elements of historic masonry buildings that belong to the period in question. These elements were tested non-destructively (tests using a hand-held hardness tester and a hand-held X-ray analyzer) and subsequently also subjected to destructive testing, in which tensile tests of these rods were performed, including their joints. The subsequent practical part is focused on the complex monitoring of a selected brick building, which was damaged by bordering construction activities, specifically the construction of a multi-storey residence in its immediate vicinity. The results of this measurement enabled the design of a methodology for monitoring multi-storey masonry buildings, which completes and concludes the whole topic.
Reconstruction

Bachelor thesis delas with documentation for execution of the rekonstruction of current building of former tavern in the village Dobročkovice and its adjustment to Municipal house. The building has one above-floor and partial basement. In the Municipal house is area for Municipal office of village Dobročkovice and two flats. To the Municipal house belongs also a new building for technical services of village Dobročkovice The current loadbearing masonry is from clay bricks and is added with contact thermal insulation system. Building for technical services has loadbearing masonry from aerated concrete blocks YTONG. In the building of Municipal house is current joist floor, added with mineral wool insulation and plasterboard suspended ceiling. Both buildings are roofed with clay tile roofing. Above the Municipal house is designed new tradicional timber roof truss and above building fot technical services is timber truss girder roof.
The Sports Centr TJ Slavoj Jeseník nad Odrou
Lušovský, Lukáš ; Struhala, Karel (referee) ; Manychová, Monika (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is an extension of a two-storey basement sports center in Jeseník nad Odrou. There is a relaxation area and a fitness area in the sports center. It is connected to the existing gym building with the tourist hostel by means of a connecting neck. There is a reception and a café for both facilities. The whole building is then covered with single-layer flat roofs. The main entrance to the building is located on the southeast side of the building at level 1.NP. Vertical constructions are made mainly of ceramic sys-tem elements Porotherm. Ceiling constructions are designed as prefabricated prestressed panels. The staircases are prefabricated reinforced concrete. The project was developed using the computer program AutoCAD.
Fire Station
Hořák, Michal ; Jelínek, Petr (referee) ; Struhala, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis includes a new building of the fire department. The building is located in Valašské Klobouky, along Brumovská street. The main entrances to the buildings are oriented to the west. It is a two-storey building, in part a basement. The construction system is bricked. The object is covered with a flat and sloping roof.
Complex diagnostics in the evaluation of static structural condition of the building
Kinclová, Anežka ; Láník, Jaromír (referee) ; Schmid, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis deals about the building structural condition of the building in Šlapanice, street Riegrova 1238/21. Methods of diagnostic survey are suitably chosen, then realized and evaluated. From these results is done structural calculation of bricks pillar in first-floor. We reached to the conclusion, that the most suitable solution is demolition of this existing object and build the new one.
Gaff by the pond
Vondra, Miloš ; Mizerová,, Lenka Smolková (referee) ; Smolka, Radim (advisor)
The project involves the design and solution of a restaurant with dance floor and accommodation. This includes a new building on land plot 389/1, 389/3, 389/4, 1632/2, 1632/3, 1634/9, located in the town of Čáslav. Access to the building and layout inside the building is barrier-free. The restaurant is designed for a capacity of 120 people to sit. The total bed capacity of the pension is 14 beds. One double room is designed for barrier free use of the accommodation unit. The structural system of the object is masonry, with additional elements of the cast-in-place concrete frame. At the site of the largest span are designed reinforced concrete columns and dimensioned 0.3 x 0.3 m with a maximum centre to centre spacing of 5.31 x 5.775 m. Basement masonry is supposed to be from permanent shuttering. The masonry part of the building at the groundfloors is made from ceramic blocks of type POROTHERM with 300 mm thickness. Internal loadbearing masonry and not loadbearing masonry walls are built from ceramic blocks of POROTHERM with thickness 250, 150, 80 mm, or plasterboard partition with thickness 155 mm. The building is insulated with a contact insulation system. The (exterior) building envelope is designed with a ventilated air gap. The floor structure is supposed to be from reinforced concrete monolithic slab. The building is roofed with a flat roof with a single-layer flat roof with a classical layout. Above the restaurant will be an extensive green roof.
Family house with an establishment
Niedoba, Andrzej ; Bartoš, Tomáš (referee) ; Utíkalová, Ivana (advisor)
This project designs a new building of family house with an establishment as a separate object. Family house is single-storey with residential attic, without a basement and with a gable roof. The establishment (hairdresser) has a shed roof. The building is designed as a wall construction system (Porotherm) with a contact thermal – insulation system. There is a garage located among theese objects. The project will also include the parking lots and pavements.
Reconstruction of residential building
Pavlíček, Jan ; Tichomirov,, Vladimír (referee) ; Novotný, Miloslav (advisor)
The subject of this final thesis is prepared detailed project documentation for the reconstruction of apartment building on Karáskovo Square in Brno - Židenice. The existing building is rectangular and is a part of a apartment terraced buildings. Residential building has a basement and three floors and an attic. The main entrance is oriented to the southwest. Foundation structures are concrete, vertical support system is a brick wall, roof structure is wooden roof standing stool with pleated ceramic tiles.
