The use of Klapp method in the physiotherapy of wrong body holding
LOJKOVÁ, Michaela
The main theme of this bachelor work is the use of Klapp method in the physiotherapy of wrong body posture. The theoretical part is mainly focused on wrong body posture, its´ consequances and the possibilites for rehabilitation. The chapter about wrong body posture also includes a sub-chapter about correct body holding. Besides that, the theoretical part is also focused on posture and deep stabilization system. Therefore the important chapter is about Klapp method. This chapter summarizes all important and relevant information from all available sources about the Klapp method. The practical part of this work is made from qualitative research in the form of detailed case reports. The research was made of three patients with wrong body posture who had problems with back pain and in one case also neck pain. The patients were comingfor a therapy almost every week for the time period of two months. The Klapp method was used almost exclusively in this therapy. The bachelor work had two goals. The first goal was to describe the Klapp method in physiotherapy. This goal was achieved in the chapter dedicated to Klapp method in the theoretical part of the work and further in the methodology part of the work where are described individual posititions of this method. The information about this method are extended by photos of individual positions from my own source which are being attached to this work. The second goal was to find out how this method can influence problems which arise in people with wrong body posture. I achieved this goal through the research part of this work. The therapy, which was used on patients and which focused mainly on Klapp method, reduced the pain in all my patients. Therefore it can be said that Klapp method positively influenced the problem of my patients. This bachelor work can be used as an educational material for physiotherapeutists and also for a broad public which would like to get a closer look on the problem with wrong body posture or with Klapp method.
Possibilities of physiotherapy in vertebral problems connected with children headache at the age from 0-15 years
PROCHÁZKOVÁ, Nikol
This thesis describes possibilities of physiotherapy for children under 15 years of age suffering from headaches associated with low back problems. Nowadays, children sit prolongated periods of time using computers and mobile phones. It often leads to poor posture, which can cause headaches. Improper sitting leads to weakening of trunk muscles, kyphotic spine, and neck muscle group overload. The aim of this study is to explore vertebral problems associated with headaches and propose specific options of physiotherapy to improve overall posture. The study consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the anatomy of a spine and its connection to a head, and headache causes. Then it describes possibilities of physiotherapy to be used in case of a vertebral headache and issues. The practical part was processed by means of qualitative research. It consists of study objectives, methodology and results of the research. In a test group there were three children aged 9 to 15, two boys and one girl. Therapy was carried out every week for two months. Based on an input kinesiology test, each test person was assigned a short- and long-term rehabilitation and exercise plan. At the end of the therapy, the subjects had output kinesiology examination, the results were compared, and also evaluated by the subjects. The process is documented by photographs of the entry and exit inspections and sample exercises. With all test subjects, the headache receded, the respiratory stereotype was corrected and overall posture improved.
Possibilities of using Daflex for teenagers with faulty body posture
MARKOVÁ, Anežka
This bachelor thesis is focused on the possibilities of the use of an exercise equipment called Daflex in physiotherapy of older school age children who have been diagnosed with a faulty posture. Daflex is a unique rehabilitation exercise tool that was patented in the Czech republic in 2012. The diagnosis of faulty posture of children we can see quite often. There are many development difficulties in this age group. There are not only the hormonal and psychological changes but at the same time it is the period of the growth acceleration. The disorders of coordination of motion and also muscle dysblance are very common. It is caused by passive leisure time activities and by the unequal loading of certain muscle groups. The muscle dysbalance can be also caused by inadequate training and by overloading of the young athletes. The theoretical part is focused on exercises with the help of the Daflex. It will show some training techniques and principles which should be folowed during the exercises. It will describe how to hold and how to use the Daflex. Discussed here are the specifics of the older school age and the changes that are characteristic for these children. Further work deals with the body posture, its rating and with the possibilities of compensatory exercises of the Daflex System program. For the practical part of the work was used the method of qualitative research. The research was made in the form of processing of the three case studies and in the analysis of the interviews. The work contains the input and output kinesiological analysis and also the semi-structured interview with respondents and with their parents. It contains the proposal of the physiotherapeutic exercises and a description of the therapy with the photographs. The purpose of this work was to map the possibilities of using of the Daflex System? program in the physiotherapy of the children of older school age and to make an appropriate physiotherapeutic plan for individual workouts. From the results of the entrance examination i tis possible to see that all of the studied children had a muscle imbalance in the neck and in upper thoracic spine. There was congestion of the torso extenders, of neck and also the intercellular flabbiness of the muscles. It was possible to monitor the displacement of the head, protraction of the shoulder joints and kyphatic posture of the thoracic spine. At the initial examination were children captured in photos that are listed in the annexes of the work. The parents and children were familiar with the Daflex System? method, they got the photo documentation and the description of exercises. It was followed by a special exercise unit. Than the children got more difficult exercises according to their fitness level. All the children have learned the basic ten exercises. Later they got five individual exercises. At the last meeting there was the interview with children and with their parents. The final kinesiological analysis was enriched by the photographs. It can be detected from the final kinesiological analysis that the health status of children has been imroved during the therapy. There has been improved the straightening of the spine, the shortened muscle groups has been stretched and it is possible to see the improvement of the body posture. In the interview children said that they were trying regularly and their parents confirmed the information. The parents appriciated that the exercises were chosen well, the kids were able to remember them and were very motivatied for the movement. The Daflex System rehablitation tool and the method can be a welcome diversification to the usual training units. This bachelor thesis can be used as an information material for students of physiotherapy and for students of physiotherapy and for physiotherapists in a clinical practice.
Determining the most common functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system of primary school children, particularly in 5th grade at elementary schools in the district Tabor
POPOVIČOVÁ, Žaneta
This graduation thesis deals with the occurrence of the most common functional disorders of the locomotor system in children in 5th grade at elementary schools in the district of Tábor. The research was implement on twenty-two primary schools. In total, 786 children from the 36th grade in the Tábor District were monitored and evaluated. The task of the thesis was the processing of literary research based on the study of Czech and foreign literature. In addition, obtaining the approval of school principals and pupils' parents to conduct research. As part of our research, we used the test method using standardized tests for examination of body posture, according to Matthias and Jaros and Lomicek. Part of the research was also the measurement of the pupils' weight and height and the subsequent calculation of the BMI index. The collected data were processed into tables and the frequency of the faults was evaluated in the graphs. Overall results showed different values of posture assessment. According to Jaros and Lomicek, nearly 20% of children had a perfect body posture, good 72%, badly less than 8%, and very bad holdings appeared in 1.5% of the investigated. Matthias's test showed nearly 70% of good body posture, 29% of pupil posture defective and 1% defective posture with fixed deviation. The most common functional disorders of this research group include primarily enlarged lumbar lordosis. This research has confirmed the importance of everyday physical activity and compensatory exercise in the fight against functional disorders.
