Advanced visualisation tool for cycling traffic intensity in Brno
Šerejch, Radek ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Lazúr, Juraj (advisor)
Due to the continuously growing trend of cycling transportation, there arises a need to analyze cycling transportation. The data portal of the city of Brno provides data that can be utilized in various ways. However, the records in these datasets use different underlying maps. This problem is addressed by Radoslav Eliáš in his master’s thesis, where he creates a connected data model using algorithms. For visualizing this data, he uses the ArcGIS application, which, however, is not sufficiently flexible for easy creation of advanced visualizations. Therefore, in this thesis, an application is proposed and implemented to replace the existing method of visualization. For simple data preprocessing, the application is divided into a backend and frontend part. The backend part handles data preprocessing, which is subsequently provided through an API. The frontend part consists of a web application that handles all graph and visualization creation. The implemented solution brings broader possibilities for analyzing data and also facilitates responding to changes in the datasets.
Design of a small low-cost robot AI.SCARA
Janoušek, Tomáš ; Parák, Roman (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design and build a low-cost robot based on the industrial concept SCARA, which meets the requirements in terms of rigidity and repeatability for application in a wide range of manipulation tasks primarily implemented in a university environment. The thesis includes not only the unique mechanical design, but also design and implementation of the electrical circuitry, control system, and design of a user-friendly human-machine interface for basic control, diagnosis and calibration of the robotic structure. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on a research of existing robotic structures, SCARA systems available on the market and end-effectors for manipulation operations.
Selecting Objects in Augmented Reality
Pribylina, Martin ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kapinus, Michal (advisor)
This work proposes and tests methods for object selection in augmented reality. The work focuses on selecting objects that overlap with each other in densely populated clusters. The proposed selection methods are direct selection, cursor, and list. As part of the work, an application has been developed that allows testing of the three methods and measures accuracy, time, motion and other criteria for a thorough evaluation of their applicability. The application was implemented using Unity and ARCore. A user study with 16 respondents was conducted using the test application. The results of the work show the advantages and disadvantages of each selection.
Webová aplikace pro efektivní anotaci atributů objektů ve videu
Pernický, Michal ; Kohút, Jan (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this work is to develop a web application for annotating video object attributes that combines an efficient user interface with an assistant classifier providing predictions. In contrast to currently available tools, the solution focuses directly on objects without assigning them to the original videos. The ability to filter objects according to their attributes and to confirm or reject predicted attribute values in bulk is important. Testing on users has been found to reduce the time spent working by up to half. This shows that further work with this annotation principle is worthwhile.
Spatial Augmented Reality for Robotic Workplace
Štrof, Jakub ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The focus of this work is to create projected user interface, which will complement AREditor, an application for robotic programming and also to calibrate Kinect and projector using existing calibration method. For calibration, I used the procam-calibration method, which uses projected Gray codes onto a chessboard to calculate calibration parameters. Thanks to it, virtual objects can be placed correctly into the real space. User interface was implemented using game engine Unity. By testing the interface, it was found that it helps the user to better grasp the relation between real and virtual space when placing virtual objects into the robotic workplace. It also raises user's awareness of the robot's movements when cooperating with it.
Detection and Classification of Photovoltaic Power Plant Panel Defects from a Drone Thermal Imaging Camera
Haužvic, Filip ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
The thesis describes the processing of thermal images of photovoltaic power plants captured by a drone. In contemporary solutions, the images are analyzed manually, where an expert in thermal imaging searches for defects in individual panels. This approach is very time-consuming, and introducing some level of automation could ease the process. Therefore, I trained and utilized a U-Net model that detects hot spots in the images. To visualize and present the defects to the user, I designed and created a web-based application that highlights them in a complete orthomosaic of the photovoltaic power plant. Within the application, a user can annotate PV panels in the power plant and manually remove, or add any defect. When the plant is wholly annotated, an export to a spreadsheet can be created, matching defects to the individual annotated panels.
Automation of the dispensing system and coffee registration of the coffee machine
Bleha, Martin ; Spáčil, Tomáš (referee) ; Formánek, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis's main objective is to establish the design and the implementation of a master control system for a coffee machine, as well as the development of the supporting software. The system aims to be able to track coffee consumption for each user individually. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first and second chapters form the theoretical part of the thesis, which is a brief review of the coffee machine and Raspberry Pi platform used in the system realization. Chapters three to five form the practical part, which consists of the analysis of selected components of the coffee machine, the designed solution, and its implementation with the coffee machine.
Optimization of control using reinforcement learning on the Robocode platform
Pastušek, Václav ; Myška, Vojtěch (referee) ; Burget, Radim (advisor)
This master's thesis focuses on optimizing the control of a tank robot in the Robocode environment using reinforcement learning. The complexity of this problem falls into the EXPSPACE class, presenting a challenge that cannot be underestimated. The theoretical part of the thesis meticulously examines the Robocode platform, concepts of reinforcement learning, and relevant algorithms, while the practical part focuses on optimizing the agent, implementing reinforcement learning algorithms, and creating a user-friendly interface for easy training and testing of models. A total of 64 models were trained and tested as part of the thesis, with their data and parameters compared and presented in accompanying databases and graphs. The best results in terms of average hits per episode were achieved by models labeled v0.8.0 and v1.0.0. The first model exhibited a certain ability to evade shots, while the second model showed more successful hits.
Product Data Visualization in PNC Build System
