Jobs scheduling in a volunteer organization
Žofák, Norbert ; Trunda, Otakar (advisor) ; Barták, Roman (referee)
The aim of the work is analysis and implementation of a tool, which will support a job scheduling for workers on the annual voluntary service which lasts for a week. The scheduling is done semiautomatically based on various criteria. Users of the tool are able to track a current state of the algorithm execution and influence it. The analysis of the chosen scheduling algorithms and their comparison on real data is also a part of the work. The tool can also be used as a register of worker, job, area and car properties. The emphasis is on the simplicity and intuitivity of the tool controlling and the data input.
User Interface Analysis
Říha, Roman ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Zavoral, Filip (referee)
Graphical user interfaces (GUIs) form an essential part of many nowadays applications and often provide the only way of controlling them. There are many different ways of how GUIs can be created. Their structure and appearance in individual applications also differ quite significantly. If users had a tool capable of generating machine-readable information about the structure of these GUIs and about the positions of their components, it would allow them to automate the GUI manipulation or to implement tools for GUI accessibility for visually impaired people. In this work, we managed to implement a very flexible tool that employs various combinable methods of a GUI analysis and also provides an interface for implementing new methods for the analysis. Creation of a User Interface of a Mobile Controller for Interactive Screens
Nová, Jana ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Daněk, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to create a responsive front-end part of the mobile controller for applications on the interactive screens using modern frontend technologies. The theoretical chapters introduce to the readers the basic principles of accessibility and usability, including testing tools, which can be used for checking these principles. The aim of the practical part is to create a concise guide of front-end modern tools and technologies such as front-end frameworks, CSS preprocessors and tools for automating tasks on the front-end. In the practical part are these described tools and technologies used to create a mobile controller.
Code Characterization for Automated User Interface Generation
Web Applications on the Node.js Platform
Červený, Pavel ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with a design of a Node.js platform web application, using additional tools and technologies, which are used in this kind of development. The main aim of this application is to create a prototype of an educational application, which is going to be used for learning basics of Javascript language. This thesis is divided into several sections. Firstly it describes the technologies which are used to create this application, then a theory for executing source code in web application, design of the application itself, implementation and testing.
Computer Interface Based on User's Head Position
Chmiel, Filip ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This paper presents the method for a head pose and orientation detection based on computer vision techniques. The method is based on the AdaBoost approach for initial face recognition and the optical flow technique for further object tracking. The detection results are further interpreted and stabilized. The method is designed for usage in designing and building the innovative user interfaces.
Gallery Presentation System
Travěnec, Jiří ; Ševcovic, Jiří (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes creating a user interface of touch application designed for visitor centre. It focuses on creating a compact and cohesive user interface that is intuitive and a navigation that is clear for user at any age. A part of this thesis is a theoretical introduction to touch applications, enumeration of existing solutions issued from multimedia applications encyclopedias. It also includes draft, design and implementation of application and description of used development tools. The whole topic then concludes outline of improvements and different realizations, which can be implemented in the future.
Distributed System for Control and Visualization of Industrial Process
Klvaňa, Martin ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The thesis describes the development of system for control and visualization of industrial process created for a company producing silicon wafers. The main benefit of this system is improving operator working ergonomy with the designed user interface. This is why the thesis also discuss good principles of user interface design. The application tries to take full advantage of ModernUI user interface, which is used in this application. The thesis describes designing architecture and implementation, rates operator feedback and summarize application deploy and her future improving.
Web Portal for Project Milestones and Goal Tracking
Maliňák, Václav ; Szőke, Igor (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this theses is a creation of a project and goal managing system with effective user interface. The modern goal setting is the base of defined user interface. A substantial proportion of the theses deals with gamification, which encourages the users to use the system and motivates them to reach the predefined goals and fulfil the projects. Theoretical knowledge of goals settings and project managing serves as a base for the whole concept of the system and for a creation of the actual gamification engine. A web-based application utilizing implemented components was created with the system. An essential part of the theses is a formulation of hypotheses and their verification by testing.
