Reintegration of people after alcohol treatment into daily life

This diploma thesis deals with an issue of treatment of alcohol dependence and the process of social inclusion of people who have undergone this process. The thesis provides an overview of services and other forms of assistance that are targeted at this group. Attention is paid mainly to the current set-up of the services and assistance system to identify strong and weak aspects of the system. The work is based on a qualitative research. The research was conducted throught expert interviews and interviews with users of these services. Theoretical basis of the work is the ethiology of addiction, which offers various explanations of the origin and persistence of the problem of alcohol dependence. The work also uses the findings of the life course perspective, which allows to map the life trajectories of the interviewees, including the recognition of key events in their lives affecting the emergence and development of addicton. The last theoretical starting point of the work is the concept of social inclusion.
Social circus and usage of empowerment when working with groups at risk of exclusion

The master thesis deals with the area of social circus, which works with groups with risk of exclusion in the form of creative expression. The aim of the thesis is to map social circus projects in the Czech Republic and Spain, in relation to the phenomenon of empowerment in working with groups at risk of exclusion, especially in terms of social circus projects, the way they work with empowerment and for what purpose and subsequent comparison of gathered data with existing research and empowerment theories. The thesis therefore offers an insight into the current state of social circus and its connection with civil society by empowerment of people at risk of exclusion. Life of mothers with children in a shelter.

This thesis deals with the life of mothers with children in the shelter. The thesis maps expectations of these women about living in the shelter in the confrontation with their real experience. The thesis is divided into several parts. Theoretical part consists of nine subchapters where the basic concepts related to the issue of social services - shelters, unfavorable social situation, social exclusion and social inclusion are defined. The thesis describes the principles of the activity of shelters for mothers with children, deals with the state of care for mothers with children in our country and characterizes the development and changes in the function of the family. The thesis also deals with the reasons leading to the loss of housing, the issues of homelessness and housing accessibility. It describes and characterizes the possibilities of social protection of mothers with children without home, besides social services - shelters also conditions for entitlement to social benefits and the relevant legislation. The empirical part defines the objectives, research methods and results, which are illustrated and described in tables, discussion and final summary. The main aim of the thesis was to find out the expectations of the mothers with children about the life in the shelter in confrontation with their real experience. The partial objectives of the thesis were to find out for what causes mothers with children come to the shelter and how their needs are met. Research questions have been identified for these objectives: For what reasons do mothers with children seek for help in the shelter? What are the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter? What is the real experience of mothers with children living in the shelter? Were the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter met? Empirical part of the thesis was processed by the method of qualitative research using semi-structured interview with opened questions. For data evaluation the method of open coding was used. The research group consisted of six women - mothers with children living in the shelter in the South Bohemian Region. Given the sensitivity of the topic the identification data of women and the shelter were not mentioned in this thesis. The research pointed out the issue of (in)availability of housing for single mothers with children in the unfavorable social situation. The most common reason for loss of housing is the break-up of the partnership, the dismissal of housing and lack of funds. The research also revealed that the main expectation of all interviewed women is to provide accommodation and stay with their children. This thesis helped to find out which services the clients seek the most and whether their needs are fulfilled.
Transformation of social service facilities

The bachelor work deals with comparison of institutional care and community social service. It describes the formation and development of institutional care and its conditions in recent days. At the beginning there is given a definition of terms concerning the social services to handicapped people, especially to mental retarded ones. The goal of this work is to assess the contribution of transformation in social care from the point of view of the client. Further it analyses the benefits to better quality of life and improvement of competences. Proper support helps handicapped people to a fully-fledged life and to full or at least partial inclusion in society. The final part goes through real experiences with transformation in one particular facility. Personal experiences ilustrate best the contribution of changes in description of various areas in everyday life.
The Influence of Motor Skills on Social Inclusion of Person with Multiple Disabilities

The thesis focuses on the influence of motoric skills on social inclusion of people with multiple disabilities. It explains the basic terminology, such as disabilities, It explains the basic terminology, such as disabilities, social inclusion and motoric sklills. The people with severe multiple mental and physical disabilities are also characterised. Some aspects related to their social inclusion, social work with them and training of their motoric skills are also elaborated on. The thesis includes a case study of the day care centre Človíček. On practical examples from the social institution, i tis shown in which way and on what circumstances i tis possible to train motoric skills. On the two practical examples the thesis analyses the influence of motoric activities on social inclusion of people with the above mentioned disabilities.
Selected questions of care for the elderly in terms of social inclusion

The diploma thesis is focused on senior's education and aims to find out whether seniors are interesed in education and whether this interest is influenced by the age or financial situation of the individual. The whole work is primarily based on the context of the National Action Plan for Positive Aging for the period 2013-2017, where social inclusion of seniors focuses on the areas of ensuring and protecting the human rights of elderly people, lifelont learning, healthy aging, a quality environment for the elderly, volunteering and intergenerational cooperation, employement of older people and care for the most fragile seniors with limited self-sufficiency. The thesis was divided into a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part are described in detail the necessary terms related to the given issue and the practical part includes the chosen target of work, hypothesis, methodology, which subsequently tests these hypotheses, the results of the survey and the final discussion.
