Education in Austrian aristocratic families from the beginning of 19th century to the 1st half of 20th century

The thesis deals with the education in austrian aristocratic families in the 19th century and in the 1st half of 20th century. The education and upbringing of children had been influented by plenty of factors. The most important factors, which influenced education, were the environment (home or boarding school), specialization of education, the selection of schools and universities and the language of education, too. Parents, nannys and private teachers also had some influence on the upbringing of the children. In the 19th century we can find some common characteristic in some of the noble families (The Schwarzenbergs, the Sternbergs, the Mensdorffs and some others). The 1st half of the 20th century is an essential period for the history of aristocracy. Political changes reflected in its lifestyle and partially in the upbringing and education of the children of the aristocrats. These changes are illustrated on the education of children in the family of prince Johann Schönburg-Hartenstein. More specifically, the questions were focused on the level of education in selected types of schools, the possibility to gain education based on one´s abilities, the evaluation of one´s own education in terms of developing certain skills and competences and how the educational system is able to develop different aspects of pupils and students.
The history and present of the Czech community in France with a focus on associational life

This diploma thesis deals with the Czech community in France in both the past and present. In general, it focuses on the community organizing of Czech compatriots. The aim of the thesis is to gain a fundamental overview of this topic, to find interesting relations, and to point out the importance of compatriot associations for Czechs living in France. The thesis is based on the search in literary and internet sources, the knowledge gained via questionnaires, other conversation and the author's personal experiences during her stay in Nantes. The first part of the thesis provides basic information about the history of Czech emigration to France, the development of compatriot associations, and the start of Czech schools and Czech high-school sections in France. The second part of the thesis introduces the overview of current associations and other institutions related to Czechs and Czech culture in France. It deals, in more detail, with the activity of chosen Franco-Czech associations working in various French regions. These organizations are available for Czech compatriots to join actively. Terrorism in the 21st Century - Active Shooter

Title: Terrorism at 21. century-active shooter Objectives: The aim of this work is to analyze terrorism in the 21st century, to describe this phenomenon focusing on active shooter and to find measures taken against shooters at Czech elementary schools. Methods: The theoretical part of the diploma thesis was prepared with the help of a descriptive analytical method, searches of available Czech literature, foreign sources and valid legislative sources. In the practical part, a questionnaire was conducted on the theme of active shooter. The results were statistically processed and then interpreted. Evaluation of the Czech education system – September 2018

In the opinion poll carried out in September 2018 by the Public Opinion Research Centre, questions regarding the Czech education system were included. More specifically, the questionnaire asked surveyors about their opinions towards the quality of education in different types of schools and towards the possible improvement of specific skills during their own educational years.
