Modern methods of reconstruction of saturated audio signals
Mikulášková, Aneta ; Mokrý, Ondřej (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis presents a variety of soft clipping simulations and their respective de-clipping functions. A restoration method uses a Douglas-Rachford algorithm (already verified for hard de-clip). The algorithm is extended by inverse functions and simultaneous de-quantization is proposed. The simulations are applied to artificial signals, and audio samples, and the proposal is tested in the computing environment MATLAB. A restored signal is later evaluated by objective and subjective methods.
In vitro saturation study of 99mTc-HYNIC-ramucirumab on PC-3 cell line

Pavel Bárta, PhD Consultant: Mgr. Lucie Hyršová Title of diploma thesis: In vitro saturation study of 99m Tc-HYNIC-ramucirumab on PC-3 cell line The number of malignant tumours in the population has increased in recent years. Due to the frequent serious sides effects of chemotherapeutic drugs on the whole organism, targeted antitumor therapy is at the forefront. Due to its specific effect on the regulatory and signal pathways of protein structures, monoclonal antibodies are used for the target anti-tumour therapy. The basic properties of the growing tumour include vasculogenesis (the ability to build new blood vessels from the endothelial precursors) and angiogenesis (the process of self-inducing formation of blood vessels). Endothelial tumour progenitors include vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). VEGF activates its biological activity by binding to its transmembrane tyrosine-kinase receptors VEGFR. Indeed, the inhibition of the vascular endothelial factor receptors is the target of some monoclonal antibodies. Ramucirumab is a monoclonal antibody that selectively inhibits VEGF receptor type 2 (VEGFR-2) and thereby...
Image Deblurring in Demanding Conditions

Title: Image Deblurring in Demanding Conditions Author: Jan Kotera Department: Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Czech Academy of Sciences Supervisor: Doc. Ing. Filip Šroubek, Ph.D., DSc., Institute of Information Theory and Automation, Czech Academy of Sciences Abstract: Image deblurring is a computer vision task consisting of removing blur from image, the objective is to recover the sharp image corresponding to the blurred input. If the nature and shape of the blur is unknown and must be estimated from the input image, image deblurring is called blind and naturally presents a more difficult problem. This thesis focuses on two primary topics related to blind image deblurring. In the first part we work with the standard image deblurring based on the common convolution blur model and present a method of increasing robustness of the deblur- ring to phenomena violating the linear acquisition model, such as for example inten- sity clipping caused by sensor saturation in overexposed pixels. If not properly taken care of, these effects significantly decrease accuracy of the blur estimation and visual quality of the restored image. Rather than tailoring the deblurring method explicitly for each particular type of acquisition model violation we present a general approach based on flexible automatic...
Estimating The Power Bjt Excess Charge Recombination Time Constant
Mikláš, Ján
The paper demonstrates an experimental way of estimating the excess minority carriers charge stored within the the power bipolar transistor in the saturation mode, i.e. with both junctions forward-biased, as a reference to future IGBT switching action analysis. The method is based on analyzing the transient turn-off base current waveforms at different conditions right before this event. The base current is known to supply the minority carriers within the device. Estimating the recombination time constant serves as a basal precondition for further identification of the excess charge storage depending on various operating conditions and retrospectively an accurate identification of power BJT and IGBT various partial stage of switching action.
Channel Merging Techniques For Improving Dynamic Range Of ± 10v Signal Chain
Dusek, Samuel
This paper presents the channel merging technique that is used in the Analog Devices part AD7606C. In more detail, it describes the current dynamic range (DR) and total harmonic distortion (THD) performance that has been achieved on the first AD7606C silicon. Then, it presents options to achieve higher values of the DR and also options to mitigate the undesirable non-linear current which decreases the THD performance.

Channel Merging Techniques for improving Dynamic Range of ± 10 V Signal Chain Channel
The main aim of this thesis was to evaluate the current state of iodine levels in horses from selected farms in South Bohemia. Out of the sample group, no animal with iodine deficiency was detected. Additional objective of this thesis was to assess whether selected horse owners supplement their horses with iodine and what form of supplementation they choose.
