Experimental validation of active flow control concept for automotive applications
This Bachelor thesis deals with charting the development of the automotive aerodynamics in the post-war period. It focuses on principles that go along with car design. The development is demonstrated by aerodynamically significant and unusual cars including racing and record cars. Last but not least, the work compares those cars with today's cars and describes drawbacks of the cars of the given period from today's perspective.
Design of Urban Electric Car
Soušek, Vít ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Zvonek, Miroslav (advisor)
This work deals with design of urban electric car. Its analytic part describes the evolution of design of the vehicle and then compares technical options and visual appearance of current production. The main goal of the work is to create an exterior design of compact four-seated electric car intended mainly for urban and suburban passenger transport. This part of the work describes own design solution connecting the aesthetics, functionality, ergonomics and modern technology together.
The beginnings of automotive aerodynamics
Sunek, Ondřej ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Čavoj, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with charting the early phase of development of automobile aerodynamics around the first half of the 20th century. Further on, it describes some procedures which were used for designing of each car and the circumstances that led to the design of breakthrough cars. Simultaneously the thesis states some aerodynamic deficiencies of the cars of the period as viewed from today´s perspective.
Biomechanical load analysis in case of child cyclist collision with passenger car
Schejbalová, Zuzana ; Lenková, Alžběta ; Mičunek, Tomáš
The safety of pedestrians and cyclists is justified especially in terms of prevention. This paper deals with the biomechanical analysis of load exerted on the child cyclist in configuration typical for cyclists (sudden enter the road or the case of non-giving way; the car front vs. the left side of the cyclists). Two tests were performed in the same configuration and nominal collision speed, the first one with a bicycle helmet and the second one without the helmet. Using the accelerometers in the head, chest, pelvis and knee of the dummy acceleration fields were detected, which is the cyclist exposed during the primary and secondary collision. In conclusion, the results will be interpreted by values of biomechanical load and severity of potential injuries including kinematic and dynamic comparison with a pedestrian vs. vehicle collision.
Analysis of Driving a Passenger Vehicle with a Trailer
Šujan, Tomáš ; Kropáč, František (referee) ; Vémola, Aleš (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the analysis of the negative effects associated with the operation of a trailer for a personal vehicle with respect to the design speed, technical checks and analysis related legislation. Its work is drawn from the measurement, cooperation with leading Czech production plant trailers Vezeko s.r.o., an organization engaged in the implementation of engineering controls DEKRA Automobil a.s. and available literature, including electronic resources. Results of the work end with proposals for specific measures to minimize the identified adverse effects.
Moving object detection
Škuta, Pavel ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
The aim of this these was devise a automatic system applications, monitoring entering of motors vechitles with in automaric collection of trafic data. Automatic system allows identify of mooving vechitlses in slow speed and searching of the area registration number. Theoretical analysis of possible kind solving problems detection moving vechitles and their localization. From possible solutions was selected solution by camera systems. Was take a pictures of vechitles, whitch is as true of the real scene. On the pictures was testing of algorithm for detecting of area registraction number of vechitles. Designed system is possible to use for automatic monitoring mooving entering vechitles.
Transaxles of modern vehicles
Okáník, František ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on comparing the properties of axles used in modern passenger cars kinematics of wheel suspension and advantages and disadvantages of their construction. The thesis also includes a description of each of the axle component, their construction and function. Part of this thesis is focused on the description of race car axles and their design differences between passenger cars. Final chapter is devoted to several interesting and innovative axle components that are significantly different than standard components.
The present state and development trends of passenger car engines.
Ševčík, Michal ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis is about present situation and tendences of progress in construction of passenger car engine. Here will be shown the rate of different division engines, dependencies power parameters, emission levels CO2, consumption and also tendency in the development to the future. We get the evolutionary tendency from comparing of values obtained from years 2003 and 2008.
Asian automotive industry: the impact on the European market
Benc, Tomáš ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The aim of my thesis is to describe the automotive industries of the most significant countries in the Asian region. The whole thesis is focused on passenger cars. The thesis is focused on the following countries: Japan, South Korea, China and India. Another aim is to analyze the impact of selected auto makers from these countries to the European market. One of the aims is also introduction of the future trends in the Asian automotive industry, related to Europe. The last aim is to determinate when the Chinese automaker will belong to the world's car manufacturers.
