Security analysis of wireless Wi-Fi network
Passinger, Jiří ; Doležel, Radek (referee) ; Bartl, Milan (advisor)
This project is concerned with the security of Wi-Fi network. It defines security and introduces the principles of some security systems which are consequently instructed for its breakthrough, out of which follows the nature of security failures. The main emphasis is put on the current security issue of Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) technology. Consequently, it is concerned with the putting into service of this technology in GNU/Linux distribution OpenWrt on Wi-Fi router TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND. The project is concluded with the suggestions for the correction of the security failure.
Design and implementation of a system for exchange of statistic information on network traffic between access points of WLAN network
Lenk, Peter ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
This thesis explores the possibilities of implementation of methods for data acquisition in wireless access point MikroTik while using virtualized OpenWRT system. First part of the paper contains short introduction into device’s features and extention of the features by virtualizing the operation system. Design and implementation of the scripts for average load of interfaces data acquisition is in the second part of the paper. The next part deals with the transmission of the gathered data and implementation of the proposed programs in C language. The last part of the paper covers the implementation of a complete program to collect, send and receive data with the option of parameters configuration, and automatic acquisition of the configuration.
Data Collection and Communication via Protokol 89
Köhler, Martin ; Bartoš, Pavel (referee) ; Košař, Vlastimil (advisor)
This Bachelor degree thesis deals with Edimax BR-6104KP router modifications developed for purposes of Condata s.r.o. The first two chapters describe the companys wireless modules and their communication protocol. The third chapter deals first with Condatas curerent  communications set up and subsequently with possible alternatives. The following section describes software and hardware modifications of the router under investigation. The last section describes inovative applications and their implementaion. The thesis is concluded with a real life operation evaluation.
Anomaly Detection in IoT Networks
Halaj, Jozef ; Hujňák, Ondřej (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
The goal of the thesis was an analysis of IoT communication protocols, their vulnerabilities and the creation of a suitable anomaly detector. It must be possible to run the detector on routers with the OpenWRT system. To create the final solution, it was necessary to analyze the communication protocols BLE and Z-Wave with a focus on their security and vulnerabilities. Furthermore, it was necessary to analyze the possibilities of anomaly detection, design and implement the detection system. The result is a modular detection system based on the NEMEA framework. The detection system is able to detect re-pairing of BLE devices representing a potential pairing attack. The system allows interception of Z-Wave communication using SDR, detection of Z-Wave network scanning and several attacks on network routing. The system extends the existing detector over IoT statistical data with more detailed statistics with a broader view of the network. The original solution had only Z-Wave statistics with a limited view of the network obtained from the Z-Wave controller. The modular solution of the system provides deployment flexibility and easy system scalability. The functionality of the solution was verified by experiments and a set of automated tests. The system was also successfully tested on a router with OpenWRT and in the real world enviroment. The results of the thesis were used within the SIoT project.

Advanced Roaming in Wi-Fi Networks
Krulich, Filip ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Ilgner, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the issues of Wi-Fi roaming. It describes, how amendments of IEEE 802.11 focused on roaming, namely 802.11r, 802.11k and 802.11v, deal with these issues. Part of this work is designing a topolgy based on OpenWrt system, on which to test roaming before and after using these amendments. After testing, lower roaming times are exhibited, thanks to using these standards. There is also designed an identical topolgy based on Mikrotik devices, on which it’s demonstrated, that Mikrotik devices do not support these standards.
Software Controller for OpenWrt Based Wi-Fi Access Points
Jašíček, Petr ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Ilgner, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to create a web application used for centralized management and configuration of wireless networks on access points running on OpenWrt distribution. The reader is acquainted with common principles of wireless networks including description of existing solutions for their centralized management. After that the thesis introduces the reader to OpenWrt distribution and to a method of its configuration using UCI model. The reader is then introduced to the main technologies used in this thesis. Author further describes architecture, user interface and implementation of the web application. The created web application is platform agnostic and provides easy way to manage and configure access points with OpenWrt distribution.
IoT Based on SoC MT7688
Lužný, Jakub ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the development of an embedded device for Internet of Things based on the MediaTek MT7688A platform. It explores the capabilities of this platform and available System on Module solutions. Based on this findings, a fully functional prototype of such a device is implemented. To demonstratie abilities of the device, a web application is programmed that shows the data received over Wireless M-Bus bus.
Porting Tang to OpenWRT
Oboznámuje čitateľa so štruktúrou šifrovaného diskového oddielu podľa LUKS špecifikácie, na operačných systémoch typu Linux. Práca rozoberá možnosti automatizácie odomykania šifrovaných diskov použitím externého servera, ktorý vstupuje do procesu ako tretia strana. Sú v nej popísané princípy serverov Key Escrow a Tang. Dosiahnutie hlavného cieľa je možné vďaka procesu portovania a krížovej kompilácie na platforme Linux. Práca obsahuje zdokumentovaný postup prispievania zmien a novo vytvorených balíkov pre OpenWrt do príslušných Open Source projektov.
Virtualization on routers
Ráboňová, Jana ; Zvončák, Vojtěch (referee) ; Ilgner, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with router based virtualization in the field of computer networking. The main goal is to present platforms suitable for virtualization and demonstrate practical usage afterwards. There were choosen three virtualization platforms, Mikrotik MetaROUTER, KVM and LXC containers. All of them have been tested for its performance. For MetaROUTER platform has been done modifications to allow deploy the newest version of linux distribution OpenWRT. Further, there were choosen testing scenarios, for which have been shown the possible aplication of virtualization on routers.
