Analýza bezpečnosti jednotlivých druhů mobilních telefonů
KOUTSKÝ, Vojtěch
This bachelor thesis deals with forensic analysis of different kinds of mobile phones. Theoretical part describes two most common mobile operating systems - Android and iOS. Furthermore it contains definition of forensic analysis and digital footprints. Practical part consists of forensic analysis of chosen phones itself and of evaluated results. Based on these results, security risks and their possible solutions were formed.
"Become a detective" - Topic work focused on forensic analysis
Uherčíková, Gabriela ; Šulcová, Renata (advisor) ; Zákostelná, Barbora (referee)
UHERČÍKOVÁ, G. : "Become a detective" (Topic work focused on forensic analysis). Master thesis. Prague, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science, Department of Teaching & Didacties of Chemistry, 2013. This thesis deals with the preparation of a draft project for secondary school students on the theme "Become a detective." This is a complex project that is focused not only on the information of biology and chemistry, but also for forensic analysis. The theoretical part is focused on a general production project, forensic analysis, fingerprints, DNA and qualitative analysis. Theory of this part helps pupils and teachers to understand the problem. The practical part contains the whole project within worksheets to copyright solution for teachers. Worksheets are designed to help students manage the entire project. Materials designed for students are attached to this thesis. The project was tested on 30. 4. 2013 in the laboratory of the Department of Teaching and Didactics of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. The project involved 13 pupils from Gymnasium Omská, Prague, 10.
Use of PCR in forensic genetic analysis.
Dvořáková, Lenka ; Šimková, Halina (advisor) ; Vaněk, Daniel (referee)
Polymerase Chain Reaction or PCR is molecular genetic method used to amplify the DNA fragment. Today it is one of the most popular and successful molecular genetic methods, which is used in many scientific and applied fields. PCR has many modifications derived from the classical scheme of reactions - for example multiplex PCR, inverse PCR, nested PCR, asymmetric PCR, and a lot more. The forensic genetic analysis is mainly used as a PCR amplification method of the studied loci for fragment analysis, as part of the sequencing and then quantified as a real-time PCR. The aim of this paper is to summarize the use of polymerase chain reaction in the forensic practice, and outline the methods in which PCR is used.
Speaker identity indicators in the domain of the temporal modulation of the speech signal
Weingartová, Lenka ; Volín, Jan (advisor) ; Machač, Pavel (referee)
AbstractAbstractAbstractAbstract This diploma thesis aims to contribute to the field of speaker recognition in the domain of temporal changes in the speech signal. After a brief introduction into forensic phonetics, it gives an outline of approaches and factors which help or hinder successful recognition. The focus is then shifted to the temporal structure of speech and approaches to its analysis currently in use. The practical section of this thesis consists of an experiment designed to assess the contribution of certain temporal measures to speaker recognition. The variables used here are %V (the proportion of vocalic intervals within a sentence), ΔV and ΔC (the standard deviation of the duration of vocalic/consonantal intervals within a sentence), VarcoV and VarcoC (the previous variables normalised for average interval duration) and the Pairwise Variability Indices, both vocalic and consonantal, raw and normalised. Beside these, another variable is used to capture the local articulation rate and especially final deceleration in the utterances - LAR (the inverse of the distance between successive midpoints of the vocalic intervals). Whereas the first mentioned variables are not very successful in distinguishing the speakers, LAR seems very well suited for capturing speaker idiosyncrasies, although...
Social Networks Reconstruction of Captured Communication
Dudek, Jindřich ; Kmeť, Martin (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
We live in a modern world surrouded by many forms of information technology. Majority of communication among people is realized through the internet and usage of social networks is everyday matter which leads to reduction of personal communincation and to higher usage of dating sites. However these sites are often a place where potentinal deliquents occure. This thesis deals with reconstruction of captured communication from social networks Lidé.cz and Xchat. Man-in-the-middle attack was used to capture data needed for analysis of communication protocols. Bachelor thesis focuses on identification of communication methods of social networks mentioned above and on analysis of their communication protocols. From these communication protocols are chosen events interesting for forensic analysis. Result of this thesis is an extension which provides support of the communication protocols for application Netfox Detective.
Forensic Analysis in Windows OS
Manda, David ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis is focused on digital forensic analysis in operating system Windows. The purpose of this thesis is to provide a preview to the techniques and procedures forensics analysis. There are disclosed available software tools used during forensic analysis. The part of this thesis is also practical process of forensic analysis and developing forensic report
Forensic Analysis of Communication Tools
Lipovský, Tomáš ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This paper deals with techniques and procedures of forensic analysis with focusing on the internet communication. Part of this work is comparison of existing applications for forensic analysis of communication tools, design and implementation of its own application. Created application enables obtaining and filtration selected computer data for later analysis.
Forensic Analysis of Discs and Metadata under OS Linux
Kocnová, Jitka ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about forensic analysis of memory devices and their metadata. It's part is also an application for Linux system which focuses on restoring data from memory devices using EXT, UDF and ISO 9660 file systems; and also some examples for educational use. The application was written in the C++ language and restores files by searching for their start and end tags. The application was tested on real data and it was also compared with already existing similar applications. As a result, it was found out that the application is successful even if there is no chance to work with informations stored in journal file of EXT file system, that is used by some of the other programs the application was compared with.
Forensic Analysis in Linux OS
Beneš, Martin ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with possibilities of forensic analysis on Linux operating system investigation. Forensic investigation is performed on test installation of Xubuntu using BackTrack distribution and tools included on it. The thesis is divided into chapters, starting with operating system Linux basics, continuing with requirements for investigator and his equipment to tools used for analysis. All discussed tools are available for free, their size vary from simple and small tools to complex frameworks. Theoretical knowledge is applied to real system and usage of tools is shown. This thesis ends with forensic report, which summarizes all findings gathered during investigation.
Analysis of Security Properties in OS Android
Hanyáš, Martin ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis describes operating system Android and its security aspects. Furthermore, the thesis will focus on the forensics analysis of this operating system. The aim is to create forensics application which allows to get sensitive data as well as to make forensic analysis using established tools, and to create background materials for teaching.
