Assessment of Company Financial Situation Using Time Series

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on the use of statistical methods in practice, especially interested in the financial analysis of HELIX Liberec s.r.o. expressed by selected economic indicators in the time series from 2000 to 2010. The work has both theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is important to clarify the terms of the statistical and financial analysis in the practical part will apply the theoretical basis for undertaking an assessment of the situation and outline possible recommendations for improvement.

Software Application for Assessment of Selected Indicators

The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a software application, which with its functionality addresses the needs of the analysed company. This application enables the analysis of selected financial indicators, the development of which is then predicted for the following two years through the use of statistical methods. The thesis consists of the theoretical background needed to comprehend the issues of financial analysis of selected indicators and the used statistical methods. In the concluding part of the thesis, the suggestions and recommendations are formulated in the form of presentation of the software application itself and additional proposals based on the results of the conducted analysis of selected financial indicators and interviews with the company representative.

Economic Development Ventures Funded by Venture Capital

This thesis deals with the external financing of venture capital at selected enterprises in the Czech Republic. In the first chapter, theoretical bases of a venture capital will be issued from several perspectives of different authors and the principles, and corporate financing of venture capital will be subsequently explained. This chapter also describes the significance of venture capital as an alternative source of corporate financing in the Czech Republic in the context of European development and the basis for evaluation of the impact of venture capital on individual companies. In the analytical part, selected companies will be presented, and the results of the financial analysis for each year in the periods before, during the cooperation between the investor and the enterprise, and the venture investor withdrawal. Based on the results of the financial analysis and the analysis of the monitored period, economic development of selected enterprises will be compared, and the evaluation of whether a selected form of financing for the company was chosen appropriately or not, will be done. Eventually, possible ways of dealing with problematic situations will be determined.

Assessing Selected Indicators Using Time Series Analysis

Master's thesis deals with the assessment of selected financial indicators of the production company X in order to evaluate its performance and financial situation. Based on the results of the analyzes for the period 2008 to 2015 and the application of statistical methods of time series analysis and regression analysis, prognosis of future development of monitored indicators are obtained. Subsequently, the prognosis are used for the final formulating of proposals to improve future business efficiency of the company.

Master´s thesis deals with the assessment of selected financial indicators of the company using a statistical methods. The first part is focused on the theoretical description of financial indicators, time series analysis as well as regression and correlation analysis. The practical part contains a statistical analysis of selected indicators with subsequent prediction of indicators for the next two years. The practical part also contains a comparison of selected indicators with the industry average and a correlation analysis to determine the dependence of selected indicators. The last part contains suggestions to improve the situation of the company.
