History and Backup Support for zlomekFS
Wartiak, Rastislav ; Babka, Vlastimil (advisor) ; Obdržálek, David (referee)
zlomekFS is a distributed file system that supports disconnected operation using local cache. During synchronization of local changes it offers easyto-use conflict resolution mechanism. Further improved it became a file system with no specific kernel code. It has therefore a good potential in future public use. As the content of this file system can be updated by many users, keeping history of the changes can be a useful feature. This thesis implements file versioning in zlomekFS, answering the questions such as how to store and access the history. On top of the versioning, the possibility of consistent backup is introduced into the file system. New functionality is derived from the analysis of other file systems with similar features and selection of the most suitable approach for zlomekFS.
Application for Controlled Access to Remote Documents for Microsoft Windows
Aplikácia k serveru pristupuje cez REST API a je testovaná s využitím vytvoreného simulovaného serveru a testovacieho skriptu, napísaných v programovacom jazyku Python.
Transparent Encryption Solution for Endpoint Devices
Analysis of a File System Using the Verifying C Compiler
Škorvaga, David ; Kofroň, Jan (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Title: Analysis of a File System Using the Verifying C Compiler Author: Bc. David Škorvaga Department: Department of Distributed and Dependable Systems Supervisor: RNDr. Jan Kofroň, Ph.D. Abstract: Formal verification is a way to improve reliability of software systems. One approach of formal verification is focused on proving correctness of annotat- ed source code of an established programming language. Verifying C Compiler (VCC) is a verifier for concurrent C that accepts an annotated code in C language and automatically verifies its correctness with respect to the given annotation. There have been successful attempts to verify some critical systems, including the operating system kernel. Another critical part of operating system is its file system. In the thesis, we choose FatFs file system, a simple device-independent implementation of the FAT file system. We specify a part of it using the VCC annotation and successfully verify its correctness. Keywords: Formal Verification, File System, VCC
Repairing FAT32 file system
Konečný, Tomáš ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
This work relates to problematics of FAT32 file system metadata recovery from damaged flash drive or memory card and design of program capable of such recovery and comparision with existing solution for this task.

Various File Systems Used on Different Storage Devices
Bortlová, Pavlína ; Krčma, Martin (referee) ; Lojda, Jakub (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with storing data on various storage devices, namely on the HDD, SSD, flash drives, SD cards. In the teoretical part are discussed principles of functions storage media and data storage structure through various file system. In the practical part was measured read and write speeds selected combinations of file systems (FAT, NTFS, XFS, ext4, btrfs, exFAT, JFFS, F2FS) and storage devices (HDD, SSD, flash drive, sd card).
Low-level data reading from computer data storages
Šalko, Jaroslav ; Ležák, Petr (referee) ; Burda, Karel (advisor)
The following work is topically focusing on data restore of selected memory devices. It could be divided into two theoretical parts and one practical. The first part consist explanation of these memory media’s structure, the mechanism of their storage and also how operating system approaches these data. This relates also to a file system, which is among with its most commonly used types described there as well. In the second theoretical part the study focuses on the storage damage problematics. Various types of damage are shown and I examine how we could approach them. The work concentrates on possibilities which owners of the damaged storage media have with an emphasis on specialized companies. Therefore the study contains brief information of four selected domestic companies which are offering data restore on the Czech market. The complete list of services, which these companies offer to their customers, is shown in the chart found by the end of chapter. The second option in order of solving media damage problems are freeware programmes. On the basis of an internet poll dealing with the topic „best programmes for data restore“, I have chosen three programmes to be examined. The examination consisted of uploading certain files on the media storage which was formated by high level method afterwards. Through these three programmes I tried to restore the lost data. The results are included in a chart found by the end of each sub-chapter. The practical part of my work deals with linux program for data restore DDrescue. My effort consists of developing and creating an user friendly interface with intuitive manipulation of this helpful tool. My goal is thus spreading this program into the public and providing them simple tool for efficient low-level data restore.
The Sport Activity Digital Recorder
