Serbia and Montenegro in the processes on integration into the European Union: Analysis of internal security issues in regions with high ethnic Albanian population

The author will attempt to outline the basic requirements of the European Union on the field of internal security imposed on states seeking membership. These demands, requirements and criteria for EU membership will be compare in the specific case of the regions with high proportion of the Albanian population to the current internal security situation in Montenegro and Serbia, with emphasis on the dynamics of development especially in the last approximately 12 years. Security issues will be discussed broadly in keeping with the Copenhagen School. That is in its broader form the so-called hard security to societal security. On the example of the regions with high proportion of the Albanian population in Serbia and Montenegro in the above-mentioned internal security issues I will try to verify and critically evaluate the basic axioms of the general concept of europeanisation in its transitological meaning. In relation to the surveyed processes of europeanisation I will also focus on the gradual process of loosing the ties between the two state entities, the issue will explore possible impact of formal and informal processes of secession of Montenegro from the common state, the quality and the intensity of ongoing europeanisation in both state entities will be examined.
Comparation of preparedness of Turkey and Croatia to join the European Union

After the Eastern enlargement in the year 2004 and 2007 the European Union is on the threshold of another expansion. Turkey and Croatia are the first countries that received the official candidate status. Turkey is the longest waiting contender for the adoption into the European Union structures; Croatia is the most anticipated candidate to receive the membership. The thesis "Comparison of preparedness of economies of Turkey and Croatia to join the European Union. " aims to compare the economic preparedness of these two countries for European Union full membership and also detects the cons and pros of possible integration. The goal of this thesis is to answer the question whether it is the theory of neo-realism or the theory of neo-functionalism that explains the current accession process of Turkey and Croatia to the European Union. In the past the European integration has overcome many obstacles, has achieved many substantial results and due to its effectiveness has managed to extend the territory of peace, stability and prosperity across the continent. The coming sixth wave of enlargement has a difficult goal but it is also a great challenge that can change again the map of European Union and extend its operation and influence into Asia Minor and the western Balkans.
The Czech EU-Entry in Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and Sudetenpost since December 1997 to June 2004

The czech-german and the czech-austrian relations are influenced by reminiscent elements and controversy in the interpretation of our shared history so far. The theme of the postwar transfer of the sudetengerman minority from the Czechoslowakia figures among the czech-german and czech- austrian "roadblocks" on the front. The postwar Beneš-decrees has influenced the processus of the czech EU-integration eminently. This text follows the EU -integration of the Czech republic and its nuances how are they presented in Sudetendeutsche Zeitung and Sudetenpost. It aims to describe the emphasized aspects of the integration and analyzes the context, in which is this problematics in the years 1997 - 2004 reflected. The analysis of the media agenda of the oficial paper of Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft and Sudetendeutsche Landsmannschaft in Österreich unveils the czech EU-entry from the sudetengerman point of view and tries to contribute the understanding of the "sudetengerman problem". The essay apllies two metodic approaches. The quantitative content analysis examines the frequence of the selected media contents, idientifies their context, neutrality or eventually opinion affection and makes this way the articles in Sudetendeustche Zeitung more transparent. Russian Federation reactions to NATO enlargement

This work analyses reactions of the Russian Federation to NATO enlargement. The first part deals with the main stages of the expansion and evaluate reasons of member countries for entering NATO. The second part examine the reactions and position of the Russian Federation after the collapse of the Soviet Union by presidential term. The main aim of the third part is to analyse current approach of the Russian Federation on the issue of NATO enlargement and suggest possible scenarios for the development of relations between NATO and the Russian Federation.
Development and problems of the European integration

This thesis is principal focused on the question of the future existence and sustainability of the European integration project and its monetary element -- euro-area related to the competitiveness due to consequences of the global financial crisis, present situation and debt difficulties affecting states of Southern Europe, business and financially connected with other European countries. In my considerations and conclusions I also deal with prospective estate in case of various changes of the integration including disintegration, end of the single currency, as well as the factors, that might cause these changes and inflict serious consequences. It is necessary to reveal if the formed situation is acceptable for the member states. The aim of the thesis is to characterize and provide a piece of information about existing progress of the European integration in relation to treaties including competitiveness rating, outline serious issues especially endangering the euro-area and future stability of the whole European Union and analyze its impact, propose solutions and possible scenarios, eventually assess development perspectives and sustainability of the European Union as a complex.
Turkey's accession to the European Union

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate Turkey's readiness to join the European Union on the basis of the Copenhagen political and economic criteria. For this purpose, the thesis is divided into two main parts - political and cultural aspects and economic criteria. The influence of neuralgic points i.e. Kurdish minority and Cyprus issue will be also considered.

First chapter describes creation and development of the European Union. Second chapter focuses on Turkey, its history and present political and economic situation. Third chapter deals with the development of EU-Turkey relations. The last part describes barriers to accession and proposes solutions. The conclusion summarizes the results.

This thesis deals with possibility of future enlargement of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation to Georgia. The first part pursues readiness of Georgia to accede to NATO according to article 10 of The North Atlantic Treaty and The New Strategic Concept of NATO, economic and energy situation in Georgia and development of NATO -- Georgia relations. Other parts describe interests of great power, such as Russia, USA and EU, in region and examine their impact on possible access of Georgia to NATO.
The current development of Turkey's accession process to the European Union

The situation of Turkey's accession to the European Union is a very hot topic that is currently being discussed in the media and in various political debates around the world. This bachelor thesis deals with capturing of the current process from different perspectives using available data and genuine opinions of some Czech citizens. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first part describes Turkey in terms of geographical and historical meanings. Part Two presents the sequence of events preceding the current position in the middle of Turkey's accession talks with the European Union. Some of the major barriers to the final integration are being discussed in the third part and chapter four analyzes the results of a short questionnaire on this issue.
