Representations and transformations of color spaces via quaternions
Tichý, Radek ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Hrdina, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with quaternions for edge detection, particularly on image processing represented in various color spaces. First, the key concepts and the quaternion algebra properties are mentioned, then some of the commonly used color spaces are described and afterwards the thesis dedicates to the basic filters for edge detection in grayscale image. After that there are presented the color filters that use quaternions for color edge detection in RGB color space. Towards the end, these filters are used for color edge detection in HSV color space.
Face detection in image
Kubalová, Eva ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the face detection in the picture, detection methods analysis and application of these methods in daily life. Chosen approach for detection, the segmentation based on the skin color, is realized and tested in MATLAB programming environment. In the thesis three different methods for face detection are described and samples of discovering and highlighting of the face characteristics, eyes and mouth, are presented. In addition, the evaluation of successfulness of particular methods is provided. The last part of the thesis contains simple user interface for the operation of the designed algorithms.
Face detection in image
Koudela, Ondřej ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This work is basic overview over methods of face detection in picture and it's components. The main part of the work is an example of algorithm developed in MATLAB programming language for face detection based on skin color segmentation in different color spaces and their implementation in real time. The basic algorithm is discussed in several steps with shown results for each of color spaces and in the end of the work is evaluation of used methods. This work also includes a simulation of processing real-time detection in MATLAB Simulink.
Techniques Used for Image Smoothing, Blurring and Sharpening
Kubínek, Jiří ; Šilhavá, Jana (referee) ; Venera, Jiří (advisor)
This work is dedicated to methods used for digital image editing. It defines fundamental terms for this work as color space or noise. Above all, it analyses methods allowing image sharpening and blurring. It describes some of the most known algorithms from the theoretical point of view, but also introduces their implementation in C programming language. There are compared according to time complexity. The purpose of this work is to introduce digital image filtering and demonstrate elementary procedures used for their implementation.
Techniques Used for Image Blurring and Sharpening
Lichý, Stanislav ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Venera, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with methods of digital image filtering. First of all, it contains basic notions necessary to understand problems, such as digital image, pixel, color spaces, noise and noise types. Secondly, important algorithms of image sharpening and noise reduction are described. Then, algorithms working principles are explained. Achieved results are analyzed together with a discussion about algorithms suitability and their time complexity. Lastly, selected algorithms are implemented by C++ programming language, using an open source library OpenCV.
Road Surface Detection
Melichar, Jiří ; Motlíček, Petr (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor`s thesis deals with a method for road surface detection in picture and is inspired by work of S. Thrun and H. Dahlkamp. The method works with color models of road, which are adjusted to changing environment. Then these models are used to classify the picture. Output of this is the detected road. The method is thoroughly analyzed, implemented and tested. Test results are discussed and proposals for improvements are presented.
Barevný vzhled dekorativních povrchů
Vik, Michal ; Čejka, Václav ; Viková, Martina ; Maltseva, Anna
The article explains the basic concepts of colorimetry and deals with issues of assessment reflectance quality of special plaster coatings in accordance with current methods of measuring spectral reflectance of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). The results demonstrate that in the case of coatings with high gloss values leads to a linear increase of chroma depending on the lightness values in the case of measuring devices fitted diffusion geometry. Conversely, if the angle-measuring instrument fitted geometry values of specific purity correlated with values of specific brightness. Analysis BRDF, respectively BSRDF function showed that the previously used dichromatic spectral reflectance model must be extended by an additional parameter explaining the correlation between chroma and lightness at the di:8 measurement geometry.
Color space identification system
Hrabčík, Oldřich ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
Work deal with problems spectrometry and color space identification. Is here described possibility metering coloured device spanning by the help of spectrometer and production ICC profile of these measured data.
Gamut mapping algorithms in color management
Svoboda, Jan ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis deals with colors - their representation in digital devices and how to provide the best color preservation accross different devices. In the first part of the work, the knowledge of colors and human vision is briefly summarized. Then color models and color spaces are elaborated, mainly those device independent. Spectrum of colors viewable or printable on a device - the gamut - is different for every device and there's a need of precise reproduction or record of color. That's why the system of color management is described further and especially the gamut mapping approaches and algorithms are mentioned. In the second part of the work, the implementation of how two algorithms of color gamut mapping (HPMINDE, SCLIP) can be implemented in MATLAB is described. In the third and last part of the work, the results of implemented algorithms are presented and discussed. These results are compared to results of commonly used color gamut mapping technique (Adobe Photoshop).
Detection of face parts in the thermographic spectrum
Šujan, Miroslav ; Smékal, Zdeněk (referee) ; Mekyska, Jiří (advisor)
Master´s thesis deals with current problems of face detection and its parts in the infrared thermographic spectrum. Most previously published literature deals with the detection in the visible spectrum, making the thermographic detection range an interesting alternative. The work deals with the processing of image signals, images and faces in thermographic spectrum, selected methods of face detection and its parts and also deals with practical system design for detecting facial parts in this spectrum and its subsequent testing.
