Design of a new ion counter for the nature environment

Subject of this bachelors thesis is an realization of new control board for iontmeter that is developed at UTEE. Iontmeter must be capable of fully autonomous measure in outside contitions. That means it has to be able to run on batery for a long time and has to be to resist outside weather conditions. Measured data will be saved on an SD card and also sent using GSM network to the IoT server.
Ambulatory ECG Holter Monitor

The thesis deals with design of the device for monitoring four signals from the probes for scanning ECG, PPG and heart pressure. The thesis is mainly focused on hardware design of the device and the most important part is the selection of the storage media to which will be the data recorded and the selection of the microprocessor which has to be able to meet the requirements of the device. For the data recording is used SD card and the ARM based MCU was selected from the AT91SAM7S series. This thesis also deals with the software design for MCU which is needed to launch the device and with design of PC applications used for setting the device and for downloading the measured data. At the end there are presented results of the constructed device.

Master’s thesis deals with a design and a realization of multifunction board computer for motorcycles. The goal of the device is measuring speed, rotation speed of engine, temperature of ambient, temperature of engine, temperature in intake including signalization of overvoltage and hightemperature. The device is completed by above standard function such as measuring titl of motorcycle, climbing of route, route recording and data transmission to the computer. The thesis includes a complete solution of hardware and software part of the device.
River mionitoring system with GSM communication

This master thesis is dedicated to system of water monitoring for use of alternative source power supply and GSM communication. The thesis carried out research on the possibilities to take measurements on watercourses, also detailed research of photovoltaic panel, available accumulators and their charging and a synopsis of similar systems. Furthermore, the master thesis also captures design and implementation datalogger device type with possibility to send measured data to the website.

Target platform of library is a development board with Kinetis K60 microcontroller by Freescale Semiconductors. The library implements SD host controller driver, which is embedded in microcontroller. Interface of the library must be easy to use. Functionality is demonstrated by sample application for communication with SD card.

The bachelor thesis deals with storing data on various storage devices, namely on the HDD, SSD, flash drives, SD cards. In the teoretical part are discussed principles of functions storage media and data storage structure through various file system. In the practical part was measured read and write speeds selected combinations of file systems (FAT, NTFS, XFS, ext4, btrfs, exFAT, JFFS, F2FS) and storage devices (HDD, SSD, flash drive, sd card).
HP 3000 Minicomputer Output Simulator

This thesis shows the procedure of designing an embedded device that simulates the outputs of the HP 3000 minicomputer. The simulation is based on writing characters to the terminal and controlling the indicators of the minicomputer. Instructions of the simulation process are read from an SD card with the FAT32 file system. The result is a device that can be easily used to revive HP 3000 minicomputer or minicomputers with an interface similar to it.
Datalogger

This thesis deals with the making of a datalogger, which saves the data from differential pressure sensors placed on a building shell. These sensors measure negative pressure from the airflow around the building. The first part of the thesis includes market research of available dataloggers, industrial modules suitable for this application and appropriate differential pressure sensors. The device is assembled and programmed. Testing in real conditions on a horizontal roof with tiles is performed. The last part discusses programming and data processing, using script in Matlab software.
Small CNC cutting machine

This bachelor thesis deals with design and realization of a large format 2D CNC machine for cutting thin soft materials, especially the cardboard. In the first chapter I describe the available solutions on the market, their properties and parameters, including the tools. In the second chapter I create a design of the mechanical construction. The emphasis is on a simple modular structure using V-slot aluminum profiles. The third chapter describes the design of control electronics, where the main role has stepper motor driver with chip TB6600HG and microcontroller ARM Cortex-M7 from Microchip, where the main program is running. The final device can read data from SD card and perform an automatic cutting process without complicated user operations.
Design of device for voltage monitoring in the electrical network

This thesis is about development of a device for monitoring and logging RMS value of voltage in main electrical network. Thesis consists of choosing the right electrical components, prototype testing , designing a printed cirquit board (PCB) and making a program code. We can divide the assigment to 3 major tasks , which are measured values data logging on SD card, printing of measured values on web server and transfering measured values through USB port.
