This master´s thesis deals with risk management associated with university hockey team VUT Cavaliers Brno. Firstly, in the theoretical part of the thesis, there are described the basic concepts related to risk management. Secondly, in the practical part of the thesis, there are provided analyses of possible risks for the internal and external aspects of the hockey team. Their aim is to provide a comprehensive overview. Finally, there are analysed possible risks, asses their magnitude, and propose measures that mitigate the risk.

Preparing the company for the introduction of compliance for NIS2

The thesis addresses the issue of the newly emerging European NIS2 directive, which aims to increase cyber security in an organisation. The intention of the thesis is to implement compliance with the NIS2 directive into society. In the introductory chapter, the objectives of the thesis will be presented, followed by a description of the theoretical background and then an analysis of the current state of the project. The final chapter is devoted to the proposed solution of creating a risk analysis and the subsequent implementation of the proposal in the company.

Application of "SIL" integrated circuits for pressure vessel filling

The thesis focuses on the application of process safety according to SIL for pressure vessel filling in the energy industry specifically in a petrochemical plant for oil processing. The thesis includes a brief research of IEC 61511 and IEC 61508 standards that are used here, definition of pressure vessel, SIL analysis procedures, HAZOP hazard and operability study, process simulation in TIA portal and developed an application for error generation in C# using S7.Net library. The application generates faults that may commonly occur in operation and the process simulation responds in a safe manner. A HAZOP and SIL analysis of the process was performed in collaboration with McDermott and the results were summarized. Subsequently, a process simulation with applied protection was created.

Evaluation of the investment plan and its expected impact on the company's financial health

The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of an investment project and its possible impacts in the matter of a construction of a new multipurpose building for a specific company. The thesis is divided into three main parts. A theoretical part, which provides informational background in the areas of investments and their evaluation, an analytical part, which then creates an analysis based on this knowledge for the last part, the design part, in which the planned investment will be assessed based on the chosen methods, along with the expected impacts on the financial health of the aforementioned specific company.

Evaluation of Economic Effectiveness of Investment Project

This thesis deals with the investment project. The subject of the investment project is the construction of a new production hall and the purchase of new manufacturing technologies. The thesis focuses on the characteristics of each part of the feasibility study and detailed analysis of several parts. The thesis also deals with assessing the economic efficiency of the investment by calculating economic indicators. These indicators evaluate the investment plan as suitable or unsuitable for implementation. On the calculation of economic indicators continues probabilistic analysis. The probabilistic analysis is important to determine the level of risk in advance to facilitate investment decisions.

This work focuses on risk management in a company that develops its activities through online marketing. Review of literature defines important terms that correspond to a given topic. Mostly we speak of identification, analysis methods and subsequent elimination of the impact of risks. In the analytical part are identified all possible risks for the company, which was established through external and internal environment of the company. Using lessons learned from the practical part contains recommendations on the elimination of risk.

Risk of stationary sources associated with valuation of environmental damage

The problems with the environmental damage valuation which are caused by the stationary sources belong to the important issues to be solved. Due to the heavy industrial activity in the Czech Republic it is important to pay attention to the possible risks which can emerge from these sources and can impact the environment and the health condition of people. The thesis deals with the analysis of the present state of this problem. The analysis of the risks which come from the specific situation is made on its basis. The goal of this thesis is to propose the general procedure of the valuation of the incurred damage on the environment and the minimization of the risks.

Risk analysis electrically operated machine

This thesis is concerning analysis of risk and solving them with electrically operand machines, specifically by semi-automatic parking apparatus in terms of design and integration of safety-related parts of a control systems. There are requirements for safety equipment according to DIN EN ISO 13849-1 in this thesis.
