Overview of rapid prototyping technology for medicine
Jícha, Martin ; Svoboda, Petr (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is intended to map the current state of technology and the possibility of rapid prototyping in medical use. The first part is focused on the common principle of function of RP technologies. The following section discusses specific technologies essential RP and the level of current applications for medical purposes, including specific examples. Here is an outline of future development of these technologies.
Recycling plastics for 3D printing
Hellebrand, Martin ; Kolář, Ladislav (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
Purpose of this paper is analysis of basic Rapid Prototyping technologies including FDM. Technologies are compared in matter of possible recyclation of used materials. The largest recyclation potential appeared in case of FDM technology. There were conducted analysis of basic materials used in this method. Possible methods for recyclation were described. Finally, there were conducted economical analysis to evaluate viability of recyclation in case of FDM.
Additive technologies and their using when making prototype castings
Čagánek, Radim ; Horenský, Jiří (referee) ; Horáček, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with Rapid Prototyping systems and their uses in foundry. This thesis describes three most significant RP systems, on which is explained principle and distribution of them. The another part of the thesis describes how is RP systems useful in production of sand molds, ceramic shells and permanent mold.
Analysis of the mechanical properties of plastic materials for 3D printing
Jelínek, Jan ; Bártková, Denisa (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
This work will solve the mechanical properties of materials used in the FDM technology.Thetensile and flexuralmechanical properties depending on theprintingparameterswillbetested. Fortestingare used three types of sampleswithdifferentrastersforeachof the tests. The first type of raster is characterized by a fundamentalparameter, whichisoffered by themanufacturer. The second type of raster is characterized by a high number of thin-fiber material and a higherconcentrationof air gaps. The third type of rasterischaracterized by minimalnumberof air gaps and a minimum number of thick-fibers in thecross-sectionalofsample. These typesofsamples will be tested on selected materials. The results of individual tests willbecomparedamongselectedmaterials and types of samples. The aim of this work is to show the dependence of mechanical properties on the type ofprintingstrategy.
Friction components produced by rapid prototyping
Pečenka, Tomáš ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Omasta, Milan (advisor)
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to make an overview of use of additive technology for production of friction components. The first part is concerned on review of additive methods and type of materials. In the second section are situated applications of this technology for fabrication of friction components. The main goal of last part is research in area of tribology of parts manufactured by additive technology.
Production of gears model on FDM printer
Frátrik, Michal ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with an issue of 3D printing of gears. In the first part are concisely summarized processes of 3D printing, selected types of Rapid Prototyping considering the FDM and properties of materials used in this method. The second part deals with a suggestion of gears model based on the gearbox of the kitchen blender. Gearbox was designed in 3D modeling program Autocad inventor 2013 and printed on the Reprap printer Sinuhed. There is techno-economic appreciation of production of the model in conclusion.
Production of the golf club head
Žádník, Martin ; Kaněra, Miloš (referee) ; Jelínek, Radim (advisor)
Focus of this thesis is on choosing of a suitable production process of golf club head and its subsequent production. Investment casting was chosen as a process of production. Model, which is usually wax, was made on FDM 3D printer from PLA material. The casting material was chosen Maraging 200 steel. Two different putters were created and a short survey was conducted. Based on result of the survey the third model was created.
Design and Manufacturing of a Prototypical Assembly of an Inline-four Engine Using Rapid Prototyping Technology
Al-Kheir, Raduan ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem prototypování a tvorbou 3D modelu jako součásti procesu produktového vývoje. Prototypový model motoru je konstruován s využitím parametrické aplikace CATIA v5 a vyroben s použitím aditivní výrobní technologie– metoda Fused Deposition Modeling. Teoretická část práce se věnuje problematice produktového vývoje, aditivní výroby a řadou konstrukčních a funkčních charakteristik motoru. Praktická část práce pak popisuje proces návrhu a výroby prototypového modelu motoru. Práce je ukončena technicko-ekonomickým zhodnocením navržené sestavy.
Production of Preparation Prototype Using Additive Method of Fused Deposition Modelling
Sedláček, Milan ; Kouřil, Karel (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the production of a product using the increasingly popular additive technologies Rapid Prototyping. The theoretical section explained the very rapid prototyping technology and its application in various sectors. There were also mentioned different materials to use for 3D printing and actual printing method. The practical part was focused on the prototype modeling in SolidWorks CAD software and the subsequent production of elements of the 3D printer uPrint, using additive method Fused Deposition Modeling. In the conclusion, there is the evaluation of prototype production and also cost comparison using alternative materials.
