Network virtualization - software defined networks
Veselý, Marek ; Krkoš, Radko (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
The aim of work is a new trend in network architecture, called Software defined networks. Describes function of controller as the main device, which controlling the whole network. Further the communication between switch and controller is here, which controlling protocol OpenFlow. First chapter gently deal with principe of the VLAN networking. Further it is much more oriented with software defined networks, where the main principe is described. Protocol OpenFlow is described in deatail, as his functions are discussed too. There are also advantages and disadvantages and possibility to use this network in university campus.
Simulation of data transmission latency between nodes in IP networks
Balej, Jiří ; Molnár, Karol (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on the delays incurred in data transmitting over IP networks. The top of the paper is devoted to points, where delay is invoked and causes of the latency. For individual sources of delay are are described the parameters that affect the usual size of latency. The next section describes the types of networks and their typical delay. In the paper are also discussed tools for measuring delay and determining the number of intermediate devices. The thesis contains results of measurements delay time in the real network. For these results are listed conclusions about the delay for one intermediate device. There is also said general ratio of crow-fly distance and calculated distance. The last part deals the simulation of delay in the NS2 program. The results of thesis are scripts that shows the relation of delay and the number of switches, routers, and the length of the path.
Future trends of the specific semiconductor components utilization
Chocholáč, Jan ; Kosina, Petr (referee) ; Běťák, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with discrete components such as Multiplexers and Sample-and-Hold. The central objective of this work is to provide a description of how the components work, to outline a survey of their construction design, and to define the relations between the product series. By the help of graphic diagrams, various aspects of difference and comparison related to the manufacturers are specified in order to complement the main analysis.
Switch optimization in converged network
Švec, Adam ; Sobek, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Switch Optimization in a Converged Network thesis discusses the role of the Ethernet switch in the network. It describes differences between the switch and the hub in the network and the impacts on the collision domain size. In the converged network, priority data switching according to their origin and thus the qualitative point of view is also addressed - e-mails, voice services and multimedia will each behave differently. A real element, switch L3 - a switch with services quality support - is mentioned. The tool Matlab - Simulink is briefly described and a functional simplified model of the ethernet switch was created. Furthermore, the topic was used as a theme for a laboratory task in the subject Services of Telecommunication Networks. A model for Simulink and an example of the laboratory protocol for the created task are attached to the thesis.
Design and Configuration of Corporation Network Using Cisco Equipment
Kudláček, Marek ; Vlček, Lukáš (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
This bachelor work is dealing with a proposal and configuration of company network with utilization of equipment by Cisco Systems company. The project includes particular procedures and principles which are essential to realize the proposal of data network. It includes analysis of the current stage and future requirements of the society. The part of the thesis is also my own scenario of network´s proposal.
Implementation VoIP in Company Minerva Boskovice a.s.
Kaucký, Michael ; Cichra, Rostislav (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This dissertation is aimed to project substitution classic telephony network by new IP telephony system for the large company. Dissertation contains useless conditions to attainment this project and recommendation technique for successful implementation of new solution.
Network Infrastructure Design for the Prostějov Labour Office
Slunský, Tomáš ; Koutný, Vladimír (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The thesis concentrates on the network infrastructure problems , its proposal in the civil service area and analyses in detail the present condition of surroundings in the chosen organisation which requirements and needs for the suggested network infrastructure result from subsequently . On the base of the analysis it considers the posibility of realising the network infrastructure which consists in the choice of the suitable technology and the proposal of the computer network structure , including the implementation the solution in the given organisation and the specification of the financing resources.
Automatic configuration of intermediate networking devices used in Cisco academy
Verner, Lukáš ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
his semestral´s thesis deals with proposal and system implementation for automatic configuration of Cisco network devices. This system is called AutoConf and it is intended for distant copying configuration files from eagle-server to the switches and routers in Cisco academy laboratory. It is handled by web pages placed on eagle-server. In this system, user can create new laboratory exercises with configuration files for network devices and then these files could be used for configurations. Informations about done configurations are saved in relation database MySQL. Network devices which will be configured by system AutoConf have to be connected with eagle-server. To setup their connection settings was created decision-making mechanism. If it detects physical connection between network device and eagle-server before network device starts, it will set network device for communication with eagle-server.
An Analysis of Selected Layer 2 Network Attacks
Lomnický, Marek ; Ráb, Jaroslav (referee) ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (advisor)
This MSc Thesis focuses on principles, practical performability and security against four attacks used in contemporary local-area networks: CAM Table Overflow capable of capturing traffic in switched networks, ARP Man-in-the-Middle, whose target is to redirect or modify traffic and against two variants of VLAN Hopping attack allowing a hacker to send and capture data from VLANs he has no access to.
