Proces zrovnoprávňování neheterosexuálních osob v České republice

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to map the ongoing process of obtaining equal rights for non-heterosexual individuals in Czechia. Most of the text is devoted to three main periods of time - the First Czechoslovak Republic, period of the nineties in twentieth century and the last five years as milestones of the researched topic. The main contribution of this writing is a summarizing description of key actors, organizational structures, government interventions and social phenomena that played an important role in the legislative changes in human right settlement of these minorities to the heteronormative majority. The Thesis offers a chronological analysis of changes in the perception of non-heterosexual individuals in this territory from 1918 to the present days with the historical context preceding it. To demonstrate the standpoints of the society the writing also presents sociological surveys related to the topic.

The diploma thesis deals with impacts of globalization on human living in developing and developed communities (countries). The introduction is devoted to the general definition and explanation of the concept of globalization, its history, positive and negative aspects of globalization as well as global problems and risks, but also global ethics and its perspectives. Furthermore, this work is focused on three areas, namely economic, social and ecological. The economic part is devoted to ethical topics in the field of production, global business ethics, the topic of Fair Trade, the global problem of poverty and also developing countries. The third chapter deals with international social work, humanitarian and development aid and non-profit organizations. The last, fourth chapter deals with ecological globalization and the impact of ecological problems on humans. The aim of this work was to point out the processes of globalization, especially economic, social and ecological, which have an impact on the standard of living in developing and developed communities (countries). The means to achieve the goal was studied literature.
The adverse life conditions of single mothers in the Czech Republic and their possible solutions from the perspective of social work

This assessment deals with very discussed topic in the field of social work, women, who raise their children themselves. The term single parent is explained in the introduction part of the assessment followed by terms family functions, incomplete families and their breakdown. This is followed by intorudction of economic impacts, poverty feminisation and women rights. Then the assessment addresses the support of women. The goal of this assessment was to introduce life of single mothers and to find out which economic aspects have an impact on their life standards based on expert resources, literature and conducted survey. To complete the goal, a qualitative survey was used based on half-structured interviews. The results of the survey are examined in the following discusion, then repeated in general at the final stage of the assessment which is supposed show the importance of single parenting in our society and the difficulties single mothers have to face. These difficulties are the hardship of finding an employment, a life balance between work and parenting and caring for children, shortage of pre-school and childcare services, and stigmatisation in the society. This assessment is also dedicated to everyone, who wants to gain a deeper insight in to the single parenting topic and how single mothers live and cope.
Precautionary principle and its role in social work

The bachelor thesis deals with the precautionary principle and tries to find a field of its possible application in the social domain, concretely in the organization Polovina nebe. The author is aware that the precautionary principle is a debated and controversial ethical principle that has its supporters and opponents, whose reservations are expressed. In the introductory part the author deals with the origin of the term and the beginnings of the application of the precautionary principle in the environmental field and its anchoring in the area of law. The theoretical support of the thesis are scientific literary sources, especially from the work of the philosopher Hans Jonas. Furthermore, the author presents her own definition of the precautionary principle for the social area and its possible application to action in the non-profit organization Polovina nebe, which provides social services. It is based on empirical experience and a survey among clients of social services and suggests addressing shortcomings. It recommends regulating the precautionary principle by law for social services so that the principle is aimed at protecting the quality of life of individuals and life itself. It concludes that the precautionary principle undoubtedly has a significance in the field of social work, because the central and highest value of this principle is individual human life whose quality we must protect from harm. Since, often not only the quality of human life is at stake, but also life itself.
Financing and marketing strategy in a non-profit organization

The bachelor thesis deals with the financial and marketing strategy in a selected non profit organization. Firstly, it describes the term non-profit organization, various forms of financing and used marketing strategies, then it is focused on selected non-profit organization. It analysis financing strategies based on provided documents from non-profit organization. Selected non-profit organization provides to the clients many projects, which are funded by the European union. Thesis is focused on these projects and funds.The funding ratio of foreign funds was determined and also financial self- sufficiency. The information was processed and evaluated and based on this, there were given recommendations, which can lead to financial stability and efficiency of selected non-profit organization. The study should bring the greatest benefit to the top management of the selected company and other similar forms of non-profit organizations.
Development of Volunteering in Publick Administration

Volunteering, or helping others willingly with no expectation of reward, is used in many sectors of our society, but it is rarely found in the public administration and government sectors. The "Volunteering in Public Administration" project was intended to encourage the use of volunteering in this area. The idea of this project was to enrich the work of employees in various institutions while helping them gain new knowledge and experience which they can use when working with their clients.
Using subsidies by nonprofit organization

The aim of this thesis is to analyse the usage of subsidies by non-profit organizations. An analysis of publicly available databases with respect to the type of a company as well as means of financing is provided. The thesis is focused on analysing and comparing three specific non-profit organizations in Jindrichuv Hradec and on types and means of financing of those organizations. The goal of the analysis is to find out, whether acquired subsidies were used for the purpose, which was the object of companies applications, moreover the thesis investigates if subsidies were obtained with accordance to the law. Efficiency of each company in acquiring subsidies is compared.
The influence of the volunteer firefighters of leisure village residents in the Region Vysočina

This closing thesis id devoted to the contribution of Czech voluntary fire brigades (VFB) to the free time possibilities of village residents. The thesis tries to find out, if the VFB has an influence on free time spending, in this case what activities or possibilities for the free time it brings. The thesis gives a definition of the voluntary fire brigades, the free time, it is also devoted to the point of country. In the second part of this thesis there is presented a qualitative research which is aimed to the influence of voluntary fire brigades in Vysočina district villages on the resident free time. This part is followed on with a quantitative part to complete results of the qualitative research and to verify extracted information.
The world of mentally challenged people from a different perspective

5 Abstract The main focus of this diploma thesis is the quality of mentally challenged people's life in the Czech Republic. The quality of their life is being analyzed from various perspectives. The thesis begins with legislation which includes individual spheres from where it's clear that this issue isn't in any law nor regulation comprehensive, but it's included only partly. The explanation and classification of retardation is included for better understanding. The main spheres of focus are following: enrollment of mentally challenged people into education including special schools followed by an assertation on the work market, housing options (especially the positive trend of transition from institutional to individual approach), leisure activities. The thesis includes sensitive topics such as sexual life, motherhood (parenthood) or violence against mentally challenged people as well. Special social work-related methods haven been developed for better cooperation between workers and mentally challenged clients. The thesis also aims on the role of non-governmental non- profit corporations which play a significant role in the work with mentally challenged people. Proposal for Improving the Marketing Communication of the Non-Profit Project Handipet Rescue with a Focus On Donor Communication

I set two main goals for my thesis, the first is to describe the possibilities of marketing communication and fundraising regarding the interaction of non-profit organizations with individual donors. The second is to use the gained knowledge to analyze the communication of the non-profit project Handipet Rescue and create a proposal for its improvement. In the theoretical part of my thesis, first, I focus on the way non-profit organizations operate in the Czech Republic in general and then specifically on marketing in the non-profit sector. I describe mainly the usage of marketing in the non-profit sector and the specifics of this sector. Finally, I focus on the current possibilities and practice. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, I summarize the current situation of non-profit organizations and donations in the Czech Republic. The practical part follows. First, I introduce the selected project Handipet Rescue. Second, I continue with analyzing its current situation using the SWOT analysis, PEST analysis and Porter's five forces analysis. Third, I conduct a communication analysis.
