Restaurant and pub Pivní burza is first of its kind on Czech market. The Pub operates on the principle of exchange (organized market), where the price of beer is floating and with increasing demand for one product, price of the other products is changing in real time. Customer can monitor the price developments and realize an order on the touch panel, which is located on the restaurant tables. Thesis is focused on the analysis of the current status of the restaurant, own solution design and suggestions for future improvements.

The first part of the thesis presents the theoretical foundation required for tackling the problem. Following is an analysis of the processes involved in the current operations, pinpointing their problem points. The core part of the thesis focuses on the actual design comprised of a module for person management, booking and invoicing. The result of the work done on the thesis is a fully functional database that meets the requirements of the company.

This master's thesis is focused on knowledge discovery from databases, especially on methods of mining sequential patterns. Individual methods of mining sequential patterns are described in detail. Further, this work deals with extending the platform Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services of new mining algorithms. In the practical part of this thesis, plugins for mining sequential patterns are implemented into MS SQL Server. In the last part, these algorithms are compared on different data sets.

This thesis deals with association rules mining over data warehouses. In the first part the reader will be familiarized with terms like knowledge discovery in databases and data mining. The following part of the work deals with data warehouses. Further the association analysis, the association rules, their types and mining possibilities are described. The architecture of Microsoft SQL Server and its tools for working with data warehouses are presented. The rest of the thesis includes description and analysis of the Star-miner algorithm, design, implementation and testing of the application.

The main objective of this work will be the analysis of BI solution for this company, which deals with the publication of professional journals and the organization of conferences. BI solution should be used by company management. In order to achieve the objective of this work it was necessary to contact the company with IT professionals and employees who have access to the IS company. It was also necessary to consult the requirements for BI solutions for a company with a higher-ranking employees of the company. Thanks to these consultations it was possible to create the skeleton for the analysis of the company and on these grounds the new key indicators were created. To these indicators then new dimensions were added as well. The practical part consists of two parts, namely the analysis of a specific BI solution for the company. The work will include a small sample of BI solution for BI benefits. This solution includes designing the data warehouse, ETL and pilot solution. The contribution of this work is to design BI for publishing (advertising) company. The company is quite specific, so another company for which it would be suitable as well, is difficult to find.
