Geografická perspektiva nejvíce navštěvovaných míst v České republice

The object of this bachelor thesis is to analyse a geographical perspective of the most visited tourist sites in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part focuses on a tourism and its typology, dynamics and especially geography. The practical part of this thesis, using the theory described in the first part, analyses the TOP 10 most visited tourist sites in the Czech Republic, during a given period of time. The final part of this work also describes the situation in the most visited sites in all regions of the Czech Republic. The practical part also focuses on the dynamics and changes of the tourist attractions in their order. Data are processed using files which a contributory organization of the Czech Ministry of Regional Development - Czech Tourism publishes annually.

State, Region and Municipality cooperation in planning and implementation of traffic structures: Case of completion of the D1 Motorway in the Říkovice - Přerov section

This work was focused on the procedure of the state in the traffic construction realization and the intervention of municipalities and regions in this procedure. The process of approving traffic constructions can be divided into five phases, the strategic phase, the conception phase, the land preparation phase, the construction preparation phase and the pre-implementation phase. Each of these phases has certain steps that must be followed. Municipalities and regions can enter the process at several points, the most important of which is the entry into the research study, the EIA process and the territorial proceedings. Municipalities and regions can also influence the warrant approval of traffic constructions with other resources, such as media coverage of the problem, petition events and cooperation with other autonomies. Another goal of the work was to reveal what complications are taking place in approving the completion of the D1 motorway, section 0136 Říkovice - Přerov. I carried out a case study and found out that the completion of the examined section was complicated by a lack of funds, the need to repeat the territorial proceeding with obtaining an exception from the EIA process. Hyperlocal Media in the Czech Republic

The aim of this master's thesis is to introduce hyperlocal media in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part, the topic of hyperlocal media will be presented from the viewpoint of professional and citizen-journalism, user-generated content, participatory culture, role of watchdog and civic engagement. This thesis will also provide a definition and specification of hyperlocal media, circumstance of origin, their position, financial site and their future. Furthermore, another part of this thesis will also introduce some of the external projects, whereas the practical part will carefully examine fourteen hyperlocal media bodies in the Czech Republic; one medium of each region of the Czech Republic respectively. Specifically, the analysis is aimed towards graphical editing and thematical structure of hyperlocal media. The second practical part offers qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews with the creators of the investigated hyperlocal media. The subjects of the interviews are primarily from the point of view of motivation, financial site, position and future of hyperlocal media. Community-supported agriculture in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with community-supported agriculture (CSA) and focuses on the situation in the Czech Republic. The aim of the work is to analyse community-supported agriculture in the Czech Republic and find out, how these forms of it are spread. The theoretical part includes general overview of agriculture not only in the Czech Republic, but also in other countries in the world. The main part focuses on regions of the Czech Republic and their situation in community-supported agriculture. All necessary data are obtained by pilot interviews, email communication with farmers and publicly available databases. The data are evaluated using MS Excel, ArcGis geographic program and descriptive statistics.

Consolidated view of the indebtedness of regions in the Czech Republic

The aim of the thesis is to assess the state and development of indebtedness of territorial self-governing units in the Czech Republic with regard to the sustainability of public finances. The first part of this work is focused on the definition of basic terms related to this issue. The methodology contains the methods and procedures that will be used in the results section. In the result section was calculated the annual growth rate of debt of regions, the ratio of debt to average revenues or debt per capita The result section is divided into 3 parts. The first part deals with the development of debt of the regions of the Czech Republic, including contributory organizations established by them in the years 2003 - 2017. The debt of all regions of the Czech Republic is assessed together, which gives an overall view of the state and dynamics of the debt. The second part analyzes the debt of individual regions in the Czech Republic. The monitored period is 2010 - 2017. In the last part, debt consolidation occurs. Consolidated debt consists of the debt of individual regions of the Czech Republic and the debt of contributory organizations that establish the regions, as well as the debts of commercial corporations that the regions set up. Consolidated debt is assessed for 2013-2017.

Political budget cycle of regional expenditures

Decisions of elected politicians affect all citizens of a given territory without any exception, for the next few years. For that reason, many potential voters try to analyze the former behavior of possible candidates, since they assume the consistency in the previous behavior and decision- making with their performance in the following period. This paper provides a unique disaggregated view of selected items of regional budgets that have not been investigated in connection with the existence of political-budget cycles in existing empirical research yet. The econometric analysis of panel data collected from thirteen regions (due to its specific nature Prague is not considered) over the period 2001-2016 unambiguously confirmed the existence of political-budget cycles at the regional level in the Czech Republic, that is characterized by a significant increase in total current and capital expenditures in the pre- electoral and the electoral years in comparison with the non-electoral years. In accordance with the further hypothesis of the thesis, we observe the significant increase especially in groups of spending that are attractive and easily recognizable to voters. The diploma thesis deals with the management and the indebtedness of the South Moravian Region in 2010-2016. The theoretical part defines the competence of the region, regional authorities, property of the region, region budget, its incomes and expenditures and indebtedness. The analytical part contains the characteristics of the South Moravian Region and the analysis and evaluation of its economy and indebtedness. The last part includes own proposals for managing the indebtedness of the South Moravian Region in the future.
