Germany as a Provider and Receiver of Foreign Direct Investment

The bachelor thesis is aimed at german foreign direct investment from the view of providing and receiving. The first chapter is dedicated to general explanation of foreign direct investment. From the concept up to forms of entry that are important for this topic. The second chapter of the thesis is focused on Germany in the position of a provider and receiver of FDI. There is mentioned development of the territorial and sectoral structure of german FDI with bigger emphasis on the german industry. Next part of this chapter describes the perception of Germany among foreign investors and the system of german investment incentives. The third chapter concerns with the german automotive industry as the most important provider of german FDI. There is mentioned development of FDI in this industry and the last part is a view on the investment of the german automotive industry in China.
Foreign direct investments of Austrian companies in Czech republic

A bachelor thesis deals with foreign direct investments of Austrian companies in Czech Republic -- with the development of their inflow and a state during last years. The recent economic crisis has been also taken into account. Further the work concentrates on activites of Austrian investors in various economic fields of the Czech economy and on the influence of these foreign companies upon our national economy. The research also involves a theoretical part -- definition of the term ,,foreign direct investments" and their typology, rules for realization of the foreign direct investments issued by the European Union and World Trade Organisation and a summary of rules established in order to win investment incentives on the base of the Investment Incentives Act.
Automotive industry and Investment climate in Slovakia

This bachelor thesis focuses on automotive industry in Slovakia and investment climate in this country. In the first part, some basic terms such as foreign direct investment, investment climate and investment incentives are explained. Later these terms are described in the context of the economic structure of the Slovak Republic. In the third chapter, this thesis focuses on development of industry with a special attention to the history of Slovak automotive industry. Fourth chapter explains present situation of the automotive industry; thesis here sompares an amount of produced cars in Slovakia with other countries. This chapter is also focused on the employment in the automotive industry in Slovakia. Last chapter deals with automobile producers in this country;it is aimed to their production, export and social responsibility. Eventually, it also tries to sketch a possible future of the automotive industry in Slovakia.
Investment Incentives in the CR (Case Study of Hyundai)

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic Investment incentives in the Czech Republic. In the first part, the link between investment incentives and foreign direct investment is explained. Then follow general advantages and disadvantages of incentives for the host economy and the description of the system of incentives in the Czech Republic. In the second follow-up part, the structure of incentives from various standpoints is examined (especially territorial, sector and time structure) and the case study of investment incentive granted to Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech s.r.o. is described.
Foreign direct investment and investment incentives realized in Czech republic

This bachelor thesis is thematically focused on foreign direct investments which constitute one of the key factors determining the national economy. It characterizes direct investment inflows into the Czech Republic and development of investment incentives implemented in the Czech Republic in the period from 1998 to 2014. The contribution of this thesis is to determine the theoretical importance of investment incentives for locating investors and confront this theoretical knowledge with development of inflows of foreign investment. Aim of this work is fulfilled by performing statistical testing concentrated on dependence of inflow of FDI on investment promotion. Attention is paid to the evaluation of the system of investment incentives and answering the question whether investment incentives implemented in the Czech Republic are a suitable tool for attracting foreign investors.
Canadian investment in the Czech Republic

The foreign direct investment (FDI)nowadays play an important role in the world economy. Canada is one of the traditional investors in the Czech Republic, therefore this thesis informs in detail about those investment. The aim of my master thesis is analysing the Canadian FDI in the Czech Republic. This thesis should provide its readers with a view of sector structure as well as investment incentives granted to canadian investors. In this paper I also mention the topic of projected gold mining in the Mokrsko area.
The importance of South Korean investments in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in the years 2004 - 2013 (an example of Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors)

The goal of this thesis is to map of the profit and cost of foreign direct investments (FDI) of car producers Hyundai Motor Company in the Czech Republic and KIA Motors Corporation in Slovakia in years 2004 -- 2013. The theoretical part of the work is directed to description and research of approach to foreign direct investment as a means of development, impact on home economy and possible negatives. Among the most significant positives this exercise are the know-how, increased work productivity and improvement of trade balance. Disadvantages on the contrary can be two-speed economy, crowding-out effect, inflation or unjustified state support. The work also compares European investment policy and policy of investment incentives in legislative Framework of the Czech and Slovak Republic. The last part deals with the foreign direct investment of the Hyundai Company at Nošovice and the KIA Corporation at Žilina and their effect on the national economy using statistical analysis (profit, state support, jobs created etc.).
Comparison of the investment environment in The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland

This thesis focuses on the topic of foreign direct investments in the Visegrád Group, members of which are the Czech and Slovak Republics, Hungary and Poland. These four countries are involved in strong competition in attracting FDI. The main purpose of this thesis is to review the investment attractiveness of these countries and provide an overview about the available investment incentives. Therefore, the first part of the paper defines the term of "foreign direct investment"including its types. Subsequently the author provides an overview about the most relevant FDI theories and the factors which determine FDI localization. The second part of the thesis analyses the investment environment of each country, for the purpose of which the following factors were taken in consideration: macroeconomic stability, investment incentives available to potential investors, labor market, transportation infrastructure and tax system. Finally, the last part concludes all finding and revises the relevancy of the theories. The methodology of this thesis is based on the traditionally used methods of economic analysis and in particular the methodology of comparison. Expert technique was used in the form of discussions and consultations with investors and investment consultants focusing on FDI in the region.
Foreign direct investment in the Czech Republic on the example of TPCA

This bachelor thesis proceeds from general definition of foreign direct investment and main effects, that they bring to the host economy to their analysis in Czech Republic. Firstly, it contains a development of FDI in Czech Republic in period 1993-2012 and describes the current territorial, sectorial and regional structure. Secondly, there is an analysis of incentives that can foreign investors receive from the government, their effectiveness, disadvantages and their influence on investor's decisions. In the last part, these effects are demonstrated on the investment of TPCA in Středočeský kraj. In conclusion, thesis evaluates regional and public asset of this investment and the real need of providing investment incentives to attract the investment flow into Czech Republic.
Industrial Area "Nové Pole" in Karvina and it's fate

The topic of the this thesis is the analysis of further action of the companies located in Industrial zone "Karviná -- Nové Pole". There is made an analysis using the criteria of individual companies operating in industrial zone "Nové Pole" which are threatened by expansion of coal mining in the case of breaking the existing limits. The introductory part deals with basic terminology related to industrial zones, different types of zones and legislation associated with their construction. The theoretical part also focuses on support the development of industrial zones and the systém of investment incentives on the Moravian-Silesian Region. Practical part is about the evaluation of current situation of particular companies and the result is that companies will be more or less interested in staying in industrial zone "Nové Pole".
