Analysis of the meteorological dates
Králík, Martin ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to recognize the basics of atmospherical physics, the techniques and measuring instruments used in weather stations and the statistical analysis of three chosen meteorological parameters. Data analysis is made by using graphical display method, which is discussed later on.
Similarity Searching in Network Data
Hud, Jakub ; Krobot, Pavel (referee) ; Wrona, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is interested in analyzing IP flow records. IP flow record contains IP flow metadata of specific network communication such as IP addresses, port numbers, network protocol numbers and other. Main goal is to design and implement metrices to determine similarity of NetFlow records. At the beginning of this thesis is description of how to analyze great amount of data. Next there are shown network monitoring technicies and NetFlow. Other parts of this thesis are dedicated to design and implementation of data analysis using DBSCAN algorithm. Implementation of data analysis application is also part of this thesis. As a result, the application can be used to network scan detection using NetFlow data although the results are not very clear and contain a lot of legitimate communication.
Business Intelligence as Data Analysis Tool for Controlling the Company
Novák, Ondřej ; Hajn, Pavel (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
Designing and creating the finished OLAP solutions within Business Intelligence for an undertaking by the customer's requirements using standard technologies and practices that are designed for this purpose. This work describes the work of the design, creation and deployment of the finished project Business Intelligence solution that allows the customer to perform more accurate analysis of their own data in the context of controlling.
Vibration analysis using a mobile phone accelerometer
Robek, Tomáš ; Huzlík, Rostislav (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the question whether or not measurements of vibrations can be taken with a mobile phone. For that purpose I made an experiment to compare data measured with a mobile phone and data measured with professional gauging equipment. I also focused on finding the most commonly used accelometer in mobile phones as well as on finding and comparing suitable mobile apps for recording vibrations with mobile phones.
Analysis of operation data for purposes of optimization
Slavíček, Martin ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Touš, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysis of operation data for purposes of optimization. The thesis is divided into four chapters. First chapter focuses on present and future development in waste management legislation. It mainly deals with prevention, recycling and disposal of waste. Second chapter more closely describes waste-to-energy process. This chapter also describes the technology of municipal waste incinerator in Liberec, Termizo, a.s. Third chapter starts with description of tools used in design of the models based on operation data. Then the models for individual technological nodes are described. The last part is focused on building a complex model of Termizo using previous results.
Increasing the Effectiveness of Marketing Effort by Experimental Testing Methods
Lorková, Kristína ; Luhan, Jan (referee) ; Chalupský, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis analyses the customer behavior of Kiwi.com, a global online retail company for booking flights and proposes marketing interventions to increase the conversion rates in various customer segments. The effectiveness of new behavioral interventions is tested against current marketing efforts using experimental A/B methods. Additionally, areas for further improvements are explored and a design of future product features and marketing behavioral interventions is proposed.
Risk Management of a Company Using Data Analysis Tools
Halamová, Kateřina ; Sádlík, Libor (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on risk management of a selected company using data analysis tools. The thesis comprehends three main parts. The first part aims at an introduction and presentation of a selected company, and marketing analysis of its surroundings is realized. The second part addresses theoretical issues concerning risk management and data analysis tools. In the third part, financial analysis and evaluation of the possible risks of the company using data analysis tools are realized. Eventually, for the highest risks precautions are proposed.
Least-squares fitting of multivariate data
Hrabec, Pavel ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Tomášek, Petr (advisor)
Thesis sumarizes basic theory required for inference of aproximation using the least squares method and aplicates this method on data obtained from engineering practice. Within thesis were created programs, in MATLAB enviroment, to solve this problem. MATLAB already contains several algorithms, wich are useful for solving this problem. Thesis includes comparsion of properties and test of those algorithms.
Graphics Interface for Data Telemetry of "Formula Student"
Martiček, Juraj ; Milet, Tomáš (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis focuses on creation of complete telemetric system for data collection and tuning of a racing car in Formula Student competition. This system consists of graphical user interface, which is wirelessly connected to device installed on a racing car. Telemetry provides live data view coupled with recording features. Graphical user interface provides tools for data analysis to be used for development, testing, and even racing of a formula made by the Formula Student team.
Knowledge Discovery from Databases with Use of the R Language
Krutý, Peter ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the field of knowledge discovery from databases. Main objective is to research possibilities of R language and its support in this area. Support is researched by experiments using appropriate data sets. More detailed attention is given to the methods of classification, clustering and association rules learning. The output of the thesis is comparison of methods application in R and defining the suitability of using language for knowledge discovery from databases.
