Laboratory exercises explaining network technologies using various simulation instruments
Vaľuš, Dávid ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Bečková, Zuzana (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the preparation of an operating system, a simulation environment and the creation of two laboratory exercises explaining network technologies. In the theoretical part protocols DHCP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, and NAT service are described. The practical part focuses on the installation of ns-3 and GNS3 programmes and their utilization and settings on OS Ubuntu 18.10. Moreover, it deals with the preparation of laboratory exercises created in the simulation programmes mentioned above together with tutorials, self-check questions and HTTP server in the Python programming language.
New laboratory exercises in OMNeT++ simulation enviroment
Petrůj, Jakub ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Langhammer, Lukáš (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis illustrates a draft and creation of two lab exercises in a network simulation environment of OMNeT++ with INET Framework extension on behalf of Communication Technologie course. Initialy, simulated environment itself is defined and, including NED language and its modules, then the process of simulation and analysis of its results are presented and discused. Further more this work describes theoretical network knowledge required to create the simulation and treat its results. The first methodical part of this work compares HTTP, FTP, Telnet and VOIP protocols in simultaneous and non simultaneous running, with increased occurance of errors on line or its complete outage. The second methodical part of this work observes dynamic network configuration using DHCP protocol more in detail. Futhermore, this part studies the question of both non-efective and efective subnetting and handles issues concerning static adressing of network.
Building and use of smaller computer networks
Kyzivát, Marek ; Pinkas, Otakar (advisor) ; Šmejkal, Ivo (referee)
The thesis describes the initial state of the computer network Basic Schools and Kindergartens Ohradní (ZŠMŠ Ohradní) in Prague 4 and then its reconstruction, which I largely contributed. ZŠMŠ Ohradní consists of four pavilions and from one building on the other side of the street. The aim of this study is to assess the initial state of the network and point out the shortcomings that we discovered. We found deficiencies in the operation stress tests, measurements and data cabling overall analysis. Original networks connectivity was 100Mb/s. Together with a colleague, we are network administrators. Furthermore, I am going to introduce a new form of network, which has identified deficiencies improved, by using on newer technologies. I will describe its structure, address allocation, active and passive components, and operated services. New network is capable of 1Gb/s, and its spine is going to be 10Gb/s soon. Benefits of this reconstruction is faster, more stable and more modern network that will facilitate the work of employees of ZŠMŠ Ohradní. To these improvements, I have mainly contributed by measurements. I participated in the design and implementation of new form of data network. I collaborated with fellow Poc to the configuration of active elements and network services in reconstructed network.
VoIP Performance Management and Optimization
Holubovský, Petr ; Tyrychtr, Jan (advisor) ; David, David (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the VoIP technology optimization and performance management. The diploma thesis presents the theoretical basis of IP telephony and measurement of its quality. The thesis primarily deals with practical measurements of VoIP calls quality. Asterisk softswitch, various types of IP phones and simulated degradation of signal using Linux software router are used for measurements. Procedural diagram of VoIP technology real deployment is designed based on these measurements.
Automation of MitM Attack on WiFi Networks
Vondráček, Martin ; Lichtner, Ondrej (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
lmprovement Proposal of Network Services Model for Techniserv IT s.r.o. company
Lavický, Jindřich ; Hanzlík, Jiří (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes a proposal of network services model for Techniserv IT s.r.o. company. It analyses the present state of IT infrastructure in organization and suggests appropriate and economical solutions. It describes constituent areas of network services and their advantages. In detail, it focuses on the area of network services implementation, which is crucial for this type of work. At the end, it proposes solutions and evaluates their assets for a company.
Installation, configuration and testing of server services DHCP, FTP, VPN, NAT and SNMP in IPv4 and IPv6 environments
Brázda, Libor ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on selecting server services such as FTP, DHCP, VPN, NAT and SNMP and their implementation in operating system Windows Server 2008 R2 and linux distribution Debian. The theoretical part analyzes the problems of TCP/IP protocol including addressing in IPv4 and IPv6 environments. In next chapters, thesis contains detailed descriptions of individual services, their principles, security, etc. The last part is focused on the description of the laboratory task, their activities and contribution to student and also software used in the implementation tasks. The result of laboratory work is created job on the configuration of individual services in both operating systems. Tasks are made for students without previous knowledge of the problem, so they can successfully configure and test these tasks.
Hotelnet Information System
Šturala, Aleš ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Masopust, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of my work was to create a system administered over the web interface, where administrators may control users and computers in a small-area network (max. 250 computers). The system is modular to meet requirements of different networks and is administered over the web interface. A part of the whole system is created by PHP scripts for a Linux router, which are connected to the database and can set the router. Users have assigned rights to access to different parts of the system. The system was developed in common technologies like database system PostgreSQL, script language PHP, and mark-up language HTML.
System for Remote Monitoring of Electrical Values
Kvasnička, Pavel ; Kněžík, Jan (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The work deals with the measurement of electrical quantities, distribution of data across the Ethernet network into the Internet and intelligent selection of the required values to be transmitted and stored on a central node. The work describes the communication protocols in scale that is necessary for implementation, discussed the requirements for computational resources and microcontroller control is proposed by flowcharts. Attached are source codes in C programming language for microcontroller and PHP scripts for storing and presenting data on Web server.
Automatic configuration of intermediate networking devices used in Cisco academy
Verner, Lukáš ; Jeřábek, Jan (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
his semestral´s thesis deals with proposal and system implementation for automatic configuration of Cisco network devices. This system is called AutoConf and it is intended for distant copying configuration files from eagle-server to the switches and routers in Cisco academy laboratory. It is handled by web pages placed on eagle-server. In this system, user can create new laboratory exercises with configuration files for network devices and then these files could be used for configurations. Informations about done configurations are saved in relation database MySQL. Network devices which will be configured by system AutoConf have to be connected with eagle-server. To setup their connection settings was created decision-making mechanism. If it detects physical connection between network device and eagle-server before network device starts, it will set network device for communication with eagle-server.
