Environmental solution of the nursing home building in Pohořelice

The main task of the thesis is to design a nearly zero energy building of nursing home building in Pohořelice. The building consists of three above-ground floors with flat roof. The first floor is partly below ground and contains eight studios. The second and third floor contains in total twenty residental units made out of sixteen studios and four one bedroom flats. The vertical load-bearing structures are designed from ceramic blocks. The horizontal load-bearing structures are designed from the cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The building envelope is insulated with mineral wool. The second part of the master project focuses on designing HVAC, lighting and sewage system. The building utilizes an air to water heat pump as the main heating and cooling energy source. The summer domestic water heating utilizes auxiliary source by thermal panels. The third part of the master project is to create two different solutions. The aim is to improve energy performance certificate depending on overall comfort of living. Evaluating their impact on energy efficiency and overall comfort compared to projected solution. The project was carried out in the AutoCAD, DEKSOFT, Excel and Word.
A Great House for a Small Town

Topic of this thesis is revitalisation of former joiner-specialised high school areal in Rousínov u Vyškova. Areal is located on flat grounds on Tyršova street in cadastral area of Rousínov u Vyškova near Sušil square, central and important area of town. In the areal, 6 building are located, some of which are to be demolished a replaced with new ones, some rebuild for different purspose. The main building of the elementary school and the school gym will be maintained without changes. Building of former girls boarding school will be arranged to elementary school utilization. Boys boarding school building will be rebuild to a nursing home. Building of joiner-specialised high school will be demolished and replaced with hotel, library and small brewery. Building of school canteen will be demolished except for its basement level, which will be kept as repository. Newly created space of ground will create a small plaza between the elemetary school, center of free time and the nursing home. Fences around the area will be removed so that whole area can be accessed by public a will provide its visitors a nice place stay.
Multidisciplinary cooperation in nursing homes

7 This diploma thesis deals with the topic of multidisciplinary cooperation in nursing homes. At the beginning of the work, a chapter on nursing service is prepared, where everything related to i tis described. From the nursing service, the text of the thesis moves to the group of seniors, old age and aging, where all important concepts are defined. The next chapter deals with the quality standards of social services, and the following, the fourth, shows what other social services can be used by people belonging to the PS target group. In the fifth chapter, the thesis deals with multidisciplinary cooperation, the composition of the multidisciplinary team and the experts who can be part of the team. The is also a code of ethics. Chaptet six describes two facilities, specifically two nursing gomes, where the research was conducted. The chapter is supplemented by price lists in Annexes 3 and 4. The penultimate chapter, entitled Long- term care, i salso important for this work, as this topic is again closely related to nursing services and, above all, multidisciplinary teams and cooperation between individua members. Nursing home in Řečkovice

The bachelor thesis is a continuation of the project developed in the course AG032 Architectural Design Studio. The subject of the thesis is the design of a nursing home in Brno, Řečkovice. The area is located near Tereza Nováková Street. Surrounding buildings consist mainly of prefabricated and family houses, the land is adjacent to a kindergarten. The proposal is connected to the construction of apartment buildings with a library and a community hall, which is planned right next to Tereza Nováková Street. The current site is currently unused and densely overgrown with vegetation. The terrain slopes gently towards the south-west. The proposed building consists of five floors aboveground and one underground floor. The ground floor of the building houses a medical facility for the residents of the building as well as for the public. The nursing service has its own facilities in the building. Residents are provided with hairdressing services and pedicure. In the living areas, there are communal areas for the residents. In total, there are 19 residential units in the building, there are designed 1+KK, 2+KK and there are also apartments for the disabled. On the roof there is a residence terrace, the remaining roof areas are designed as green. There is a private garden adjacent to the building for recreation. The design emphasised the quality of life of the inhabitants of the house, while at the same time supporting their social contacts so that they would not feel isolated even in their old age. The aim of the design was to introduce as much greenery as possible into the building in the form of flowerbeds on the balconies, which break up the austerity of the façade, and a flowerbed cornice above the first floor, which the design seeks to add greenery to the urban environment of the estate.
Death of client from social worker's perspective especially in adult day care centers and the impact of client's death on social worker

This bachelor's thesis deals with death of a client in a care home and psychical impact of client's death on social care assistant. In the first chapter is described history of care service in the Czech republic, perception of death since 19th century and perception of death in nowdays in comparison to the past. In the following chapters this bachelor's thesis concerns groaning, five phases of grief, death of a client in a care home and psychical workload of social care assistants. The research focuses on emotions of social care assistants after client's death. The research uses a qualitative method and the main aim was to describe emotion of social care assistants after client's death.
Retirement home i Dolní Kounice

This diploma theses deals with making of desing documentation for a nursing home. The building is designed as a detached house situated in Dolní Kounice town and has 4 above-ground floors. Main entrance is situated in the northern part of the building. There are situated offices, technical utilities, a doctor’s office, shop, hairdresser’s or rehabilitation in the first floor. In higher floors there are situated the apartments for old people. There will be total of 15 apartments. The walls are made of clay masonry that are 300 mm thick. The walls are insulated with mineral wool that is 200 mm thick. Ceilings will be made of prestressed concrete panels. There will be pitched girder roof, 2 roof terraces, flat green roof and access galleries.

The live of users in nursing homes and in the home environment

The aim of this diploma thesis is to track the subjective reasons clients move to a nursing home. The theoretical part is focused on social work with the elderly, the legislative framework of the care service and the offer of assistance for the elderly. One of the chapters is devoted to the needs of old age. Part of the work is devoted to proper communication with the elderly. The end of the theoretical part is devoted to the importance of one's family in the care of the elderly and changes of one's home (moving). A qualitative research strategy was used in the diploma thesis. The research was a field research. The method of data collection was a semi-structured interview. The data were processed using qualitative content analysis and the creation of biographies of research participants. Three groups of respondents from the entire South Bohemian Region took part in the research. The first group consisted of elderly people who live in a home environment and use Home health care. The second group consisted of elderly people who live in a nursing home. The research also included a third group - employees in the care area. The most common reasons for moving to a nursing home were deteriorating health, musculoskeletal pain, frequent pain and falls. Another often mentioned reason was the fear that they could no longer take care of themselves due to reduced self-sufficiency. Most of the elderly people interviewed relied on the help of family and friends. Among the often mentioned reasons was the death of one's spouse and the fact that the family no longer wants or isn't able take care of them. From the point of view of employees, the reason may also be the solution of a housing and financial problem. Only one respondent was strongly dissatisfied with living in a nursing home. The results of the research can serve as feedback and information material for employees of care service.
Business plan for the reconstruction of the brownfield

The diploma thesis on the creation of a business plan for the reconstruction of a brownfield for a nursing home in the village of Markvartice. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theory, where the terms such as business, enterprise and entrepreneur are gradually analyzed. The main theoretical part consists of an analysis of the business plan structure. The practical part consists of a complete business plan, where analysis is used to map the competition and the market. Specifically, the method is SWOT and Porter. Furthermore, in the practical part there is an evaluation of a questionnaire survey, which is focused on seniors, whether they are interested in a nursing home. At the end of the work are summarized the results and analyzed home financing, which was calculated in the creation of business plan and proposed measures if not approved for home reconstruction subsidies.
Nursing home, Zlín

The subject of the thesis is the development of project documentation for the construction of a nursing home in Zlín for clients who are unable to take care of themselves and need full day care. The nursing home is designed to stand alone in sloping terrain. The slope is used and the entrance to the first above-ground level is at the level of the modified terrain from Broučkova street and the entrance to the basement is also from the modified terrain. The building is designed with one underground floor and five upper floors. The circumferential and internal supporting masonry is designed from ceramic cut cinder blocks on the upper floors. Lost shuttering is used on the perimeter and vertical support structures, in the basement. Elevator shafts, ceiling structures and staircases are designed from monolithic reinforced concrete structures. The roof is an extensive green roof. The object is based on reinforced concrete strips. The object is insulated with the ETICS.
