Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat subjektivní důvody uživatelů pro stěhování do domova s pečovatelskou službou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na sociální práci se seniory, legislativní rámec pečovatelské služby a nabídku pomoci pro seniory. Jedna kapitola je věnována potřebám ve stáří. Část práce je věnována správné komunikaci se staršími. Konec teoretické části je věnován důležitému významu rodiny v péči o seniora a změnám domova. V diplomové práci byla zvolena kvalitativní výzkumná strategie. Výzkum byl terénní. Metodou získávání dat byl polostrukturovaný rozhovor. Data byla zpracována pomocí kvalitativní obsahové analýzy a tvorbou biografií účastníků výzkumu. Výzkumu se účastnily tři skupiny informantů z celého Jihočeského kraje. První skupinu tvořili senioři, kteří žijí v domácím prostředí a využívají terénní pečovatelské služby. Druhou skupinu tvořili senioři, kteří žijí v domě s pečovatelskou službou. Do výzkumu byla zahrnuta i třetí skupina - zaměstnanci v pečovatelské oblasti. Jako nejčastější důvod stěhování se do DPS účastníci uváděli zhoršení zdravotního stavu, bolesti pohybového aparátu, časté bolesti a pády. Dalším často zmiňovaným byl i strach, že se o sebe již nedokážou postarat sami z důvodu snížené soběstačnosti. Většina dotázaných seniorů se spoléhala na pomoc rodiny a přátel. Mezi často zmiňovaným důvodem bylo i úmrtí manžela. Dalším důvodem byla i neochota, nebo nemožnost rodiny pokračovat v péči. Z pohledu zaměstnanců může být důvodem řešení bytového a existenčního problému. Pouze jedna seniorka byla velice nespokojená s bydlením v DPS. Výsledky práce mohou posloužit jako zpětná vazba a informační materiál pro zaměstnance pečovatelské služby. The aim of this diploma thesis is to track the subjective reasons clients move to a nursing home. The theoretical part is focused on social work with the elderly, the legislative framework of the care service and the offer of assistance for the elderly. One of the chapters is devoted to the needs of old age. Part of the work is devoted to proper communication with the elderly. The end of the theoretical part is devoted to the importance of one's family in the care of the elderly and changes of one's home (moving). A qualitative research strategy was used in the diploma thesis. The research was a field research. The method of data collection was a semi-structured interview. The data were processed using qualitative content analysis and the creation of biographies of research participants. Three groups of respondents from the entire South Bohemian Region took part in the research. The first group consisted of elderly people who live in a home environment and use Home health care. The second group consisted of elderly people who live in a nursing home. The research also included a third group - employees in the care area. The most common reasons for moving to a nursing home were deteriorating health, musculoskeletal pain, frequent pain and falls. Another often mentioned reason was the fear that they could no longer take care of themselves due to reduced self-sufficiency. Most of the elderly people interviewed relied on the help of family and friends. Among the often mentioned reasons was the death of one's spouse and the fact that the family no longer wants or isn't able take care of them. From the point of view of employees, the reason may also be the solution of a housing and financial problem. Only one respondent was strongly dissatisfied with living in a nursing home. The results of the research can serve as feedback and information material for employees of care service.
