Every company which wants to be successful has to face a question of successful investment and increase of financial resources. Therefore, it is necessary to re-search and deal with investment opportunities. The aim of this thesis is to define and evaluate indicators of efficiency of investment into the multifunctional object in the area of Zázrivá-Terchová in Slovakia. The thesis describes the actual division of investments and the sources of funding In the first part. Further, it deals with a cycle of the project and describes its particular phases. The thesis also examines technical-economic study that is discussed according to its chapters. It focuses on the part Financial analysis and estimate of investment in which the description of a process of defining of specific economic indicators and their assessment is provided. The practical part begins with defining of investment expenses and continues with operational expenses and incomes. The next part discusses calculation of Cash Flow and particular indicators of the project. The conclusion evaluates the project and its efficiency.
Construction Order Preparation and Management

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe arrangement and management of a construction contract from a contractor´s view. In the theoretical part, we clear up important terms and processes, which are then applied in the practical part, where we discuss the real construction contract. Described here are an organization proces of a construction contract in a specific construction company and its implementation. The output of the thesis is the processed documents for managing the construction contract.
Financial Analysis and Economic Valuation of Investment Project
Špačková, Sandra ; Kocourková, Gabriela (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the financial and economic analysis of the investment project. In the theoretical part, I focus on the life cycle of a project, feasibility study, project financing and economic analysis of private investment projects, as well as methods applicable for evaluation of economic efficiency. The benefits of the practical part will specifically identify funding options for the draft in question, to assess the economic efficiency and to offer specific investment recommendation.
Study of life cycle of the accumulators
Babieska, Lukáš ; Binar, Tomáš (referee) ; Kazda, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with monitoring the life cycle of a lithium-ion battery. The theoretical part describes the history and development of electrochemical cells. Lithium-ion batteries are a separate chapter. There are described their principles, the most used materials for the production of negative and positive electrodes, loading characteristics and the influence of temperature. In the practical part, the influence of temperature on changes of internal impedance, cell capacity and efficiency of energy supply during the battery life cycle is monitored.
Line construction within the life cycle from the perspective of BIM
Vacková, Veronika ; Výskala, Miloslav (referee) ; Aigel, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the work was the usage of the Building Information Modelling system to ensure the complete building-up, including the working part of the line constructions. In the first part of my thesis I was dealing with the costs of the total life of the line construction, the line construction life-cycle, with the difference between the Building Information Modelling model and traditional projecting, with the participators participants of the Building Information Modelling model and which levels in the Building Information Modelling exist. In the practical part I was dealing with two levels of the Building Information Modelling designing, in which I set the total price of the building researched and then I was comparing them. In the final chapter of the thesis working expenses were set which are involved in the expenses of the total life.
Project Evaluation and Design of Project Management Methodology
Pluhař, Ondřej ; Matyáš, Daniel (referee) ; Kříž, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on project management – managing of software development activities. It explains a basic terms of given issue and it also deals with advantages and disadvantages of some known practices and methods which are often followed when developing software. The practical part includes an analysis and evaluation of concrete project. This project is then the base for designing an optimization of software development methodology. Designed optimization will be able to help manage similar projects in future.
Study of the ecological impact of production, operation and disposal of various types of cars
Los, Marek ; Máca, Josef (referee) ; Jaššo, Kamil (advisor)
The life cycle of a car includes three basic phases: production, operation and end-of-life. All these phases can potentially produce emissions that have a direct impact on the environment. However, different types of cars may produce different amounts of emissions during the life cycle phases, depending not only on the type of propulsion but also on local factors such as the emission factor of the energy mix. The results of the research showed that the potential environmental benefit of lower GHG emissions of battery electric vehicles depends primarily on the emission factor of the energy mix. In countries such as Poland, where the majority of electricity produced is generated by burning coal and lignite, the life cycle environmental performance of battery cars will be higher than that of combustion cars. Conversely, in countries with a favourable energy mix, such as Sweden, the potential to reduce transport emissions by replacing the existing car fleet with electric cars is significant. Furthermore, four reference vehicles are proposed for which life cycle GHG emissions are calculated using the proposed calculation method using local emission factors.
Management of the Construction Project
Filipčíková, Petra ; Hanzlíček,, Jindřich (referee) ; Waldhans, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with managing the construction project. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of the project life cycle, scheduling and its tools. The second part is the practical part, deals with the application of project management firm ZemiBau Ltd. in particular organizational structure construction, responsibility matrix, selection of subcontractors and time management through the construction schedule. The Company made several major changes before completion. In conclusion of this section are designed to define schedules and planning in various software and subsequent evaluation.
Feasibilty Study of Public Construction Projects
Holaková, Veronika ; Bremová, Martina (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
This work has been written to elucidate the problems of feasibility study, as valuating document of public projects and its creating in practice. In the theoretical part I have explained the public projects, possibility of their financing as well as one of the cost methods of their evaluation, e.g. cost benefit analysis. I have described the application eCBA, which is nowadays compulsory annex to application for subsidies from the structural sources in many cohesion regions. A content of the practical part is creating of the feasibility study for the construction project which has already been done. Not only its traditional forms but its development in application eCBA too. These outputs fully replace feasibility study just in cohesion region Southeast.
The Life Cycle of Solar Power, Efficiency and Return
Kubín, David ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Macháček, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis named “The Life Cycle of Solar Power, Efficiency and Return” is divided into seven chapters and focuses on the utilization of solar radiation in photovoltaic power stations and solar thermal power stations. The first chapter of this thesis familiarizes the reader with issues concerning renewable resources of energy and presents an overview of the focus of each chapter. The following second chapter is occupied with a topical research of renewable resources of energy utilization in Europe. Further the author presents a brief glance back at the past of solar energy utilization and also a prediction of future solar energy utilization in the Czech Republic. The chapter named “Specification and parameterization of individual technologies” contains an overview of today’s most utilized photovoltaic cells and panels together with an overview of utilized solar collectors and solar thermal power stations. In the following chapter named “Concretization of typical applications and realizations of photovoltaic and solar thermal power stations and determination of all related parameters” the author describes further components of photovoltaic and solar thermal systems. The economical aspect of photovoltaic component production together with an overview of utilized photovoltaic technologies is presented in this chapter. The problem of recycling photovoltaic applications and the current legislative situation regarding this issue in the Czech Republic is also outlined within this chapter. In the fifth chapter of this master’s thesis the author presents mathematical models of a photovoltaic and a solar thermal power station with the focus on economic aspects of investment efficiency assessment. Within this master’s thesis a simulation program in the computational software program Mathematica was created by the author. This program allows a calculation of economic efficiency and return of photovoltaic power station investments. The results of executed simulations are presented in the sixth chapter of this thesis. The last chapter contains an appraisal and summary of results achieved by the author of this thesis.
