Analysis of manager´s leadership approach in selected company

The main aim of this work is to analyze manager´s leadership approach in the selected company and determine recommendations to improve the current state. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. Theoretical part is focused on defining terms related to leadership and management, approaches to leadership, methods of team leadership and style of employees´ manners. The second part of the thesis is focused on analysis of leadership approach of selected manager. Based on observation, survey and structured interviews results were evaluated and recommendations to improve the current state were determined.

Effective non-verbal communication, communication through body language, is one of the fundamental prerequisites for successful manager's performance. The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the importance of nonverbal communication in human resource management and, on the example of management style and nonverbal communication of two the most successful managers in the world of information and communication technologies, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, to formulate basic recommendations for effective nonverbal communication of current and future managers. The bachelor thesis is worked out with the help of using specialized literature and internet resources, particularly video recordings of public performances of Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are available on youtube.com.
Analyse of company culture of Dřevozpracující družstvo

Master thesis is concerned on analyse of company culture of Dřevozrpacující družstvo Lukavec. Company culture of DDL has been tested from three levels - level of basic values, level of standards and level of symbols. For research have been used social audits and intern materials of DDL, and my own research as well. The conclusion of thesis should be very usefull for management of the company like a managing material containing and stressing some elements, which influece the company culture of DDL.
Mid-level manager's information need

This work should define an information need of a mid-level manager in a small company. An important aspect and the assumption is, that information need relies not only on existing information resources in the company, but also on not yet directly defined topics, such as people management, social behavior, and methods of soft systems methodology of problem solving and team working. So this work isn't only about the information need, but also about topics mentioned above.

Organically growing companies usually reach a point when people management starts to be challenging up to such scale that influences their further development. This master thesis in its first part covers basic topics essential for people management, especially communication, work motivation, job design and leadership. In the second part of this work is focus put on empiric research of a concrete situation inside the selected company, analyses of management interviews and employee questionnaires. The last part then presents a set of recommendations adjusted directly for the researched company in order to help improve current situation.
