Pandemic Covid-19: Senior´s point of view

This bachelor thesis titled Pandemic Covid-19: senior's point of view is divided into two parts. Theoretical part is focused on describing basic terms linked to old age, characterizes senescence as an ontological stage and makes a brief introduction of its periodization according to different authors. This part subsequently describes aging and changes that are closely related with the process - biological, psychological as well as social. It also depicts senescence as a social phenomenon linked to stereotypes and prejudices, and also works with the issue of ageism. The following chapter is devoted to the theme of a crisis occurring in one's life, introduces typology, causes, stages and evolving of the crisis, and also presents certain methods of dealing with unexpected situations. Last chapter aims to clarify Covid-19 pandemic and its specific events and demanding situations. The introduction covers basic terms, characterizes coronavirus, and outlines the process of coping with the pandemic in the Czech Republic. Senior's point of view about the pandemic and coping mechanisms are discussed in the conclusion of the theoretical part. Practical part of the thesis evaluates data from a survey that has been done by JUPSYCOR project and describes experience and coping mechanisms of seniors in the Czech Republic. The data were analyzed in the programme ATLAS.ti and then evaluated by a qualitative method.
Dopady pandemie COVID-19 na prostorovou organizaci letecké dopravy

The main topic in the bachelor's thesis is about the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in the aviation and airline industry in the first 2 quarters of 2020. The first part is dedicated to the research of literature, describing the airline industry as a whole, its many paths and factors that have an influence on it. In the thesis is mentioned even the negative parts that affected the aviation industry, that had similar impacts like the COVID-19 pandemic itself. The analytic part of the thesis is focused on analyzing aviation data from certain states of the world, mainly from the first 2 quarters of 2019 and comparing them with the other first 2 quarters of 2020, primarily about the amount of passengers and the number of final destinations. The data for the analysis was taken from the International Civil Aviaton Organization (ICAO) that goes by name On-Flight Origin And Destination, that offers information about airline paths all over the globe. The results of the analytic part informs us about the short-term or even maybe long-term global negative consequences for the aviation industry and perhaps drastic changes for the so far calm airline travel.
Vliv koronavirové epidemie na trh práce v příhraničních regionech České republiky

This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of unemployment in border districts before the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic and during the epidemic, when anti-epidemic measures began to work. The selected time period during which the unemployment rate is monitored is from December 2019, when unemployment in the Czech Republic was the lowest in Europe, until January 2021. Districts are then divided in a typology according to the development of unemployment at the beginning and end of the period. The first part explains the various concepts associated with the labor market and unemployment. In the second part, the unemployment rate data are analyzed.
The influence of the media on the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic

This Bachelor's thesis deals with the influence of media on the wellbeing of people during the Covid-19 pandemic. Theoretical part of this thesis describes several different types of media and their influence on the society as well as the definition of public opinion and the principles of dissemination of information. Because the aforementioned pandemic is a crisis situation, the thesis also defines those situations. Research part of this thesis focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis of data from the JUPSYCOR research. The qualitative analysis is focused on a detailed study of the influence of media as ranked by respondents. The quantitative part of this thesis focuses on finding (correlation/context) between the codes created during the qualitative analysis.
Collocability of the most frequent nouns in COVID-19 forum threads - a corpus study

This Bachelor's thesis deals with the collocability of the most frequent nouns used by users in COVID-19 forum threads. Online discussion forums are well-known for the diversity of opinions of its users where every user may have their own specific style of expression, sentence formation, and also vocabulary of often used words. The theoretical part mostly concentrates on the terms "phraseology" and "collocations". Regarding collocations, besides general description a closer look at individual categories and types of collocations is also provided. The ending of the theoretical part concentrates on collocability and its concept. The practical part contains the corpus research of data gathered using a script from a Reddit forum. This data is subjected to analysis and is used in the creation of a corpus with the help of #LancsBox software. Subsequently, a frequency list of nouns is created and a collocational profile for the most frequent nouns is developed. The thesis analyses which collocations most often occur among non-professionals in discussion forums on the current topic of COVID-19 and at what frequency they occur.
Motivation and Stimulation in Selected Sector

This bachelor's thesis deals with the ways of motivation and stimulation of employees in a chosen environment. All the information is gathered through questionnaires and further interviews with two managers. The main goal is to make a list of ways and methods of motivation and stimulation, as well as showing their advantages and drawbacks. The environments under research are the companies XXXLutz České Budějovice and Mobelix České Budějovice. Both of them are furniture companies. The criteria for the working environment evaluation are: the average salary, the employee benefits, the satisfaction of workers, the opportunity of further training and education, and the company approach to the current Covid-19 situation. At the end of the thesis, the weights of the importance of criteria for both employees and the company are summarized. The companies will be able to draw from this survey over the next few years. Communication between employees and the employer is also expected to improve.
Cross-border Cooperation in French-German Non-profit Organisations

This master's thesis pursues the questions of how the firefighters are organised in Germany and France and of what consequences the Covid-19 sanitary crisis had on their cross-border cooperation in the Upper Rhine region.The qualitative research has been carried out in the context of an internship at the central public administration for the fire and rescue services of the French department of Bas-Rhin. In total, three semi-structured interviews have been conducted with German voluntary and professional firefighters and two narrative interviews have been done with French administrative and operational staff of the training institution. Light has been shed on the terms cross-border cooperation, civil security, risk management and the communication of risks, organisational structures and culture as well as on the European funding programme INTERREG and the current situation of projects involving firefighters.

The summary report is a cross-sectional summary of the results of the surveys conducted and published in 2020 and 2021 in press releases of the Centre for Public Opinion Research of the Institute of Sociology of the Czech Academy of Sciences. The text is divided into thematic topics covering views and concerns related to COVID-19 in general, including interest and tracking information, the evolution of expectations about the future course of the pandemic in the Czech Republic, Europe and the world, and the trend in attitudes towards how the state has responded to the pandemic and its impact, attitudes towards vaccination and the public health system (PES), attitudes towards wearing masks and other measures and adherence to them, including respondents' own behaviour and activities, the economic and social impacts of the pandemic and anti-epidemic measures, the impact of the pandemic and associated restrictions on voting, electoral decision-making and turnout.
Change in the position and functions of school geographical atlases during distance learning

The thesis is focused on the changes caused by distance education (due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Specifically, how the pandemic influenced the position of school geographic atlases in relation to other tools in geography education and how was changed the use of the functions that this tool could provide. These changes were examined in three periods (pre-pandemic, pandemic and post- pandemic). The focus of the thesis also determines its individual objectives. First main objective of this thesis is to compare the position of printed school geography atlases in distance learning versus face-to-face learning in relation to other teaching tools used in geography education. Hence, the secondary objective, aimed at ranking the main teaching tools used in geography education in face-to-face learning and then capturing their possible transformation in the distance and post- distance learning. The functions and uses of these printed school geography atlases in the above periods are then examined. Criminological aspects of domestic violence and their impact on the victim Abstract This thesis provides the reader with an insight into the issue of domestic violence and its current forms. Currently, this phenomenon is receiving more and more attention, both from politicians and from non-profit organizations existing to provide assistance to victims. In the light of the above, the aim of this paper was to describe this phenomenon in terms of its impact on victims of domestic violence and the possibilities of using de lege lata to protect them, and then to offer possible solutions to some of the problems with a focus on the future, i.e. de lege ferenda. In its introductory chapters, the thesis provides a comprehensive description of the course of domestic violence and what forms it can take. It then focuses on describing the victims, among whom it lists mainly women, but also men, children and the elderly. It then shifts its attention to the typology of perpetrators and various criminological theories regarding their psychology and character. The criminological section is followed by a section on legal protection options. First of all, the thesis enumerates the instruments that exist and are frequently used in the Czech legal system.
