Bryndová, Š.: Biological activity of plant metabolites XVI. Influence of alkaloids from Chelidonium majus L. on acetylcholinesterase, Rigorous work, Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy Hradec Králové, 71 pp. Key words: Alzheimer's disease, alkaloids, Chelidonium majus, acetylcholinesterase, biological aktivity. Within the screening of plants that contain alkaloids inhibiting the activity of the human erythrocytic acetylcholinesterase Greater celadine (Chelidonium majus L., Papaveraceae) was studied. 41,8 kg of the whole dry plant (the aerial part with the roots) served for the isolation of alkaloids. Mixtures of pseudocyanides of benzophenanthridine alkaloids, phenolic bases, and the alkaloids precipitated from either chloroform-soluble or chloroform-insoluble chlorides were obtained from the purified ethanolic extract. My task was to separate benzofenanthridine alkaloids from pseudocyanides. Using both column and thin layer chromatography sanguinarine as a chloride was isolated. The identity of the isolated alkaloid was determined by means of an authentic standard and by comparing its physico-chemical characteristics with the published data. The isolated compound inhibited the human erythrocytic acetylcholinesterase with IC50 2,69×10-5 M. Comparing its biological activity with that...

My Bachelor's Thesis
Moravanský, Tomáš ; Nadaud, Pierre (referee) ; Ptáček, Jiří (advisor)
Videomeaning is the second of a series of pictorial compositions. They build on linking words and their meanings, each one kreujúcich framework. In the version of the genre are the outputs of the four characters in the same situation in one room, each of which can function as a single unit with an inherent background as well as a sample, cut a kind of fictional universe, which in his work long build. Imagine more storey house on each floor and several rooms. Monochrome spaces throughout the building, where the color and atmosphere determined by light and sound in every room differently. As one of the rooms, the floors, the theme of which is Videomeaning. Room inhabit in this case four characters, each living their own lives. The characters carried by description, white card on which the explanation of their meaning in the simplest form possible. They are the only other inhabitants of the house. On this floor is their meaning, have meaning. Explanation importance. The first plan. Name, origin, function and material. Some character is a separate room, another may be the opposite in greater numbers, and the focus is more on the compositional enjoyment. Indeed, each it is operating on their own, unless in one act with several characters to one meaning. For this moment, I chose the example of the four figures that work in both cases.

Qualitative and quantitative study of lymph nodes of greater omentum and its vicinity
Kheck, Michal ; Kachlík, David (advisor)
The initial impetus to this topic came from Clinical physician - pathologist. A large part of the caul resection operations for colorectal cancer and the pathology is in the staging routinely investigated. These are mainly finding and histological processing and detection of lymph nodes metastatic potential of cancer. In the literature, however, we not find any mention of the anatomy of lymphatic drainage and possible localization of lymph nodes in a large caul. Upon further examination We found that as information about the vascular supply to a largecaul is patchy, or a study conducted on a small number preparations. Great caul is mainly used in abdominal surgery, is not usable in reconstructive surgery.

Risks of chosen incidents caused by natural effects on the defined area of Kosice and Presov region in Slovakia
FAŠÁNOKOVÁ, Mária
This thesis presents an overview of the risks emergencies caused by natural factors. It deals with their causes, potential consequences, which may endanger the health, lives and property of the citizens of the Slovak Republic, and ultimately the environment. The aim of my thesis is to analyze the potential risks for the population resulting from emergencies caused by natural effects and compare them to the risks listed with the relevant authorities. Also, the order of presentation of the results obtained suggest risk register. The acquisition of knowledge I have chosen a method of study of existing legislation, technical publications in the field of crisis management and the protection of people and documentation of state administration, the risks associated with emergencies caused by natural influences, led by the relevant authorities. The theoretical part of the work is in its initial section focuses on clarifying key concepts, namely risk, threat, impact and natural incident. In addition they also illuminates other words such as, emergency and emergency situation, essential for understanding the context of their work. Explains the importance of a specific force in relation to the induction of incidents which cause is natural, forces of nature, without human intervention. Legislation is based on the selection of existing legal norms Slovak Republic. In the following text to become a master thesis deals with a description of the geographical, hydrological and meteorological conditions alone Slovak Republic as well as natural conditions Košice and Prešov region. Draws attention to the particular circumstances of the two regions, resulting in the definition of the specific risks of emergencies caused by natural factors. So I filled the objectives specified in the thesis, I decided on the basis of geographical, hydrological and meteorological conditions in the Prešov and Košice regions described in Chapter I., process risks existing emergency caused by natural influences, which is repeated every year with different degrees of damage, and flood. The practical part has specifically describe the flood - its causes, risks and possible consequences in selected areas of Kosice and Presov region. I discuss my findings detected by the method of qualitative research conducted standardized interview with experts on civil protection. On the basis of interviews, I conclude that the hypothesis of "governmental entities in the defined area of Košice and Prešov regions have sufficient risk assessment of selected emergencies caused by natural effects" was confirmed and the authorities are trying as much as possible to eliminate the risk of flooding. Representatives of municipalities have learned from extensive flooding in 2010, when there were huge losses. Since that time there has been a reassessment of buildings in flood zones, was developed many plans and projects, consider the new risks and a greater range of the governed territory. Currently being developed flood hazard maps and flood risk maps for areas managed by the government, which significantly helps make for the best possible identification of risks from floods, mapped most vulnerable areas and thus become the basis for developing measures for flood navhodnejších only managed a territory of Košice of Prešov in Slovakia. However, the essence of eliminating the risk of flooding to the lowest possible level in Košice and Prešov regions remains, according to the representatives of the government, naustála update streams, effective communication and collaboration with administrators of watercourses and always ready state administration bodies to the very existence and the related consequences of floods .

Regulation of adiponectin and its isoforms production in human obesity
Kováčová, Zuzana ; Štich, Vladimír (advisor) ; Hainer, Vojtěch (referee) ; Kazdová, Ludmila (referee) ; Rossmeisl, Martin (referee)
It is apparent that the imbalance in energy intake and expenditure coming hand-to-hand with the "westernisation" of our lifestyle leads to an elevated number of overweight and obese individuals that are commonly in a greater risk of developing chronic complications (e.g. insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases) with increased mortality. The development of obesity-related complications closely relate with dysfunction of adipose tissue leading to the peripheral insulin resistance and metabolic disruption of insulin sensitive organs (e.g. muscle, liver) subsequently inducing whole body insulin resistance. Since adipose tissue is the biggest endocrine organ in the human body producing many hormones influencing functions of adipose tissue itself or other organs, alteration of their spectrum has been revealed as one of the possible inductors or contributors disturbing body energy homeostasis. Adipose tissue serves as a major site for storage of surplus nutritions, however, long-term positive energy imbalance and high dose calorie intake lead not only to expansion of fat mass but mainly to the pathological changes of the tissue. In states of obesity, adipose tissue is under constant metabolic stress, resulting in the activation of the stress and inflammatory response. It leads to...

Stimulation Mechanisms in the System of Assistance in Material Deprivation
TŮMOVÁ, Hana
The system of assistance in material deprivation regulates aid to people in need, i.e., persons who finds themselves in a situation where they are unable to provide for themselves. At present, greater emphasis is being out on each citizen?s responsibility for themselves and their families, as well as their active role in the finding of solutions for social events that impact on them. The point to try to motivate people in need to improve personally and actively their income. The aim of the Diploma Thesis is to map the findings gathered in the process of applying selected mechanisms in the system of assistance to persons in need. Five basic questions have been formulated for our research: 1. How do the clients see the idea of selling property or other uses of property? 2. How can we prove a client?s endeavor to improve his income by working? 3. What requirements and demands do recipients of welfare benefits have when they improve their income by working? 4. Is the concept of positive effect of higher income earned by own work apparent more on the part of social workers than clients? 5. What options of controlling do the recipients of welfare benefits have when trying to prove their effort to improve their income by own work? The qualitative survey was conducted by questioning, using the technique of semi-structured interview. Data collection was done from July to October 2011 ad in March 2012. The survey sample consisted of 12 recipients of welfare benefits selected by random, 12 social workers from municipal offices, and 5 social workers from regional branches of the Labor Office. The collected data were processed by casuistry specialists. Other data were sorted by theme, mutually compared, and summarized in the form of tables. The research survey revealed that most of the questioned social workers do not consider the system of material assistance stimulating. They believe that the system forces clients to rely on the system, rather than seek employment actively.
