Molecular typisation of lactic acid bacteria
Jelínek, Zdeněk ; Ing. Špano Miroslav,PhD. (referee) ; Rittich, Bohuslav (advisor)
Lactic acid bacteria play important role both in food industry and health care. They are part of many fermented dairy products and gastrointestinal microflora. There is a whole variety of methods for bacteria identification, but we will focus on Rep-PCR and RAPD only. The aim of this work will be to discuss the impact of different correlation coefficients and cluster analysis algorithms on the results of taxonomic analysis.

The population mobility and its impact on regional development
LEMINGEROVÁ, Jana
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the mobility of the population and to assess its impact on regional development. The work is focused on the spatial mobility of population, specifically on the internal migration of population in the South Region of the Czech Republic, mobility is evaluated on the basis of migration indicators. The next section using correlation analysis examined the relationship between mobility and the development of the region.

Evaluation of the Beef Price Developments in Selected EU Countries
PANGRÁCOVÁ, Kristýna
The main objective of this work is to evaluate the dependency of the price of beef in the income of households. For the six selected EU will be examined twelve consecutive period from 2001 to 2012 will be used for the calculation of trend analysis, the coefficient of elasticity and correlation index. On the basis of these results was to confirm that the four selected countries dependence prices of beef in the income of households. These states are the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Austria. In Poland and Hungary dependence was refuted.

Multivariate GARCH
Maďar, Milan ; Hurt, Jan (advisor) ; Branda, Martin (referee) ; Mazurová, Lucie (referee)
4 Title: Multivariate GARCH Author: Mgr. Milan Mad'ar Department: Katedra pravděpodobnosti a matematické statistiky Abstract: This thesis will examine the regional and global linkages as evi- dence of integration of stock markets in Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Prague and the U.S. Therefore we will utilize the multivariate GARCH approach that investigates the dynamics of volatility transmission of related foreign exchange rates. Also, we will define three basic model classes. For each of the model classes a theoret- ical review, basic properties and estimation procedure with proofs are provided. We illustrate each approach by applying the models to daily market data. The two main aims of the thesis are to discuss and report the existence of regional and global stock markets linkages and provide a comparison of such multivariate GARCH models on the data sample. The main contribution of the thesis is that it treats the data in the context of real development in financial markets and takes into account the real situation during and after the financial crisis of 2008. We find out that the estimated time-varying conditional correlations indicate limited integration among the markets, which implies that investors can benefit from the risk reduction by investing in the different stock markets, especially during the crisis....

Stock Portfolio Optimalization on Czech Capital Market
Šebestíková, Sabina ; Štěpánková, Jana (referee) ; Sojka, Zdeněk (advisor)
The master's thesis is focused on Stock portfolio optimalization on Czech capital market. The analysis of each stock, estimation and portfolio optimalization proposal are included. In the practical part the Fundamental analysis is applied. The portfolio optimalization is estemated by portfolio theory which is consist in the relationship between stock price and market trends represents by PX Index and expressing correlation of them by beta coefficient.

Analýza klíčových komponent ve financích
Fučík, Vojtěch ; Kolman, Marek (advisor) ; Fičura, Milan (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to summarize and possibly interconnect the existing methodology on principal components analysis, hierarchical clustering and topological organization in the financial and economic networks, linear regression and GARCH modeling. In the thesis the clustering ability of PCA is compared with the more conventional approaches on a set of world stock market indices returns in different time periods where the time division is represented by The World Financial Crisis of 2007-2009. It is also observed whether the clustering of DJIA index components is underlied by the industry sector to which the individual stocks belong. Joining together PCA with classical linear regression creates principal components regression which is further in the thesis applied to the German DAX 30 index logarithmic returns forecasting using various macroeconomic and financial predictors. The correlation between two energy stocks returns - Chevron and ExxonMobil is forecasted using orthogonal (or PCA) GARCH. The constructed forecast is then compared with the predictions constructed by the conventional multivariate volatility models - EWMA and DCC GARCH.

Correlation Analysis of various Asset Classes
Urbanová, Sabína ; Brůna, Karel (advisor) ; Pour, Jiří (referee)
Bachelor thesis focuses on correlation analysis of various assets and construction of effective border and optimal portfolio. The thesis consists of four parts. First part describes main theories of portfolio selection and international investing. Second part is characterization of assets chosen for correlation analysis, concretely shares, bonds, gold, silver, crude oil, natural gas and property. In the third part I present correlation coefficients between assets. The last, forth, part is a practical application of correlation coefficients used for portfolio selection.

Church Music of Johann Sebastian Bach
Staňková, Eva ; Tvrdek, Petr (advisor) ; Špačková, Alena (referee)
Annotation: Málková, Eva. Church Music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Prague: Hussite Theological Faculty, Charles University, 2012. Thesis. The aim of this thesis is to introduce church music of Johann Sebastian Bach and its theological announcement. By looking up and appraising musical-theological elements at Bach's work this thesis brings near to the reader the theological, philosophical and mystic thinking of Bach. By pre-understanding and complexity of perception of Bach's church music is possible to see deep sense and aim of artist's work. In the first (theoretical) part I am engaged in systems of thinking that could Bach's church work influence. Then I am specifying the pieces that are supposed to be church music. In the second (practical) part I am looking for musical- theological elements that could Bach be influenced with. By researching of Bach's artistic style I am trying to find correlation of musical and theological contents and I am trying to point out that the message of Bach's church work is relevant.
