Proposal of Activities Increasing Competitiveness of Company

The aim of this master thesis is to improve the competitive position of a selected company by creation of new marketing mix. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part constitutes the theoretical basis. The second part contains SLEPT analysis, analysis according to Porter’s five forces model, analysis of the company‘s marketing mix and its competition, and also includes a questionnaire. The third part deals with creation of new marketing mix for the company.

Master thesis deals with the project of e-commerce for international business. It analyses actual condition of the specified subject and focuses on improving of market position and obtaining possible competitive advantages by the conserned parties.

Innovation policy of Israel

The goal of this thesis is to understand the innovation policy of Israel and find recommendations for innovation policy of Czech republic. The first chapter aims to define basic theoretical concepts of innovation and measurements of the efficiency of innovation policy and competitiveness of the economy as such. The second chapter analyzes the innovation policy of Israel, its origins, the factors causing innovative thinking, the government tools for the support of innovation and successful innovation projects. The final chapter contains a comparison of the innovative aspects of the two countries, evaluation of cooperation and inspiration for the Czech innovation system based on my research.

Expansion strategy of Žatec brewery into a foreign market

The Master's thesis focuses on international expansion process of a company. For the application part of the thesis I have chosen a company called Žatec brewery Ltd. which belongs into a category of small and medium enterprises. The main objectives of the thesis comprise selection of a convenient Western Balkans region market for expansion of the brewery and subsequent formulation of a specific market entry strategy. The market entry strategy consists of a market entry mode selection, competitive strategy and marketing strategy as well as marketing mix 4P. The minor objectives include characteristics of the brewery's business strategy and the role of international expansion in it and also the company's financial analysis whose results underpine its expansion possibilities. The other minor objectives comprise multi-criteria decision model creation in order to decide for the most attractive target market and the expansion key success factors identification. As for the methods used, analyzes like financial analysis, PEST analysis, Porter's model of five forces and SWOT analysis, and then comparisons dominate. Croatia was finally identified as the most suitable regional market for the brewery's expansion and the company was advised to enter it with its gluten-free lager product. It was suggested, at the same time, that the brewery use to its advantage the background provided by its current owner - beer brewing company Carlsberg.

Education as a factor of regional development

The diploma thesis is focused on human capital influence on regional development and regional competitiveness. The goal is to evaluate influence of educational structure on development indicators in regions of the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part are found chapters dedicated to: definition of human capital, investments in human capital and its influence on socio-economic sphere. The practical part is focused on analysis of relation between educational sphere and indicators of the regional development, such as: net disposable income per capita, gross domestic product per capita, economic activity rate, unemployment rate, criminality rate and rate of violent crime. In case of net disposable income per capita and gross domestic product per capita was found correlation. The education structure has an impact on these macroeconomic indicators. Regarding economic activity rate and criminality rate, there was found a correlation but much less intensive than expected. In the last group of indicators, unemployment rate and rate of violent crime, there was not found any correlation whatsoever. In the practical part of the thesis was also examine that massive education is not an effective solution and an answer in case of solving all regional development problems. As much as important education is, without effective use of it this potential stays only as a potential and not as an output.

European Union funds as medium for increasing the competitive advantage of Czech companies and non-profit associations

Práce se zabývá problematikou regionální a strukturální politiky EU s důrazem kladeným na využívání fondů EU jako prostředku pro zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti českých podniků. Cílem této práce je přiblížit problematiku fondů EU, vývoj v minulém a současném rozpočtovacím období, zhodnotit vhodnost použitých metodik a navrhnout případná řešení. Struktura práce je navržena tak, aby poskytovala nejen obecné, ale zejména praktické rady pro zpracování vybraných programových dokumentů.

Trade Relations between Colombia and the Czech Republic

The goal of this thesis is to determine and analyze trade relations between the Czech Republic and Colombia and to identify concrete business opportunities among them. the sub goals include the comparison of macroeconomic, political and socioeconomic indicators, analysis of the trade flows of goods, to identify the top 10 products and to determine the competitive advantage of both countries by using Porter's model of national competitive advantage. Finally several business opportunities are identified and each of them is described in more detail. The used methods are description, analysis and comparison of data from the Trademap webpage, World Bank and official records and reports from both countries trade ministries.

Potencial and competitive advantage of Czech tourism in international comparison

Práce se zabývá konkurenceschopností cestovní ruchu v České republice a hodnotí schopnost uspět na mezinárodním trhu cestovního ruchu. Hodnotí SWOT analýzou silné a slabé stránky a upozorňuje na možné příležitosti a ohrožení, které mohou v budoucnosti nastat. Důležitou součástí je komparace s jinými evropskými destinacemi, byly vybrány Rakousko, Německo, Maďarsko, Chorvatsko. Autorka provedla vzájemnou komparaci destinací pomocí metod z vícekriteriálního hodnocení variant, běžnou v manažerském rozhodování. Cílem diplomové práce je dokázat konkurenceschopnost České republiky v mezinárodní komparaci a upevnit tak její místo v rámci mezinárodním cetovním ruchu.

Financial Analysis of Eaton Industries s. r. o.

This bachelor thesis presents a financial analysis of Eaton Industries s. r. o. Conduction of the analysis is based on publicly accessible financial statements of years 2010 - 2014. The purpose of the thesis is to evaluate the company's overall financial situation utilizing the standard methods of financial analysis which include the horizontal and vertical analysis and the financial ratios. Analytical calculations are accompanied with interpretations emphasizing the fundamental understanding of the company's financial statements. Competitiveness of the analyzed company is compared with the industrial averages of CZ NACE 29 and lastly a strategic market analysis is carried out using the Porter's five forces analysis.

The analysis of the vehicle insurance

The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the vehicle insurance in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical section the author deals with compulsory motor third party liability insurance and motor own damage insurance. Theme is a very actual, because of the variability of the market situation, insurance companies create variability within the competitiveness and trying to obtain client. The practical part of thesis deals with the examining the Czech financial market. The author of the thesis focuses on four selected insurance companies according to total premiums written on the compulsory motor third party liability insurance and motor own damage insurance. In the practical part are two examples, on those potential candidates could see the influence of factors. The author of the thesis in the last part wants to find out advantage of the combined product, compared to negotiation of the compulsory motor third party liability insurance and the motor own damage insurance separately.
