System of autonomous differential equations
Benáčková, Jana ; Tomášek, Petr (referee) ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (advisor)
In his work dealing with applications, systems theory of autonomous differential equations in biology to the analysis model of coexistence of two populations. Mathematical models are described in general non-linear autonomous system of differential equations. I introduced the classification of types of singular points that are important for the following solutions to specific models. In the last part is an overview of the most famous models of the two populations (predator × prey) and specific models for the communities of invertebrate animals and mammals.

The evacuation plan of the health care ward block in the mode of general evacuation {--} the analysis of the principle of the evacuation plan of the inhabitants and their application to a health care ward block.
SKÁCELOVÁ, Lada
Population evacuation plan is one of the plans of specific operations, which are covered within the region's emergency plan according to Decree No. 328/2001 Coll.Evacuation belongs among the basic methods of population protection, being a summary of principles and organisation measures to ensure moving the persons, animals and material assets from the area endangered by an extraordinary event to other area. In the case of an extraordinary event endangering larger territorial unit, not only the populated agglomerations and industrial facilities may be included in the area evacuation, but also the inpatient healthcare facilities, where the situation difficulty is amplified by the patients depending on care by medical personnel and provision of healthcare services. Presently, there is no clear legal standard imposing an obligation on organisations to elaborate a complete evacuation plan. This issue is covered only partially in the sphere of legislation concerning fire protection. Nevertheless within the region's emergency plan elaborated for solution of extraordinary events requiring declaration of the third level (in the case of endangering more than 100 and less than 1,000 persons) and special level of alarm (when more than 1,000, a part of a municipality or enterprise grounds are endangered), all organisations with more than 100 persons should have the evacuation plans prepared. In the case of inpatient healthcare facilities, elaboration of evacuation plans is absolutely inevitable. The theoretical part of the dissertation describes the general principles and methods of performing the population evacuation. Attention was paid also to professional coverage, evacuation authorities and organisations and their structure according to the scope of the taken measures. In the chapter called "Application of the evacuation plan to inpatient healthcare facilities", the general principles and procedures concerning evacuation were applied to the inpatient healthcare facilities. In the practical part of the dissertation, an analysis of preparedness of the inpatient healthcare facilities for possible area evacuation to all-nation extent was made and the hitherto experience of the personnel of the inpatient healthcare facilities with any type of evacuation and their preparedness for possible complete evacuation were examined. Such examinations were made by questionnaire surveys. The collected data have been processed by statistical methods. The evaluation of results is presented in the "Results" chapter. On the basis of the acquired knowledge, a proposal of evacuation plan was drafted for the inpatient healthcare facilities. At the end of the dissertation, the procedures are suggested that may help manage perfectly the potential complete evacuation. Expected utilisation of the dissertation results was directed to definition of the optimum procedures and measures leading to successful management of evacuation of an inpatient health care facility. The dissertation conclusions may be used not only as the document for creating evacuation plans for other health care facilities, but they may contribute to considerable extent to elaboration of uniform evacuation preparation methodology within the emergency preparedness of the healthcare services.

Cognition test for testing object permanence in birds and primates
Marhounová, Lucie ; Landová, Eva (advisor) ; Veselý, Petr (referee)
Object permanence is a cognitive ability to mentally represent the existence and the movement of hidden objects. This phenomenon is being developed since birth in six different stages following the development of the sensorimotor intelligence. Not only the humans but also the other animals possess a certain notion of hidden objects and acquire various degrees of this ability depending on their life strategies. This thesis summarizes the research conducted up to the present in the field of the object permanence within the infant developmental psychology, but particularly in the animal world with the emphasis on the taxa where this ability has been most researched, that is in primates and birds. This thesis also recapitulates the types of the cognitive tasks used in the object permanence research and compares the methods of experiments applied to the humans, the primates and the birds. Part of this thesis also involves a phylogenetic reconstruction estimate of the ancestral character status in terms of the object permanence and testing the progress dependance of such character in relation to the selected ecological factors in primates.

Effect of transport stress on the mortality of broilers
SEDLÁČKOVÁ, Renata
The aim of the thesis is to acquaint the reader with the reasons for mortality of broilers during their transport to the slaughterhouse. Materials for your own research (from 2012) were obtained from the State Veterinary Administration of a company Vodňanská drůbež s. r. o., the argest supplier of poultry meat in the Czech Republic. The second chapter deals with legislation relating to animals in general, but also legislation that governs the protection primarily for meat production. Welfare of broilers, therefore, their comfort, and handling is dealt with in the third chapter. It describes picking halls, catching chickens, chicken waste, transport of poultry for slaughter, chickens and unloading conditions to be met by the authorized person when handling poultry. The fourth chapter describes the factors affecting the welfare of broiler chickens during fattening. These factors include the type of litter, microclimate - thermoregulation poultry, lighting, and health status of broilers. Because the work deals with the mortality of broilers during transport, the fifth chapter is devoted to this issue. There are analyzed transport requirements, the effect of high and low temperature for transporting poultry. Furthermore, means of transport and the obligation of carriers during transport to the slaughterhouse, whether it's planning a trip or taking care of animals during transport. The sixth chapter deals with the custom dissertation: In 2012, it was the slaughterhouses (company Vodňanská drůbež s. r. o.) moved from 116 breeders 30,231,410 pieces of broilers at slaughter, of which 136,616 units during transport died at a mean of 0.455 %. Most deaths were at a distance of 251-305 km (0.834 %), at least at a distance of 50 km to 0.252 %. Age of chickens at slaughter, an average of 35.13 days and slaughter weight was on average 1.93 kg. Most deaths occurred during transport of broilers during the winter 0.919 %, the correlation coefficient r = 0.37, less than 0.316 % in summer (r = 0.02).

Noise in various types of parlors.
FÁK, Jan
This thesis is focused on the noise in different types of parlors it deals with the measurement of noise in the monitored different types of parlors. For this measurement were selected farms in my area: Zemědělská společnost Slapy a.s., Školní statek Měšice a Zemědělské a obchodní družstvo Podhradí Choustník. This measurement was conducted successively in all three parlors. There was measured the background noise in the waiting rooms and parlors before and during milking. From the measured values were calculated equivalent sound pressure levels and then compared and evaluated monitored parlors in the terms of noise pollution not only on animals but also at operating personnel.

Characterization of the porcine induced pluripotent stem cells
Svobodová, Eliška ; Vodička, Petr (advisor) ; Tlapáková, Tereza (referee)
Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are the cells established by introducing several transcription factors into the somatic cells and culturing them in embryonal stem cell (ESCs) culture conditions. Factors used for the establishment of the first iPSCs are OCT3/4, SOX2, KLF4 and c-MYC. IPSCs created by these means resemble closely to the ESCs. IPS technology may be used to derive iPS cells of individual pacients and apply these cells for their treatment in the cases where the use of ESCs represents an ethical and imunological problem. Therefore, it is important to establish an appropriate animal model for the longtime safety testing of iPSCs before acceding to their medicinal aplication.

Puppet Animator
Mrázová, Martina ; KLOS, Jan (advisor) ; Žabka, Michal (referee)
This master thesis deals with the problematic position of the Czech puppet animator. Based on interviews with two puppet animators, representing the current puppet animation and the last century Golden era, I am trying to figure out how the puppet animator worked in the last century and how he works today. For the current generation I draw from the experience of puppet animator Jan Štencl. For the past generation I draw from the experience of Mr. Jan Klos. I'm trying to clarify what puppet animator has had to know and if these kind of skills varies according to the period in which the animator works/worked. Furthermore, this theoretical work deals with the problems that animators are facing today and how to puppet animators respond to the expansion of 3D technology. In conclusion, I outline the various solutions to the current situation.
