Possibilities and barriers of development of statuory city Zlín

This diploma thesis which is devided into four parts is trying to map the current state of the statuory city Zlín and identify opportunities and barriers of its further development. The first section provides a theoretical basis for understanding the problems of cities and municipal development and also introduces the method of SWOT analysis, which is used in this thesis as well. Second, the most extensive section is devoted to an socioeconomic analysis and constitutes a basis for the next two chapters. The analysis is divided thematically and tries to outline the development and current situation of the city. The third part consists of a SWOT analysis of Zlín, which describes its strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the future. Last, the fourth chapter shows the possibilities and barriers to the development of the city, divided into six thematic groups: population; business environment, transport, environment, culture, sport and leisure, tourism and public administration. It also outlines how to exploit opportunities and overcome barriers.
Socioeconomic Analysis of a chosen Area

Bachelors thesis which deals with socioeconomic analysis of Humpolec is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter that describes the basic terms of regional development and politics is followed by socioeconomic analysis of Humpolec. The analysis summarizes information from the field of population, social infrastructure and economic activity. Data for this chapter were gathered from Czech Statistical Office and official Humpolec website. Dynamic and comparative approaches were used for formulating these parts. A method of semantic differential is used in the section that follows, it reflects two different opinions on the theme. Obtained facts are supplemented by information from personal interview with town representative and are used for SWOT analysis. Completing SWOT analysis is the main objective of this thesis. Then the author selects a final strategy based on SWOT analysis. In the conclusion there is a personal evaluation and a summary of current situation with the view to the future in Humpolec area.
Socio-economic analysis of the Pardubice Region

Thesis "Socio-economic analysis of the Pardubice Region" describes the condition assessment and development of socio-economic areas in the region, each chapter is devoted to just one area. The first part focuses on the general description of the region, natural conditions, population, economic base, labor market and infrastructure, environment, tourism, education and health also. In the next section using SWOT analysis assessed the strengths and weaknesses of the region, as well as opportunities and threats. The last chapter is focused on the proposed strategy of transport, environment and tourism because there are many shortcomings in these area sof the region. The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive view of the Pardubice region, and using information gathered from various socio-economic fields to derive the expected future development of the region.
Strategic Development Plan of Prachatice

This bachelor thesis deals with strategic planning for the town of Prachatice. The goal is to verify that the current plan meets the strategic socio-economic and environmental situation. In the theoretical part of the basic concepts of regional policy and strategic planning, is also briefly described the legislation relating to the topic, focusing mainly on the Act No. 248/2000 Coll., on regional development. The following section deals with the structure of the strategic plan. The practical part is focused on socio-economic and environmental analysis, from which then follows a SWOT analysis.
Socioeconomic analysis of Litomyšl with emphasis on the cultural sights

The thesis is focused on Socioeconomic analysis of Litomyšl with emphasis on the role of cultural sights in the further development of this city. The aim of this work is the preparation socioeconomic profile of Litomyšl and determines the role of cultural sights. The analysis focuses on the analysis and evaluation of key factors influencing the development of the city (population development, population structure, economy of the city, the level of infrastructure, environment, tourism, cultural sights) Litomyšl and find possible links between cultural sights and further development of this city. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first one includes the socioeconomic analysis and the second part is aimed at exploring cultural sights of Litomyšl with an emphasis on sights registered on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage. The analysis is based on data obtained in the literature and internet sources. They also used information taken from the subjects that manage these cultural sights.
The evaluation of the effectiveness of the investment project in the public sector

The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of the effectiveness of the investment project in the public sector. Evaluation is based on C&B analysis, which is primarily intended for evaluating investments and interventions in the public sphere. Its aim is to give all the financial impacts of the project, whether positive or negative in order to evaluate the benefits arising from the implementation in relation to financial investments made in the project. The criterion for the success of these projects is not profit, but social benefits arising from them. The higher these benefits are, the greater is the efficiency of investment. The thesis is divided into three parts (excluding introduction and conclusion). The first section explains the important concepts that readers bring to the evaluation of investment efficiency in the public sector. In the second part contains the theoretical basis from which comes out the practical part. In her is then applied method of CBA and determined the final results.
Socio-economic analysis and development potential of city Týnec Sázavou

For this work I chose the theme of Socio-economic analysis and development potential of city Týnec nad Sázavou. This thesis aims to develop in-depth analysis of the city Týnec nad Sázavou which use of questionnaire and the method of SWOT analysis. These results are summarize to own recommendations and outline a possible future city development. Socio-economic analysis of city Týnec nad Sázavou deals with the history, population, transport and technical infrastructure of the city. Evaluates the status of quality of life in the city and tourism, which is an indispensable part of the city. Questionnaire survey provides an assessment of quality of life in the city by local citizens, who have their opinions and needs.SWOT analysis summarizes the socio-economic analysis and questionnaire to survey the strengths and weaknesses and possible opportunities and threats for the development of the city. Own recommendation is the subjective opinion, which outlines the direction of city development and points to the limits and barriers to this development.

This thesis deals with strategic development of the village called Nová Ves u Českých Budějovic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the most important aspects of regional and municipal development, and then characterizes the process of strategic planning and provides guidance on the preparation of the strategic plan for municipal development. The practical is focused on complete socio-economic analysis and SWOT analysis of the village Nová Ves. Based on this analysis, then identifies the key development opportunities and barriers and suggested the basic development activities.
Socioeconomic analysis of Prague’s district Vinor

I chose socioeconomic analysis of Prague's district Vinor for elaboration of my work. In the opening I want to introduce the district itself including its surroundings. In the individual chapters of the bachelor work I am going to discuss the history, transportation, culture, living, and education. I would like to concentrate on the structure and development of the population later. As part of my bachelor work I am going to perform questionnaire research, where I am going to examine the indicators of the population from different points of view. In following parts of the work I will elaborate SWOT analysis, which defines strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the district. Based on gained information I am going to elaborate suggestion, which would direct development of the town district in medium and long-term perspective. This analysis will mainly be a result of previously gained information from the questionnaire research. The goal of this work is to provide complex view of the town district and suggest opportunities of its future development including utilization of the financial grants from public sources or European funds. Another goal of this work is to provide comparison of the town district and Prague as a whole from many different points of view. Discussing especially population indicators, natural resources and individual types of economic activities.
