The serial Třicet případů majora Zemana after 1989

Diploma thesis TV series Třicet případů majora Zemana (Thirty cases of major Zeman) after the year 1989: revitalization, reflection and deideologization analyzes the overall return of the normalization propaganda series within media, political and social discourse after the year 1989. To fulfill this purpose, it examines not only changes in the reception of the series and the development of the audience interest both in the mass and network platforms, but it also offers detailed insights at the audience structure and the first release in the Czech television. In the next part the thesis also deals with satirical and mythological aspects exploring a wide range of representations in literature, music or film and also captures revelatory the establishment, structure and communication processes of the fandom subculture, which is in the Czech cinematic discourse completely beyond the common categories and whose observation fills an empty space in Czech academical research regarding the audiance behavior. The presented text further analyzes the learning potential of series and evaluates current efforts on its implementation. Czech society and change in the concept of tattooing in the medium term

Anntotation This bachelor thesis deals with the change of perception and reception of tattoo and tattooing in the Czech society over the last aproximatelly thirty years. The turning point was the socio-political revolution in 1990s. The revolution has changed the perception of tattoos in the post-socialistic society and tattooing itself. In this respect, it points to the differences between the Czech Republic and the western Europe which are influenced by dynamic development and the perception of the visual aspect of tattoo changing through time. Contemporary tattoos are confronted with tattoos made by native cultures in parts of this thesis. Such comparison answers following question: Could a tattoo be a rite of passage or a record of an event etc. even today in our culture? The bachelor thesis mentions the problem of subcultures which are sometimes characterised by specific tattoo. To the contrary, tattoo can represent an effort to express one's individuality. The thesis answers following questions: What does a tattoo mean to its holder from a time distance? What was the reason for getting it? Last but not least motives and the age of getting the first tattoo are essential for research and for answering the questions mentioned above. The theoretical part introduces the topic of organizational culture. Provides information on the elements, structure, content, strength, resources, functions and importance of organizational culture. It informs about the relationship between the individual and organizational culture and the concept of subculture. Next, the organizational culture of distinction and exploring its possibilities. In the practical part is analyzed the organizational culture of a particular organization. The aim of classification is mainly given to the selected culture typology, finding subcultures in the organization and demonstrate the influence of the head of the organization's culture.

Social and economic aspects of hip hop subculture

The thesis examines the origin and evolution of hip-hop subculture and its involvement in society as well as relation to creative industries. Economic side of the whole phenomena is important part of the thesis. The work is based on available literature in the Czech and foreign sources. Its aim is to demonstrate both direct and side effects of culture on economy while describing examples of hip hop connection to the market in the first years of its rise as well as in the recent years. The thesis is not determined only by African American hip hop subculture, but also by the current global and overlapping functions in the contemporary world and Czech society.

SELF HARM IN ADOLESCENCE

The work deals with self-harm as a maladaptive coping strategy. Emphasis is placed on adolescence as a risk period and on youth subcultures as a risk environment for emergence of this phenomenon. Attention is also paid to the internet and the real environment and their role in self-harm behavior. The aim was to identify possible causes of adolescent self-harm, who are part of the Emo subculture and any effect of the subculture of self-harm behaviors. Another objective was to find out where asolescents learned about this behavior and what is the role of ?social contagion?. The research was conducted qualitatively. Data were collected through semi-structured online interviews. These were conducted with four girls aged 13?15 years, who identify with the risk Emo subculture and have personal experience with self-harm. The data was then compiled into case studies of individual respondents. The research results showed that the causes of adolescent self-harm respondents are individual and there are always the role of several factors. Among these are: complicated relationships at home, problems at school, depression, loneliness and problematic relationship to own body. A direct link between the Emo subculture and self-harm, I didn´t discover. All respondents denied the influence of subculture. However, concerning the ?social contagion? self-harm behavior, this played the specific role by all respondents.

The relationship with the Police ČR and choosen nonconforming subcultures

The aim of my bachelor thesis was to describe the attitudes of the Police members in the CR to chosen subcultures existing in contemporary Czech society as well as identify possible antipathies towards certain subcultures. In the theoretical part I focused on defining relevant terms such as attitude, prejudice, stereotype and subculture. However, the major part of the literature search deals with particular subcultures like graffiti artists, participants in illegal free techno parties, hooligans, skinheads, anarchists, satanists, EMO style and gay and lesbian subcultures. Each subculture is briefly characterized, including its short history. Before starting the investigation I defined two hypotheses. Hypothesis no.1: Respondents inthe age group of 26 ? 35 years view the subcultures in a more positive way than the respondents over 55 years of age. This hypothesis was not proved. The views of the respondents were not significantly different. Hypothesis no.2: The subcultures which the respondents encounter when in service are viewed more negatively by them than the subcultures which they do not ever encounter. This hypothesis was proved. During the investigation I used the technique of quantitative-qualitative research according to my own questionnaire, together with in-depth interviews with several chosen respondents. The anonymous questionnaire was filled in by 106 respondents ? members of the Police of the Czech Republic, out of which there were 78 men and 28 women. The survey contained both the questions about the respondents and other questions related to particular nonconformist subcultures.The in-depth interviews were carried out with 6 respondents in order to investigate their attitudes more thoroughly.
