KOREŠ, Jiří
The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the changes of behaviour and attitude of clients who underwent drug addiction therapy. I have focused on the ethical aspects of these changes and their development within the build-up of the clients' new identity. I will analyse the environment and facilities in which the changes take place, approaches to therapy as well as addiction models, these being the decisive factors of change. I will also focus on the concept of identity build-up as presented in M. Brožová's analysis as a process of changes, which take place after therapy in communities and therapeutic facilities. In the conclusion, I will analyse the conception of ethics and the components of ethics as a basis to define signs of ethical behaviour in the topics of respondents. The practical part is a probe into the process of behaviour and attitude development of Prevent After Care clients. In the introduction, I will present the applied research methods, selection of fields, the research sample and operational procedures. Further, individual dialogues with respondents are included, including interpretation of the dialogues in relation to human practice and an interpretation of behaviour changes. In the dialogues, I will focus on the perception of changes by the clients themselves, their idea of freedom and their values.
Changes in following the Romani traditions and customs
KVASNIČKOVÁ, Kateřina
This thesis deals with changes in following traditions and customs in the Romani lives and its aim is to map and describe these changes. In its first, theoretical part there is a description of important times in the history of the Romani living on the Czech land, in which the Romani were, often under the threat of loss of their freedom, and sometimes even life, forced to change their lifestyle and adapt themselves to the majority society. The influence of the society was the reason why the Romani stopped following some of their traditions and customs and did not pass them on to the younger generations of the Romani; that is why, with time, many traditions and customs became forgotten. The second, practical part contains interviews with concrete Romani, their assessment and discussion, in which there is a comparison of the information I got with the data gathered by the authors quoted. After assessment of the interviews it is evident that the older Romani and the Romani born before the 1980 are well aware of their traditions and customs and follow some of the traditions in their families. The younger generation, however, are not interested in the traditional life of their ancestors, they do not follow the traditions and customs by themselves; they have adapted their lifestyles and systems of values to the majority society; they often do not consider themselves to be Romani.

Nowadays, due to the fact of growing external and internal influences, such as increasing competition, limited resources, globalization and new technology, every company is exposed to a potential threat of the inability to adapt to these pressures or inability to use them adequately for their advantage and benefits. As the only appropriate solution for this situation is offered an active approach to ongoing management of both strategic, but also small (incremental) organizational changes. Examples of these changes include changes in the organizational structure, business process reengineering, the use of new technologies, development of innovative products, etc. These changes are mainly supposed to direct the company towards continuous improvement of business performance and sustainable competitiveness. These activities also reveal a lot of (more or less) problematic areas and procedures and to them is devoted the first part of this work. Then, in the second part, there is described approach and techniques of managing these changes in a large software company over a specified period of time. Confrontation of this real praxis with the theoretical background is output of the final part of the work, including suggestions and recommendations of solutions for the areas of change management, in which the company has still room for improvement.

Transformation of IT within a global corporation
Slota, Juraj ; Střížová, Vlasta (advisor) ; Toman, Pavel (referee)
This thesis deals with the changes in the organizational structure of the IT department at Procter & Gamble over the past 9 years. During this time, the originally functionally and geographically scattered IT function, has been integrated into a centralized function and renamed to Information and Decision Solutions, to mark its shift in direction from a support function to a true strategic partner of the various PG businesses. This function was then further integrated in to the Global Business Service shared-service organization. The non-strategic services have been outsourced, mainly to Hewlett Packard, to allow GBS to focus on IT-driven innovation and bringing more value to the Company. To achieve this goal, GBS has undergone several changes in its structure, to emerge today as an organization with a "hypertext-bureaucracy" hybrid structure. This allows for a flexible, process-based approach, enabling to GBS address the biggest priorities as they arise. The changes have nevertheless brought about some difficulties, whose implications and ideas for mitigation are explored towards the end of this thesis.
