Interactive Foreground/Background Segmentation on Mobile Phone
Studený, Petr ; Szentandrási, István (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of foreground extraction on mobile devices. The main goal of this project is to find or design segmentation methods for separating a user-selected object from an image (or video). The main requirement of these methods is the image processing time and segmentation quality. Some existing solutions of this problem are mentioned and their usability on mobile devices is discussed. A mobile application is created within the project, demonstrating the implemented real time foreground extraction algorithm.

Mutual Notification of Smart Phone and Server
Douděra, Martin ; Korček, Pavol (referee) ; Kořenek, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with notification between smart phone and application server which controls intelligent home. It is focused on Android mobile platform and it is implemented for that platform. Notification service Google Cloud Messaging is used because it is not possible to directly address mobile phones from server. Based on actual position and user defined area the server is informed about moving to or from the area. The server can perform defined event automatically with these information. Implementation was tested in real system. Alpha and beta versions were regularly published.

ELECTRE methods: theory and applications
Pieter, Michal ; Jablonský, Josef (advisor) ; Fiala, Petr (referee)
Multiple-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a field of decision theory concerned with analyzing discrete sets of variables evaluated by multiple criteria. Facilitating decisions in such situations are several methods, among them a family known as ELECTRE. Using threshold values and the concept of outranking, they allow for improved modeling of the uncertain nature of real systems. This thesis sets out to describe all of the basic ELECTRE methods, as well as several of their modifications and further extensions and aims to do so with a sufficient level of detail and using precise mathematical language. It also presents key applications of said methods and reviews their implementation in software. Lastly, it introduces a brand new software, ELIA, developed as a part of the thesis. It allows users to solve practical problems using four of the basic ELECTRE methods.

Landscape management - lessons from the landscape development
Petřík, Petr ; Fanta, J.
The landscape of the Czech Republic is unable to sufficiently compensate for extreme weather events such as droughts and floods within the current climate change. Damage is done to human health, property and key resources (water, soil and biodiversity), and costs are rising in agriculture and forestry. Sustainable soil management is in the public interest, and the fundamental question is how to encourage land users to farm the landscape while respecting its fine-grained mosaic and in accordance with the European Landscape Convention. For this purpose, we have set up the so-called Platform for Sustainable Landscape Management, in which research institutes even outside the Academy of Sciences are increasingly involved. The main objectives of the platform are the sharing of information, assistance in developing strategic advice and education on sustainable landscape.

Payment for goods and services via mobile communication
Roman, Martin ; Pavlíček, Antonín (advisor) ; Exnarová, Anna (referee)
The aim of my work was to analyze actual possibilities of payment by mobile communications, focusing on the European Union and to detect on the basis of a survey how the current services are used and how they are perceived by users. Next, there is suggested own solution of using mobile phones for payments with the present conditions. The work includes a case study which focuses on mobile micro-payments and involves currently used solutions for these payments in the Slovak Republic. The work is divided into three parts. The first part contains a definition of the mobile payments, explains words which are related to the work and analysis of the current payment options with comparing payments via mobile phones. The second part analyzes the most used payment options via mobile phones and their use in different regions of the world. The third part consists of evaluate analyze, a concept of own solution for mobile payments, a case study of micro-payments and the questionnaire.

From this conditions will arise the recommendations to Apple company, how is possible to bolster its position on mobile phone market. The theoretical part of thesis place emphasis on description of marketing mix, brand theory and consumer buying behavior. Practical part is based on studied secondary data. There is detailed description of Apple company its brand building strategy, situation on smartphone market with marketing instruments, that are used on this specific market. Quantitative questionnaire survey performed in electronical form creates a core of the practical part of the thesis and is preceded by qualitative pre-survey on seven iPhone users. Precisely 154 respondents participated on questionnaire survey that observed thoughts and judgements of questioned people about Apple brand. There are included opinions of owners, that own various smartphone brands and also respondents from the group of Apple iPhone users. The responses of both groups are in the chapter of appraisal results and conditions compared along with studied secondary data. These outcomes of questionnaire survey and secondary data are used as a framework to completion several recommendations for Apple brand and the whole company on this market. Almost three quarters of owners, that use all chosen smartphone brands, perceive the prices of Apple smartphones as overly high. Just as the first group evaluates the situation a bit more than half of the iPhone users, although inside this group is a lower sensitivity on Apple products price perception. One of the important recommendation for Apple company is to be more efficient in communication about the adjustment of its smartphone prices and pricing policy towards to consumers across the countries. It is necessary to obtain more consumers from a group of new Apple brand users and students. These expects the offer of cheaper smartphone in high quality medium category. In case of their satisfaction is there scope for Apple to offer them its premium smartphones in the top category.

Draft of Mobile Application Prototype for Students of Faculty of Management of University of Economics Prague
Pěnčík, Jan ; Novák, Michal (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
This study looks at creating a mobile application prototype of Faculty of Management of University of Economics Prague. The theoretical section discusses the digital product design process, the particularities of the mobile user interface and general cognitive theory. In the practical section, personas and product functional requirements are modelled using user research. The key application structure is designed on the basis of these requirements and cases of use. Finally, an interactive prototype is created and the most important parts of the application are refined using visual design.
