Public transport in Prague

This bachelor thesis is oriented on the problem of public transport in our capital city as you understand from the title "Public transport in Prague". The word is divided in theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part it is shown widely Prague's transport, it is described here the history, present time and possibilities in the future. It is mainly oriented on underground, trams and buses. Further it is described the ticket system, tariff zones and function of pick up company of the cars who are parked wrongly. The practical part is made of results on a research questionnaire that I made among students in the university. The questions in the survey are related to how much the public transport is used, the comfort of transport, the way of paying and security from the point of view of the students in the university. I analyzed the results of the questionnaire and I tried to give possible solutions to the problematic parts.
Evaluation of public transport in Minsk and ways of improving

This thesis describes the system of public transport in Minsk. Theoretical part contains information about the history of public transport in the capital of Belarus, and describes the administrative division of Minsk. The practical part deals with the analysis of public transport from different angles: prognostication, planning, organization, and control. In addition the development of public transport is described and ways of improving the whole system of public transport in Minsk are proposed.

This Bachelor's Thesis is focused on public transport in the Český Brod area. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on railway and bus transport, because these two transport subsystems are in Český Brod. The practical part is focused on the Prague Integrated Transport, railway transport, bus transport and continuity of railway and bus transport and it's optimization. The continuity of the two transport subsystems and it's optimization is the main objective of this Bachelor's Thesis.
Comparison of the relative costs of public transport of selected regional cities

This bachelor thesis deals with cost of public transport in chosen region cities of Czech republic. Thesis examines the use of statistic modeling and comparision, if there is a correlation between the size of cities by population and per capita costs of the city. Another indicator examined is the cost per one transported and their dependence on the size of city, again according to population. Costs are dividing into investment costs and operating expenses, examines period 2003-2009.
Analysis of integrated public transport systems, Brno and Bratislava

This bachelor thesis is focused on the integrated public transport systems in Brno and Bratislava. The theoretical part explains the basic terms, what should help the reader to better understand how the integrated public transport systems operate. The practical part consists of the history of public transportation in both cities, then the history of integrated public transport systems, in which cities are involved and finally how both of the systems operate. In the conclusion, both systems are compared to each other.
Transport infrastructure in Prague and Minsk

The main aim of this thesis is to analyze and compare the transport infrastructure of Prague and Minsk. I'll try not only to compare these two transport infrastructures, but to find problems in these infrastructures. I will try to compare transportation of passenger of both countries, including the ability and quality of transport, means of transport, prices for different modes of transport. In the theoretical part I'll present what is the network of city, its layout, which means of transport it includes. In the next part I'll describe different types of transport, means of transport and their varieties. The practical part will include descriptions of two transport systems in Prague and Minsk. It will be followed by an analysis of transportation systems through the comparison of two transport infrastructures in order to identify differences between them. In the final part of this work is the analysis of transport infrastructures in Minsk and Prague, descriptions of main differences in Prague and Minsk, potential changes and potential changes.
Municipal transportation system of Bratislava

This thesis deals with municipal transportation system of Bratislava. It is shown here its history, present and future plans which are associated with project Bratislava Integrated Transport. In the first part I define keys terms associated with public transport. In the second part I focused on realization of municipal transportation system in Bratislava and last part shows the expected development to 2020.
Public transport in Switzerland with the intention of canton Zurich and comparison with PIT

The main goal of the thesis is an analysis of Swiss public transport with the intention of transport integrated system of canton Zurich and transport integrated system of Prague and their comparison. The first part of the thesis is focused on definition and characteristics of public transport and transport integrated systems. Detailed are mentioned history, statistics, organization and economics of both transport integrated systems. On theoretical basics the thesis compares some parameters of both transport systems. The thesis brings the results of the comparison of public transport of two areas, which are different from the economical and historical point of view.
Occupancy analysis of chosen area of public transport in Ústí nad Labem

Main objective of this work is to introduce public transport in Ústí nad Labem and to create analysis and evaluation of service line 16 through own traffic survey. Information is obtained by counting people in buses and writing down records into counting form. Data are then processed in MS Excel, where the database is created and in which pivot table is made. Information from pivot table is transfered into well-aranged tables and graphs. Global indicators of supply and demand with maximum occupancy of the line are assessed first, then global stops and between stops turns are processed and finally graphs for each between stops turns for each line are made. In the end everything is assessed with variable costs and combinations of different solutions of potentially economical measures are looked up. Economical factors and negative impacts are taken in account and acceptable kompromise is being found.
